Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Ratnagiri and Sangli, Maharashtra on Friday. Shri Amit Shah highlighted the appeasement politics of Congress and Nakli Shivsena, while praising PM Shri Narendra Modi’s development work. During the meeting, state BJP President Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Union Minister Shri Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister Shri Bhagwat Karad, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg Lok Sabha candidate Shri Narayan Rane, Sangli Lok Sabha candidate Shri Sanjay Patil, Kankavli MLA Shri Nitesh Rane, Shri Nilesh Rane and other leaders were present on the stage.

Shri Shah highlighted the significance of Ratnagiri-Sindudurg, noting that the Sindudurg fort embodies the narrative of Hindvi Samaj and stands as a testament to the valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Ratnagiri is renowned as the birthplace of Lokmanya Tilak, a staunch opponent of British rule who famously advocated for "Swaraj Mera Janamsiddha Adhikar Hai". Additionally, the region witnessed the unwavering dedication of Vir Savarkar, who spent two years in prison here. Furthermore, Ratnagiri is the birthplace of two Bharat Ratna awardees, Shri PV Kane and Shri Dhondo Keshava Rao, who significantly contributed to the upliftment of the area. In the two phases of elections held so far, PM Shri Narendra Modi has surged ahead with a century of votes. As we approach the third phase, we focus on laying a robust foundation for achieving the ambitious goal of '400 Paar'. On one side, there is a party that ensured the construction of the Ram Mandir, while on the other side, there is one that opposed it. One party advocates for 'Vote for Vikas', while the other promotes 'Vote for Jihad'.  On one side, there is a focus on the country's welfare, while on the other, there is a focus on the welfare of their own family. On one side, there is Rahul Baba's Chinese guarantee, while on the other side, there is Modi's Bharatiya guarantee. Nakli Sena President Uddhav Thackeray has refrained from mentioning the name of Vir Savarkar, possibly out of a sense of shame. The upcoming election presents an opportunity to re-elect Shri Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third time. Each vote for Shri Narayan Rane will contribute to the victory of PM Shri Narendra Modi.

Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation stated that Making Shri Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time means making the country prosper. Former PM Shri Manmohan Singh left our economy at number 11. But Shri Narendra Modi brought it to 5th position in just 10 years. After electing Shri Narendra Modi Prime Minister for the third time, we will work to bring India's economy to the third position in the world and this is the 'Modi Ki Guarantee.' Union Home Minister emphasized that AICC President Mallikarjjun Kharge questions the connection of Kashmir with Rajasthan and Maharashtra. He should understand that every child in Ratnagiri-Sindudurg is ready to sacrifice their life for Kashmir. For 70 years, the Congress party along with Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar treated Article 370 like an orphan child. On August 5, 2019, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi abolished Article 370. Rahul Gandhi in Parliament had claimed that rivers of blood would flow in Kashmir after the removal of Article 370, but five years have passed and not even a stone has been lifted and now possession of Janmashtami and Ram Navami take place at Lal Chowk. Uddhav Thackeray should clarify to the people of Maharashtra and the followers of Balasaheb Thackeray whether their priority is holding the post of Chief Minister or aligning with parties such as Congress and NCP, known for their support of Article 370. He asked the people of Maharastra to think about whether Uddhav Thackeray who allied with leaders like Sharad Pawar and Rahul Gandhi are truly capable of upholding Maharashtra's pride. During Sonia-Manmohan's UPA tenure, there were purportedly frequent bomb attacks across the nation, with minimal action taken by Manmohan Singh possibly due to political Vote Bank. However, under PM Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, the response to attacks like those in Uri and Pulwama was swift and decisive. Within 10 days, surgical and air strikes were conducted against Pakistan, demonstrating a proactive approach to national security.

Shri Shah mentioned that in a recent incident in Chhattisgarh, 29 Naxals were reportedly killed under the BJP government. However, Congress questioned the encounter and labelled it as 'Fake', which has been viewed as a matter of shame. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spearheaded the construction of the Ram Mandir in his second term despite a decade-long opposition from the Congress and Sharad Pawar. Uddhav Thackeray should clarify whether the CAA should have been implemented and whether the PFI should have been banned or not. Uddhav Thackeray cannot openly welcome the decision of Ram Mandir because he did not want to upset their new Vot Bank. Uddhav Thackeray should acknowledge that the triple talaq abrogation was a good step and the ban on PFI was also a good step. He cannot acknowledge it now. PM Shri Narendra Modi has not only prioritized the construction of the Ram Mandir but has also undertaken various other development projects such as the Kashi Vishwanath corridor, the redevelopment of Somnath Mandir with gold, and the revitalization of Kedar Dham and Badri Dham. However, Congress' involvement in appeasement politics has posed obstacles to these development initiatives. PM Shri Narendra Modi removed Article 370, paved the way for Ram Mandir, banned PFI and ended triple talaq. In BJP’s manifesto, PM Modi has promised that in his third term, we will work to implement UCC in the entire country and abolish Muslim Personal Law. The Congress agenda includes bringing back practices like Triple Talaq, reinstating Article 370, and upholding the Muslim Personal Law. Uddhav Thackeray should clarify whether he aligns with the Congress manifesto on critical issues such as the abolition of Triple Talaq, Muslim Personal Law, and Article 370.

Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation asserted that PM Shri Modi provided 33 per cent reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. He emphasized the importance of Uddhav Thackeray addressing these concerns, as the people of Maharashtra are keen to understand his stance on these significant matters. Being born to Balasaheb Thackeray doesn't automatically mean Uddhav Thackeray carries the true legacy associated with the name. That legacy has been truly upheld by leaders like Shri Narayan Rane, Shri Eknath Shinde, and Shri Raj Thackeray. Sharad Pawar must provide answers regarding why Asia's largest sugar mill was shut down in Maharashtra, why there was no progress on the Tembhu Irrigation Scheme from 1998 to 2014, and why a significant amount of ₹2,109 crore was spent on it from 2014 to 2024. Previously, Maharashtra boasted 201 sugar mills, but currently, only 101 sugar mills remain operational. Similarly, out of 34 district banks, only 3-4 are still in operation today. Under the Modi government, an additional ₹1188 crore was allocated, resulting in the irrigation of 2 lakh acres of land. Under the Mhaisal irrigation project, 95 thousand acres of land across 62 villages have been benefited. Additionally, a 200-megawatt solar electricity project has been initiated to ensure adequate electricity supply. Efforts are underway to upgrade Miraj Junction into a state-of-the-art railway station, with an estimated cost of Rs 300 crores. Additionally, construction is ongoing for the development of eight new flyovers in Sangli, with a budget of Rs 257 crores. PM Shri Modi has waived income tax amounting to Rs 15 thousand crores for sugar mills. Additionally, he stands out as the only Prime Minister to have visited the North East a remarkable 70 times. In contrast, all the previous Prime Ministers combined visited the region only 22 times over 65 years.

Shri Shah criticized the INDI Alliance, likening it to an ‘Aurangzeb Fan Club’. People should choose between supporting PM Shri Modi’s vision or aligning with a group associated with Aurangzeb. Shri Shah highlighted the controversy surrounding the renaming of Aurangabad, with protests from the INDI alliance. He reminded Uddhav Thackery that the name Aurangabad was originally bestowed by his late father, Balasaheb Thackeray, in honour of Sambhaji Maharaj, a decision implemented during the BJP-Shiv Sena government's tenure.

Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation highlighted that over 80 crore people have received free ration in the nation and 4 lakh families in Sangli, 14 crore toilets have been constructed nationwide, and over 3 crore houses have been built nationwide and 17 thousand in Sangli, including 12 thousand in Ratnagiri alone. Additionally, 11 crore women received gas connections, and 55 crore poor individuals received health cover of ₹5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat. Free COVID-19 vaccines have been provided to 130 crore people nationwide, including 3 lakh families in Sindhudurg. Despite Rahul Gandhi's mockery and attempts to discourage vaccination by labelling it 'Modi Teeka', people still chose to get vaccinated. Even he quietly received the vaccine himself. Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar were allegedly involved in a corruption scandal during the pandemic, dubbed the ‘Khichdi Scam.’ Shri Shah highlighted the achievements in the Konkan region, including the electrification of the Konkan railway line and the operationalization of Sindhudurg Airport. Vande Bharat trains have been assigned to Konkan, and the construction of 12 new railway stations is underway. Moreover, the NDA government has established a Cashew Board to support cashew farmers, and a dedicated board for Ratnagiri mangoes is in the works. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has provided Kisan Samman Nidhi to 11 lakh farmers nationwide and 4 lakhs in Sangli, facilitated tap water supply to 84 thousand households and initiated a fisheries project costing ₹121 crore. A project worth ₹13 thousand crore for Vishwakarma brothers is also underway under his guidance. Furthermore, loans amounting to ₹13 thousand crores are being disbursed to the poor under the Vishwakarma Yojana initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Now is the time to fulfil the vision of 'Viksit Bharat.'

Shri Shah asserted that India deserves to be at the forefront, and leaders like Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Mamata Banerjee, and Rahul Gandhi cannot elevate the country to that position. Even hypothetically considering the INDI alliance, there's a notable absence of suitable leaders for the Prime Ministerial role. None of these leaders are perceived as viable candidates to lead the nation as Prime Minister. What India needs is a robust government under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, known for his unblemished integrity and relentless dedication. PM Shri Modi has served as PM and CM for 23 years without taking a single holiday. In contrast, the INDI alliance, embroiled in scams worth ₹12 lakh crore, and leaders like Rahul Gandhi, frequently seen vacationing in Thailand, are not equipped to lead the nation. Only PM Shri Narendra Modi can lead India to the top position. Under PM Shri Narendra Modi's leadership, Maharashtra has received a significant allocation of ₹10 lakh 80 thousand crore, compared to ₹1 lakh 91 thousand crore during the UPA government's tenure. Furthermore, Shri Devendra Fadnavis has propelled Maharashtra to the forefront in terms of investment.

Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation emphasized that the BJP has presented Ratnagiri with a significant figure like Shri Narayan Rane. Therefore, the people of Ratnagiri must extend their support to him and ensure his resounding victory. Shri Shah urged the people to ensure that the NDA crosses the 400-seat mark, thereby securing Shri Narendra Modi's position as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.
