Salient Points of the Speech given by Hon’ble BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda at ‘Doctors Samvad’ in Ranchi, Jharkhand

 

Bharatiya Janata Party National President and Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda interacted with doctors in Ranchi, Jharkhand on Saturday. Shri Nadda emphasized the development and welfare initiatives implemented by the Modi government. He stated that under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, there has been unparalleled progress in all sectors, including healthcare, over the past 10 years. During the meeting, Union Minister Shri Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MPs Shri Deepak Prakash and Dr. Raghav Charan among other leaders and prominent doctors were present.

 

Key points from the speech given by Shri Nadda -

·      For the first time in 60 years, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has led the country to achieve a historic milestone by securing his third consecutive term, setting a record in Indian politics.

·      When we meet with the doctors' community, the discussions might go short but they have a far-reaching impact.

·      Not only in the health sector, but there has been all-round development in the nation. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, every section and sector has experienced strength and growth over the past 10 years.

·      People who once mocked and questioned the concept of "Acche Din" are now silent because the country has undergone a remarkable transformation.

·      In the last 10 years, a massive investment of ₹90 lakh crore has been directed towards infrastructure development. This has resulted in the creation of four-lane and six-lane highways, industrial corridors, and greenfield projects, all of which stand as a testament to the significant leap in India's development.

·      In Jharkhand, over 2,556 km of National Highways have been constructed, significantly improving the state's infrastructure. The development of underpasses, over-bridges, bypasses and elevated roads has transformed the image of the state.

·      The Opposition used to mock the idea of the internet, claiming that it was unnecessary for an ‘Illiterate country’. However, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji took decisive action and connected 2.5 lakh panchayats with optical fiber. More than 1.5 Lakh villages have a common service center. Today, even vegetable sellers are using online payment for transactions.

·      In the next 5-7 years, India will lead in maritime trade by handling the maximum number of ships at its ports.

·      While countries like the USA, Australia, Europe, Japan, and China are struggling economically, India is being described as a "Bright Spot" by the IMF. India's economy has grown quickly, moving from 11th to 5th place in the world by 2019, overtaking the UK. Under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the nation is expected to become the 3rd largest economy in the world during his third term.

·      25 crore people have come out of the Below Poverty Line and extreme poverty has dropped to less than 1%, according to the IMF. Through the 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana,' 80 crore people are provided with 5 kg of free grains every month, lifting 25 crore people out of poverty.

·      Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, 11.78 crore farmers are getting ₹6,000 annually. More than ₹3 Lakh crore has been given to 11 Lakh 78 Thousand farmers.

·      Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 55 crore people, or 12 crore families, are benefiting from free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh.  On October 29, 2024, the Modi government approved free treatment of ₹5 lakh per year for life to every citizen of the country above the age of 70 years. The BJP will give ₹10 lakh health coverage per year in Jharkhand.

·      The World Bank says, 'India's economic position will remain strong even during the global recession.' During the Corona pandemic, America's economy and health system faltered and the economies of Japan and Europe faltered, but India stood strong with a 6.8% growth rate. 

·      The ‘Bhai-Behen’ of Congress are unaware of poverty and the parameters of unemployment and growth rate and economies.

·      U.S. President Donald Trump considers Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji a good friend and a "tough guy," and Russian President Vladimir Putin sees him as a key "mediator" in efforts to stop the Russia-Ukraine war.

·      Before 2014, India and Pakistan were often mentioned together on the international stage, but that’s no longer the case. Since the Modi government came into power, India stands apart from Pakistan in global diplomatic and political discussions. Unlike former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who would visit America and focus on issues like terrorism and Jammu and Kashmir, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji now travels to the U.S. to engage in discussions on trade, semiconductor technology, IT, and medical cooperation.

·      At the G20 summit, India showcased its strength to the world. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, over 200 G20 meetings were held across the country, giving foreign nations a glimpse of India's diverse culture. Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the Delhi Declaration was successfully adopted.

·      It took 25 years for tuberculosis medicine and 28 years for the tetanus vaccine to be developed in India. However, under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, within just 9 months of the first COVID-19 case in January 2020, two vaccines were developed, and double doses were administered to the entire population of 140 crore, protecting the nation from the pandemic.

·      In the United States, the COVID-19 vaccine certificate is provided on paper, but in India, the certificate is received on the phone. This is the change that has occurred in the country.

·      In 2014, there were only 6 AIIMS in the country, but today there are 22 AIIMS, including the one in Deoghar, Jharkhand. In the future, arrangements will be made so that no patient from Jharkhand needs to travel to Delhi for treatment.

·      Earlier, there were 387 medical colleges in the country, today, there are 766. The number of medical seats has increased by 125%, with 10,000 new medical seats added this year. Efforts are underway to increase 75,000 more medical seats in the future.

·      There was a time when the concern was about "brain drain." Today, we are focused not only on India's progress but also on global well-being. That's why we are committed to producing doctors at scale and advancing the skills of paramedics, ensuring that we can contribute to the service of both our nation and the world.

·      The incidence of tuberculosis has decreased from 237 to 199 per lakh population. The focus is on eliminating tuberculosis and it will be eradicated by 2027. Through Jan Aarogya Kendras, arrangements have been made to provide medicines to the poor.

·      Five new medical colleges have been opened and it has been decided to establish 10 more medical colleges.

·      In Jharkhand, the Infant Mortality Rate has decreased from 34 to 25 and the mortality rate of children under the age of 5 has dropped from 44 to 27. This signifies a significant improvement in healthcare services in Jharkhand.

·      The Modi government is a responsible, responsive, proactive and pro-people government. Jharkhand needs the double-engine power of the BJP for further progress.

·      In the past 5 years, under the Hemant Soren government, both Naxalism and corruption have increased in Jharkhand. ₹350 crore was recovered from the house of a Congress MP in Jharkhand and it took machines to count the money, with the process taking a week. Additionally, ₹20 crore was found with the PA of a Jharkhand government minister and ₹30 crore was seized from the home of a government officer.

·      Jharkhand has witnessed an increase in the infiltration of Bangladeshis, which has adversely affected the tribal community, with the land of women being seized. The state's resources, including its land, wealth, and forests, are under attack.
