Salient points of the press conference of BJP National spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra

*****************

Kingpin Arvind Kejriwal's refusal to cooperate with the ED investigation, citing festivals and elections, implies his involvement in the liquor scam. Investigating agencies typically issue summons based on facts and evidence. The reason behind Arvind Kejriwal's lack of cooperation in the investigation is a matter of concern and speculation.

*****************

Avoiding the ED investigation can be seen as an acknowledgment of wrongdoing on Arvind Kejriwal's part. His failure to appear before the ED suggests fear and an admission of guilt to some extent. It's not an overstatement to say that Arvind Kejriwal, a key figure in the Delhi liquor scam, has implicitly admitted his involvement in the scandal.

*****************

Arvind Kejriwal used to claim he was extremely honest, but recent events have shown that he is dishonest of all. By avoiding the ED summons, he has not only proven to be dishonest but also shameless.

*****************

A ₹338 crore scandal involving liquor in Delhi has been uncovered. If this is just a small part of the overall liquor scam, one can only imagine how extensive it may be. People like Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendra Jain, who are currently in jail, have been accused of significant corruption in this matter.

*****************

Question 1- Is it not true that, for the first time in Delhi's history, the commission for liquor contractors increased from 5% to 12%, potentially reducing Delhi's revenue significantly? Media reports also suggest that a substantial portion of this money was funneled into the accounts of the Aam Aadmi Party through a money trail?

*****************

Question 2 - When AAP implemented the new liquor policy, they initially convened a committee with Rajeev Dhawan, an officer of the Excise Department. This committee recommended that the government should retain control of wholesale distribution rather than outsourcing it. Did AAP implement these suggestions for their own benefit by circumventing the new excise policy?

*****************

Question 3 - - Is it not true that Arvind Kejriwal awarded liquor contracts to companies that had been previously blacklisted and were not supposed to receive such contracts?

*****************

Question No. 4- Why did you waive off the whopping ₹144 crore license fee of liquor vendors without a Cabinet note, and without obtaining Cabinet approval?

*********************

Question No. 5- If your liquor policy was so good then why did you withdraw the excise policy and in what capacity? As the Chief Minister or as the Chief of the Aam Aadmi Party?

*********************

Question No. 6- It is a law that liquor manufacturers should not go into retail, but despite this law, liquor manufacturers were also kept in retail. Did this lead to cartelization or not?

*********************

Question No.-7.  The Airport Authority of India was not granted an NOC (No Objection Certificate) for the liquor shops that were to be built near the airport, even though the Delhi government had collected 30 crores for the licenses. Why did Arvind Kejriwal return the money when it was supposed to be confiscated?

*********************

If Arvind Kejriwal is innocent, why is he afraid? He should go before the ED and answer the questions. Even after the Supreme Court's order, Arvind Kejriwal does not want to resolve this matter quickly. Does Kejriwal want Manish Sisodia to remain in jail?

*********************

*This is the same Arvind Kejriwal who, in the past, frequently held press conferences claiming to possess substantial evidence against political figures such as Sheila Dikshit, Robert Vadra, Sonia Gandhi, and Lalu Yadav. Today, he is hugging the very same individuals and have formed alliances with them.*

*********************

*Arvind Kejriwal's staunchly honest leader Manish Sisodia's bail has been rejected by the Supreme Court 6 times and the arrest of revolutionary leader Sanjay Singh has been upheld by the Rouse Avenue Court.*

*********************

Arvind Kejriwal should not be afraid to face the investigation into the Delhi liquor scam. If he is innocent, he has nothing to hide. However, if he is the mastermind of the scam, no matter how many road shows he does, he will eventually be exposed.
