Salient Points of Hon’ble National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda’s address at BJP State Executive Committee Meeting in Odisha

Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, and with the blessings of the people, the BJP has achieved a record victory in Odisha. Winning 78 seats and securing 40.7% of the vote on its own reflects the trust placed in the BJP and our esteemed Prime Minister by the great people of Odisha

*****************

Even if you add up the number of Lok Sabha MPs of the Congress party from 2014, 2019, and 2024, their total still falls short compared to the number of BJP MPs. The Congress party is at zero in 13 states, yet they are showing enthusiasm as if they have achieved a major victory

*****************

The BJP is the only 'Pan-India party' in the country. From the east to the west, north to south, and in the northeast, the people of India have blessed the BJP everywhere

*****************

The Congress imposed Emergency on the country and murdered democracy and the Constitution, but today the same Congress is pretending to be the guardian of the Constitution

*****************

Opposition parties are engrossed in dynastic politics, but the BJP is the only party that works on the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’

*****************

After 40 years in Odisha, the doors of the Ratna Bhandar have been opened. The process of accurately evaluating the proper evaluation of Prasad of Bhagwan Jagannath Ji is underway

*****************

The Congress party is like a parasitic vine, it does not stand on its own strength but relies on the strength of others

*****************

The people of Odisha have placed their trust in the BJP government to change the fate and picture of the state. Therefore, it is the responsibility of BJP karyakarta to ensure the state's development

*****************

Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is diligently advancing all the development plans for Odisha. At the same time, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Shri K.V. Singh Deo, and Smt. Parvati Parida are together setting new milestones in the state's development

Hon’ble National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a BJP State Executive Committee Meeting in Odisha on Friday. During the event, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, BJP Odisha President Shri Manmohan Samal, Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister Shri Jual Oram, BJP National Vice President and MP Shri Baijayant Panda, BJP National General Secretary Shri Sunil Bansal, Odisha Deputy Chief Ministers Shri K V Singh Deo and Smt Pravati Parida, Odisha BJP Incharge Shri Vijay Pal Singh Tomar and other leaders were present.

Shri Nadda commenced his speech by seeking the blessings of Bhagwan Jagannath Ji. This was the inaugural executive meeting following the electoral triumph in Odisha. Odisha region is renowned for its courage, valour and rich cultural heritage that serves as a guiding beacon. Shri Nadda extended congratulations, gratitude and admiration to every karyakarta of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Odisha who wholeheartedly contributed to the party's victory and ensured BJP's success. Each BJP karyakarta will strive to serve the people of Odisha with the blessings of Bhagwan Jagannath Ji, fostering their development and guiding them along the path of progress.

BJP National President Shri Nadda emphasized that the BJP has achieved a historic milestone in Odisha by winning 78 seats and securing 40.8% of the votes, reflecting the people of Odisha's endorsement. It is not only the general public but also the tribal communities who have wholeheartedly supported BJP. BJP boasts 18 MLAs from tribal communities, committed to their development and integration into the mainstream. Additionally, BJP holds the highest number of MLAs in Odisha from the Scheduled Castes, underscoring their inclusive representation. BJP in Odisha will actively propel the Adivasi community and Scheduled Castes forward, leaving no gaps in bringing them into the mainstream.

Shri Nadda pointed out that after six decades, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has become the first person to hold the position for a third term. When Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru secured his third term as Prime Minister, there was a resurgence of enthusiasm and support for Congress following the independence struggle, leading to their victory with minimal opposition. However, after 60 years, with full strength and determination, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has achieved victory for the third time as Prime Minister. BJP has succeeded in forming a government in Andhra Pradesh, while under the leadership of Shri Pema Khandu, BJP has achieved its third consecutive term in Arunachal Pradesh. Furthermore, the NDA government has been established in Sikkim as well.

Hon’ble National President Shri Nadda stated that BJP is the only party in the entire country, with its presence in the North, South, East, West, Northeast and Central India, making it the only truly ‘Pan-India Party’. In India, there are a total of 1,500 parties, but none exhibit internal democracy like the BJP. Unlike others, BJP avoids family politics and favoritism towards relatives. It is the only party that operates on the mantra of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’. The NDA governs 18 states and the BJP is solely ruling in 13 states in the country. Over 58% of India's area and more than 57% of its population are under BJP administration.

Shri Nadda remarked that the Congress party is celebrating their minimal successes, comparing it to a student rejoicing after barely passing with the minimum required marks. Even if all the parties in the INDI alliance combine their seats, they still cannot match the BJP's numbers. The total number of MPs the Congress won in the 2014, 2019 and 2024 elections combined still does not surpass BJP's 240 seats in 2024. In 13 states, the Congress party did not win a single seat. The Congress party has turned into a parasite party that cannot stand on its own but depends on others. In Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, there was a direct contest between BJP and Congress for 64 seats. Out of those, Congress won only 2 seats while BJP won 62. They have only won in states where they have allied with other parties, like a parasite. Wherever regional parties do not support them, they become zero. When the TMC parted ways with Congress in West Bengal, a significant Congress leader lost his seat in the state. Congress only weakens its allies, no matter who they partner with, and today the Congress party runs on crutches. Shri Nadda remarked that it is our duty to seize the opportunity given by the people of Odisha to improve their fortunes. The leadership is committed to transforming both the state's image and its future.

