Leader of Opposition, Lok Sabha, Smt. Sushma Swaraj to dedicate web portal on Vajpayee to the nation
Just a clique of mouse can take you to Shivaji Park in Mumbai or Chandni Chowk in Delhi to listen to the enthralling speech of the most popular public speaker of our times, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister known for his excellent oratorical skills. This is going to be possible as Smt Sushma Swaraj, Leader of the Opposition (Lok Sabha) will be formally dedicating to the nation the web portal www.ataljee.org on 15th January 2013 at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi.
This web portal has been designed and developed by the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) as a part of its Samagra Ataljee (Entire Atal Bihari Vajpayee) Project.
It was the BJP National President Shri Nitin Gadkari who had made an official announcement about the Samagra Ataljee project in December 2010. The execution of this project was initiated and entrusted to the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini. The portal that is being launched hosts a huge compilation of pictures, videos, articles, poems and books on and by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Vajpayee will be the only other former Prime Minister besides Pandit Nehru to have a strong web presence of this kind. What makes the Samagra Ataljee Project unique is that this collation and digitisation of documents involves hundreds of thousands of pages of oral, written and visual material related to Ataljee and spanning over five decades of his memorable and inspiring political journey. It is for the first time in the history of the BJP and probably India that the digitisation of all the significant works and material related to a political personality is being undertaken at such a significant scale with the objective of making it freely available through a web portal to the public at large.
Enrichment and further development of this portal will be an ongoing process even after the portal is launched as several of Vajpayee fans continue sending their personal collections of pictures, letters and audios of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
At the launch of this portal, two of very close associates of Vajpayee, Shiv Kumar and advocate N M Ghatate will be felicitated for their service to the cause. Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe of Mhalgi Prabodhini and Sumeet Bhasin of the Samagra Ataljee project would be making presentations at this function to be presided over by Vijender Gupta, Delhi BJP Chief.
