Hon’ble Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda released the party's 'Vision Document 2023' for Mizoram Assembly election on Friday, promising many important developmental features including Sports Academy with scholarships for aspiring athletes, set up of a Mizoram Olympic Mission and 33 per cent reservation for women in government jobs.

Hon’ble National President began his speech by acknowledging and addressing a distinguished lineup of individuals, including the dynamic BJP Mizoram President Shri Vanlalhmuaka, Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Shri Yanthungo Patton, National Spokesperson Shri Sambit Patra, National Secretary Shri Anil Antonny, Shri Kakon Rudra, and West Bengal MP Shri John Barla. He expressed that it is a significant opportunity for him to outline the Vision for the next five years in Mizoram. He aims to elucidate the objectives of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the people of Mizoram and articulate the path to realize this vision. He mentioned that his purpose in Mizoram is to unveil the "Vision Document."

Shri Nadda started by congratulating his colleagues who had devoted their efforts to turn this vision document into a tangible reality. Many political parties publish their vision documents, mission statements, or manifestos, but frequently, these documents are seen as mere pieces of paper. This is because these documents often lack a genuine sense of commitment, and the parties themselves may doubt their ability to effectively pursue the outlined vision or fulfill their commitments to the people. BJP’s approach to a vision document is marked by thorough research and a strong emphasis on financial aspects. They prioritize creating a well-researched and financially sound document, which distinguishes them from some other political parties. Their approach to the task involves posing questions such as, "How can we achieve our goals? What will be our roadmap to success?" This approach necessitates diligent work, in-depth research, and a rigorous process for developing the vision document. The document is only presented after thoroughly addressing these questions and conducting extensive research.

Hon’ble National President emphasized that the Northeast region is undergoing a significant positive transformation. The process of integrating the Northeast has been successfully carried out under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. We can see Mizoram, along with the entire Northeast, advancing in a positive direction through the various ongoing activities and initiatives. Shri J.P. Nadda observed that the Northeast region, including Mizoram, was once plagued by issues such as strikes, blockades, insurgency, abductions, targeted attacks, and assassinations. This was a common occurrence in the past. However, after the NDA government and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took over, with him assuming the role of Pradhan Sevak and leading the country, we witnessed a significant shift toward peace, prosperity, and development in the region. He shared the information that a remarkable 80% reduction in insurgency has been achieved in the Northeast region. Additionally, the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) has been lifted in approximately 66% of the affected areas, reflecting a significant step toward peace and normalcy in the region. This demonstrates the improvement in law and order in Mizoram and its neighboring states.

Shri Nadda emphasized that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi prioritizes the eight pillars of democracy, including peace, empowerment, tourism, 5G connectivity, cultural preservation, natural farming, sports promotion, and the potential of Northeastern people, with a special focus on Mizoram. He expressed the party's commitment to the principles of peace, prosperity, and progress, emphasizing that they have been working diligently to integrate the Northeast region in alignment with these principles. During the launch of this vision document, He emphasized that our party follows a "report card politics" approach. It's worth noting that the political culture in the country has undergone a significant transformation under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He noted that in the past, election campaigns often revolved around issues related to religion, caste, creed, regionalism, and the pursuit of vote banks based on these factors. Ever since Prime Minister Modi took office, the very nature of politics has undergone a significant transformation. Now, the definition of politics revolves around the politics of performance, accountability, and development in every area. The BJP's ideology is inclusive, believing that every region is part of our collective responsibility, and development should occur without discrimination based on region, language, area, or creed. They are committed to fostering the progress of all. Hence, they adhere to the philosophy of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas."

The BJP National President acknowledged that India has emerged as a bright spot and is recognized as the only stable economy that is advancing and progressing. He further highlighted that countries like the United States, Europe, Australia, and Japan are currently grappling with economic challenges. In contrast, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has recognized India as the only stable economy and further acknowledges that it is the fastest-growing economy as well. Over the past nine years, India has made remarkable economic progress, rising from the 11th position in the global economy to now being the 5th largest economy in the world. According to the IMF, India is projected to become the 3rd largest economy in the world by the year 2028. The IMF has also acknowledged that 13.5 crore people in India have successfully risen out of Below Poverty Line (BPL) status. Furthermore, over 12% of the Indian population has transitioned out of BPL conditions, and extreme poverty has been significantly reduced to less than 1%. All of these achievements have transpired over the past nine years. The Director of the Asia Pacific has made a prediction that by the year 2028-29, India will be contributing a substantial 18% to the global economy.
