Bhartiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia and BJP State President Shri Virendra Sachdeva addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Saturday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia and Shri Sachdeva highlighted the issue of an Aam Aadmi Party MLA threatening local builders and demanding ransom, presenting evidence linked to the case. Shri Gaurav Bhatia, while calling on Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi to clarify their stance and take action against the MLA, stated that the Aam Aadmi Party, once known for its deep rooted corruption and immorality, has now transformed into a party of hardcore criminals.
BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia stated that the once deeply corrupt Aam Aadmi Party has now transformed into a party of hardcore criminals. The biggest supporter of the Aam Aadmi Party are the gangsters. With Arvind Kejriwal’s approval, corrupt AAP MLA gangsters are openly involved in extortion. Has it now become the responsibility of an elected MLA, who has sworn to uphold the Constitution, to intimidate and extort money from the public with Arvind Kejriwal’s consent? In one audio clip, AAP MLA Naresh Balyan is heard speaking to a gangster, where he tells him to extort money from a builder. Fearing arrest, he even asks the gangster to switch to another phone. The level of collusion, closeness, and friendship between the corrupt AAP MLA and the gangster is such that they are openly exchanging information.
Shri Bhatia stated that the “Arajak Apradh Party” must understand that the people of Delhi did not elect them to be involved in liquor scams or run extortion rackets. Such activities cannot happen without the consent of Arvind Kejriwal. Not long ago, an audio clip surfaced of Naresh Balyan engaging in extortion. Today, another incident has come to light, which makes it clear that this is a syndicate and the corrupt AAP leaders have turned into criminals. Shri Bhatia added that to expose the extortion and threats being made to citizens by the corrupt AAP and its MLAs, three audio clips will be presented to the public.
Shri Gaurav Bhatia, presenting an audio clip of a conversation between AAP MLA Naresh Balyan and a gangster, stated that it is alarming that an MLA from a party in power in Delhi is openly engaging in extortion through threats. The level of closeness between the corrupt AAP MLA and the gangster is such that they are exchanging information. The MLA is seen instructing the gangster to call and threaten builder, and when the builder’s life is in danger, they will extort a ransom. The ransom and extortion will be collected and distributed through hawala channels. This is not the behavior of a legislator, but when the national convener of a corrupt party like AAP is someone like Arvind Kejriwal, the party’s MLAs will inevitably follow suit. Delhi's law and order operate under the central government's framework, and the central government is committed to ensuring the safety of every citizen in Delhi. However, it is deeply concerning that an elected government, which has taken an oath to uphold the Constitution, is threatening the citizens of Delhi.
Shri Bhatia questioned, “What is the position of Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi’s Chief Minister Atishi Marlena regarding this audio? Will they immediately expel this MLA from the party? If they don’t, it will be clear that the extortion is being carried out at the behest of Arvind Kejriwal.” First, there was the liquor scam, and when the money from that stopped, the MLA was given a target to extort between ₹50 to ₹100 crore from the public. He added that the people of Delhi have completely lost trust in the Delhi government.
Shri Gaurav Bhatia stated, “Ye Delhi Mein Badlav Ki Bela Hai Aur Gundon-Apradhiyon Ka Bas Kuch Din Ka Khela Hai.” Everyone knows that this is the corrupt AAP's declining government, and the people of Delhi will ensure in the upcoming assembly elections that they do not even come close to power. Aam Aadmi Party has become a party of criminals, goons, gangsters, and extortionists. Tahir Hussain, an accused in the Delhi riots, is in jail, but Arvind Kejriwal has remained silent about him. Both Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia have been to jail and are currently out on bail. Amanatullah Khan has assaulted an honest individual, AAP MLA and former minister Somnath Bharti has rape charges, and Arvind Kejriwal's close associate, Vibhav Kumar, has disrespected a woman's dignity. Bail and jail represent the true nature of the corrupt AAP, and now, extortion and ransom have been added to the equation.
Shri Bhatia emphasized that the Bharatiya Janata Party will ensure that the extortionist Aam Aadmi Party is uprooted and thrown out, and the people of Delhi will make sure that AAP is not given a chance to sit in the opposition. The BJP will continue this fight until the extortionist mafia, the gangster AAP MLA, is expelled from the party and legal action is taken against them. If such actions have been carried out at the behest of Arvind Kejriwal, then the only place for such criminals is jail.
Shri Virendra Sachdeva highlighted that in the list provided by Shri Gaurav Bhatia, there are several names, including Dinesh Mohaniya, Prakash Jarwal, Akhilesh Pati Tripathi, Jitender Singh Tomar, and Satyendar Jain. These individuals are out on bail, and even Arvind Kejriwal and his entire party are involved in a similar situation. It’s a continuous cycle of bail and jail. After listening to the three audio clips, it will be evident that the MLA himself is suggesting names, specifically those of his close associates, as he knows who has money. Following that, the gangster contacts them for extortion. In this context, names like Vijay Bansal, Rajesh (from Gagan School), and Gurcharan Builders will also be mentioned, along with several others. These are individuals who are connected to the MLA in one way or another. The conversation also revealed that the MLA said, "We will give you the number," to which the gangster responded, "I already have all the numbers from Uttam Nagar; no need to share them." Aam Aadmi Party MLAs are openly involved in such activities, and without any doubt, the investigation agency must immediately launch an inquiry and take strong action against the wrongdoers, ensuring they are sent behind bars.
Shri Virendra Sachdeva pointed out that the Aam Aadmi Party has played a major role in making Delhi a hotspot for criminals. The revelations made by Shri Gaurav Bhatia today reinforce our belief that ‘Jamanati Party’ i.e., the Aam Aadmi Party, is involved in criminal activities that pose a serious threat to the safety of Delhi’s residents. When the public elects leaders through democracy, but those leaders use their position to exploit the same people, it is a matter of concern for the future of Delhi. Through this discussion, we urge the investigation agencies to take immediate action based on the evidence presented and to act swiftly against MLAs with criminal backgrounds.
