Allahabad High Court verdict in case of AMU is a double blow to appeasement politics of Congress in less than 24 hours. Yesterday Hon'ble Supreme Court has refused to stay Andhra High Court decision to crash 5% reservation for Muslims in Andhra and today Allahabad High Court has declared Central Govt.'s decision regarding Aligarh Muslim University as unconstitutional.
The Congress party is pursuing its totally communal agenda by introducing reservations for Muslims on the basis of religion in Aligarh and in Andhra. All efforts have fallen flat as it is against the basic tenets of the Constitution.
BJP deplores communal politics of Congress in appeasing the minorities without real intention to improve their lot. If minorities and weaker section are to be made competitive in employment market, the only option available is concerted efforts of capacity and skill building amongst such sections without any discrimination on the basis of religion.
But Congress is interested only in vote bank politics. It knows well that reservation based on religion will not stand the legal scrutiny. Still it persists with such agenda as it creates feeling of injustice amongst the minorities.
BJP is also opposed to the reservation based on religion as the country was partitioned on the same basis and it believes that nation cannot forget the black chapter of our history so easily
