BJP welcomes reconvening of Parliament session from 10th to 23rd May. However, a fundamental question, which arises is, "Why was then Parliament adjourned sine die?" This only goes to vindicate our stand that the Congress Government wanted to bring an ordinance to save one particular person. Once they were caught red handed they decided to abandon the ordinance route and finally wisdom prevailed that you cannot play a fraud on the constitution as it will be a subversion of Parliament. We feel had the government followed a straight route on the "office of profit" through a bill being introduced in the Parliament, the country could have avoided an unnecessary debate for last 15 days.

BJP will comment on the proposed bill after getting the draft from the government.
