Hon’ble BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji today inaugurated the State BJP Office of Nagaland virtually and launched the Membership Drive of Nagaland BJP
The National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday inaugurated the state BJP office and launched the membership drive of Nagaland virtually. He described the state BJP office as a centre of culture for party karyakartas. In the event, State President of Nagaland BJP Shri Temjen Imna Along, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Shri Y Patton, Union Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, National Co-Organization General Secretary Shri Shiv Prakash, BJP Coordinator of North-East states Dr. Sambit Patra, Co-ordinator Shri Rituraj Sinha, BJP MP from Nagaland Mrs. S Phangnon Konyak and Nagaland Organization Minister Mr. Abhay Giri were also present.
● For us, the party office is not merely an office, it is the centre of culture for our karyakartas. Honourable Shri Narendra Modi ji, after becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, had set this goal that the party should have its own well-organized office in every district and in every state headquarters across the country. This mega plan was started by our then National President and the present Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah ji with full enthusiasm and on mission mode. Out of 512 districts across the country, offices in 237 districts have been completed while 153 district offices are under construction.
● Our journey which started with Jan Sangh in 1950, continues today in the form of the Bharatiya Janata Party. For us, the nation comes first, the party comes second and the self comes last. Today BJP is the world's largest democratic party with approximately 18 crore primary members.
● In Nagaland also, the Bharatiya Janata Party has progressed rapidly. In 2013, where our vote share in Nagaland was only 1.8 percent, it increased to 15% in 2018. Today, the BJP has 3.3 lakh primary members in Nagaland.
● Today, I am also starting the membership drive of the Nagaland unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. I thank State BJP President Shri Temjen Imna Along and his entire team for this initiative and best wishes for the success of the drive. We have set the target to increase the party membership to 4 lakh members in Nagaland. ● I request the great people of Nagaland to join hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party for peace, security, unity, progress and prosperity in the state and strengthen the hands of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
● In almost all the political parties in the country, the family is the party, whereas for the Bharatiya Janata Party, the party is the family. This is the basic difference between the BJP and other parties. Countless great leaders like respected Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee ji, revered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji, revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, Hon’ble Shri LK Advani ji, revered Kushabhau Thackeray ji and Hon’ble Shri Murli Manohar ji have nurtured this party.
● BJP believes in all-inclusive development. We follow the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Under the leadership of our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, BJP believes in service, good governance and last mile delivery.
● Views and ideology of almost all the political parties in the country changed over time as they became selfish for power, but the BJP is the only party which never diverts from its ideology and principles. The resolution which we took in 1950, we have stuck to it and fulfilled it. Article 370 was abolished under the leadership of our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Jammu and Kashmir became an integral part of India.
● The New Education Policy is Bharat's education policy which gives equal opportunity to everyone to move forward and get higher education in their mother tongue. Similarly, the National Health Policy has also given a new dimension to our health infrastructure.
● The Narendra Modi government is pro-active, pro-responsive and pro-responsible. Our respected Prime Minister has established the culture of politics of ‘Report Card’ in the country. The Bharatiya Janata Party has established pro-incumbency instead of anti-incumbency in the country's politics, which has transformed India's polity. Once our government comes, the public gives us the opportunity to serve again and again.
● Our Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji talks about "Act East" and not "Look East". He himself has visited the North-East about 50 times. Every 15 days, one of our Union Ministers visits the Northeast and takes stock of the development works there.
● Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, a peaceful solution to the Bodo movement has been reached. The Karbi-Onlong problem has been resolved. The Bru-Reang Pact has been implemented peacefully in Tripura. The Naga Peace Accord has also been implemented peacefully. Disputes between the states of the Northeast are also being settled peacefully. The northeastern states used to be under bandh, blockade and insurgency-stricken , but today they are writing a new story of development, growth and prosperity. This has been made possible only because of the dynamic and decisive leadership of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji .
● In the last eight years, under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, there has been a reduction of 80 percent in the insurgency in the North Eastern states. Similarly, there has been a reduction of about 74 per cent in militancy incidents and 75 per cent in casualties among security forces personnel. AFSPA has been removed from about 66 percent of the area. Disturbed Area Notification has been withdrawn from 15 police stations and 7 districts of Nagaland.
● AIIMS is coming up in Guwahati. In the Northeast, 23 air routes have started under 'UDAN' scheme. The country's first sports university has been established in Manipur. Bamboo is classified as a grass. About 4,016 km of road projects are in progress in Nagaland. The National Highway in Nagaland was only 880 km till 2014, which has been increased to 1,547 km. After almost 100 years, Nagaland has got the second railway station due to the development oriented policies of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.
● About Rs 3,235 crore has been given for the highway in Nagaland. About Rs 11,711 crore has been given to Nagaland for 55 road projects of 1,063 km route. Assam is being connected to Kohima by a broad gauge rail route. Around 3.3 lakh people of Nagaland have been benefited by the Van Dhan Yojana. Nagaland has done a great job in Covid vaccination.
● Approximately Rs 100 crore is being spent on the AYUSH health sector in Nagaland. An Ayush hospital is coming up in Kohima. An Ayurveda hospital is being built at a cost of Rs 70 crore. Around 4,000 people of the state have benefited from the PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana. Around 2.53 lakh families of Nagaland have benefited from Ayushman Bharat. About 1.40 lakh toilets have been built in the state under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and about 65,000 women of the state have been benefited under the Ujjwala Gas Yojana. Approximately 14 lakh beneficiaries of Nagaland have benefited from Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. About 55,000 houses have been built in Nagaland under the PM Awas Yojana.
● The karyakartas of Bharatiya Janata Party have included seven qualities in them. These are service (सेवा भाव), balance (संतुलन), patience (संयम), coordination (समन्वय), positivity (सकारात्मकता), sensitivity (संवेदना) and dialogue (सनाद). Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is fulfilling the dream of a safe, prosperous and developed India. We have to strengthen his hands.
● I want to appeal to all the karyakartas of the party that all of you should promote the development works of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in Nagaland, take the achievements of our double engine government to door to door and connect people with the party. We will continue to work hard for the welfare of the people of the entire Northeast including Nagaland.
