Salient Points of Press Conference BJP National Spokesperson Shri Tom Vadakkan
Left leader G. Sudhakaran is asking a very relevant question that needs answers. He has asked, is Kerala now number 1 in drug abuse in India?

G. Sudhakaran has also hit out against the propaganda that is being run in the media in Kerala, that the Kerala government is number 1 in a variety of things
********************
Sudhakaran pointed out that for the last two years, there have been repeated leakages of exam papers. Law and order is a basic service every government is expected to ensure, but that intent is missing in the Left government

Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar has demanded the resignation of the Kerala Chief Minister, and we reiterate the same from this platform — “Pinarayi Vijayan must resign.” Such a government has no right to continue

The former Kerala Minister has also raised the issue of the influx of illicit drugs being more rampant in Kerala than in any other state. Routine police checks are now uncovering large quantities of drugs in schools and colleges

BJP humbly submit that a high-level investigation must be ordered, especially since these serious charges are being raised not by the BJP but by a senior Left leader, G. Sudhakaran

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Tom Vadakkan addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Wednesday. During the conference, Shri Tom Vadakkan cited senior Left leader G. Sudhakaran’s concerns on rampant drug use, education stands compromised in Kerala. Shri Vadakkan demanded CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s resignation and a high-level probe.
Shri Vadakkan stated that there is a very strange story emanating from the state of Kerala. G. Sudhakaran, who has been an MLA for two decades and a minister in the Left government as held several ministries, is asking a very relevant question that needs answers. “Is Kerala now number 1 in drug usage in India? - ask G Sudhakaran. A very strange question coming from an eminent Left leader. He has also hit out against the propaganda that is being run in the media in Kerala, that the Kerala government is number 1 in a variety of things. He spoke about the health sector, which is in a complete mess, and the education sector, which stands compromised. Sudhakaran pointed out that for the last two years, there have been repeated leakages of exam papers. The truth is that people of Kerala are struggling to keep themselves happy enough to survive in the state due to various reason. The health sector in a complete mess. Law and order is a basic service every government is expected to ensure, but that intent is missing in the Left government. The influx of illicit drugs is more rampant in Kerala than in any other state. Routine police checks are now uncovering large quantities of drugs in schools and colleges. This is an extremely dangerous trend.
BJP National Spokesperson Shri Vadakkan stated this is not the BJP saying it but a senior Left leader who has been an MLA for over two decades. The BJP’s question still stands. We have consistently raised the issue of corruption. President of BJP Kerala State and former Union Minister Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar has demanded the resignation of the Kerala Chief Minister, as corruption has now reached the Chief Minister's Office. We reiterate the same demand from this very platform—“Pinarayi Vijayan must resign.” Such a government has no right to continue. The resolution passed against the Waqf Bill is now facing backlash—not just from leaders of political parties but also various communities across Kerala; the Catholic community has openly revolted. These are the conditions under which the Kerala government is operating. We humbly submit that a high-level investigation must be ordered, especially since these are serious charges being raised not by the BJP but by a senior Left leader, G. Sudhakaran.
