“BJYM to Hold Nationwide Protests against Congress's Disregard for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar & Rahul Gandhi's Unruly Conduct in Parliament”
NEW DELHI, December 19, 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) is organising nation-wide protests in all its organisational districts against the Congress Party's false propaganda and disrespect of the Constitution's architect Dr BR Ambedkar, as well as the unruly conduct of Rahul Gandhi during the ongoing Parliament Session.
The BJYM is also condemning the disrespect on the legacy and contributions of Dr Ambedkar by the Congress.
In a shocking incident today, Rahul Gandhi's unruly behavior in Parliament led to physical altercations, during which BJP MPs Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi and Shri Mukesh Rajput were injured and had to be hospitalized. This unacceptable conduct marks a dark chapter in parliamentary history, highlighting the opposition's blatant disregard for the dignity of the House.
To protest against this conduct and uphold the values of equality, justice, and democracy championed by Dr. Ambedkar, the BJYM is holding massive nationwide demonstrations. BJYM karyakartas are being mobilised at all district and state headquarters of the Congress party, demanding an unconditional apology from the leadership of the INC for its repeated acts of disrespect and deliberate attempts to mislead the nation.
BJYM National President and Member of Parliament Shri Tejasvi Surya condemned the opposition's behaviour, highlighting that their actions are a deliberate obstruction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a 'Viksit Bharat'. He reiterated BJYM's commitment to Dr. Ambedkar's ideals and called upon the youth of India to stand united against any attempts to tarnish the legacy of our national icons.
"Today, we are not just protesting against a political party; we are defending the principles of democracy, accountability, and respect for our constitutional values," said Shri Surya. "The youth of India will not tolerate such behaviour, and through our collective voice, we shall ensure that the spirit of Dr. Ambedkar's vision remains intact."
The BJYM also urged every young Indian to join the movement and take a stand against the Congress's divisive politics and disruptive tactics.
