On behalf of BJP, I convey my congratulations and felicitations on your nomination as the Prime Minister of Nepal. The Heroic struggle of the people of Nepal has led to restoration of democracy once again and reins have come back again in your experienced hands which certainly is going to bring back Nepal again on the path of development and prosperity. Nepal and India have enjoyed very intimate and friendly relations. Right from the beginning, a strong cultural and civilizational link between two great nations has only reinforced our strong bonds. As a veteran public leader of eminence, you yourself have always advocated strong Indo-Nepal amity. In your leadership not only between governments but even people to people relationship between these two great countries would be strengthened once again.
The Sovereign people of Nepal should be given every right to decide their on destiny. However it is important to note that the security interests of India and Nepal also have common concerns. India, Nepal both do face identical challenges on many issues of internal security. I am sure under your leadership our legitimate security concerns would be addressed. The BJP would continue to render its co-operation to you and extend warm wishes to the people of Nepal.