BJP National President Shri Nadda stated that the INDI alliance now portrays itself as the savior of the Constitution, Dalits, tribals, democracy and OBCs. However, the truth is that they are not defenders but rather destroyers of the Constitution, having undermined it multiple times. During the Emergency in 1975, 125,000 people were jailed overnight. Rahul Gandhi is unaware of this history and his grandmother's wrongdoings. It is our responsibility to inform the public, which is why Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji has designated June 25th as 'Samvidhan Hatya Diwas'. Out of the 125,000 people jailed overnight during the Emergency in 1975, 75,000 were affiliated with the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and the RSS. Lalu Yadav's daughter, Misa Bharati, was named after the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA), the same act under which Lalu Yadav was imprisoned. Lalu Yadav chose the name as a statement following his own imprisonment. Now, Lalu Yadav is allied with Rahul Gandhi, whose grandmother was responsible for the imprisonment of Lalu Yadav under the MISA during the Emergency.

Shri Nadda highlighted that after the Allahabad High Court's decision barred Indira Gandhi from contesting elections for six years, the Constitution was amended, and an emergency was imposed. Indira Gandhi enacted a law preventing criminal proceedings against the Prime Minister and the President even after they were no longer in power. Today, the same party is pretending to be its protector. Congress has toppled democratically elected governments 90 times. During the Emergency, Biju Patnaik, along with prominent leaders such as Morarji Desai, Chandrashekhar, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani suffered and was imprisoned. It is now our responsibility to expose these hollow individuals and their hollow promises.

Hon’ble National President Shri Nadda stated that the BJP stands out as the only ideology-driven party, committed not to promoting any individual or family but to serving the nation. When Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee advocated for the removal of Article 370, he challenged the concept of 'Do Nishan, Do Vidhan, Do Pradhan,' asserting it was unsuitable for the country. Crores of dedicated karyakartas, spanning five generations, awaited the historic day of 5th August, 2019, when Article 370 was abrogated through the determination of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the strategic vision of Shri Amit Shah. Multiple movements were made to integrate Jammu and Kashmir into the mainstream, including the 'Ekta Yatra' led by Shri Murli Manohar Joshi, during which Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi Ji visited and hoisted the flag there.

Shri Nadda stated that when the BJP outlined its commitment to building the Ram Mandir in the 1987-88 Palampur resolution, the Congress party had insulted them. However, on January 22, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji performed the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol of Shri Ram Lalla. When questions were raised about the economic model during the dominance of the Communists, the BJP highlighted Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay's mantra of ‘Ekatma Manavvaad’. In 1977, with the Janata Party's formation of the government at the center and in states like Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, we began implementing this mantra through ‘Antyodaya’. Continuing this legacy, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji introduced the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas’.

BJP National President Shri Nadda highlighted that the BJP is the only cadre-based party with 18 crore members, compared to the Communist Party of China, which has 9 crore members. Today, over 60 ambassadors visited the BJP headquarters to understand the party better, reflecting the global interest in its workings. The party also has 6 lakh 80 thousand Booth Chairpersons and committees in over 10 lakh 40 thousand booths. In Odisha also, the party has reached 32,000 booths, contributing to its government formation within 2 months in the state. The BJP is the only mass-following party with the highest number of MPs in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, over 1,500 MLAs, the most MLCs, mayors, Zila Parishad members, and chairpersons of both Zila Parishad and Block Development Committees.

Shri Nadda stated that before 2014, India was known for corruption, policy paralysis, remote control governance, dynastic politics and a faltering economy. However, since 2014, under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's leadership, the focus has shifted to the mantra of ‘Perform, Reform and Transform,’ with an emphasis on ‘speed, scale and skill’ due to the extensive work required and limited time. On every parameter, the world is looking up to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's leadership. At the G-7 summit, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji demonstrated leadership in Paris. In Russia, he held an unprecedented six-hour discussion with President Putin, showcasing his unique one-on-one rapport and diplomatic skills.

BJP National President Shri Nadda underscored that Congress leaders often lack clarity when discussing issues such as unemployment and inflation. Morgan Stanley has acknowledged India's transformation after 2014. Moody's report forecasted India's growth rate to surpass 6% in the near future. In contrast, the growth rates are 2.7% for the USA, 0.2% for Germany, 0.7% for France, 0.9% for Japan and 0.5% for the UK. Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India has achieved a growth rate of 6.8%. Through PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 80 crore people receive 5 kg of grain free of cost. According to the IMF, 25 crore Indians have moved above the poverty line, with extreme poverty now below 1% in the country. A decade ago, all mobile phones used in India were manufactured in Korea, Japan, China, and Taiwan. Today, every mobile phone is produced in India. India has now risen to the second position globally in steel manufacturing. Despite claims by Congress leaders about unemployment, they fail to grasp that as the economy expands, employment opportunities naturally increase. Infrastructure projects such as railways, bridges, airports and highways generate numerous job opportunities.

Shri Nadda underscored that Congress fails to recognize the nation's progress and instead opposes the Hon’ble Prime Minister. However, the people of India and Odisha reject this opposition and remain committed to advancing under the leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister and the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji prioritizes Odisha equally alongside other states and has consistently served its people. Odisha has received ₹3.2 lakh crore for tax devolution and a grant of ₹1.7 lakh crore for overall development. Significant initiatives include establishing IIM Sambalpur, investing ₹2000 crores to develop Bhubaneswar and Rourkela into smart cities, constructing 4300 km of national highways in Odisha out of 80 thousand km nationwide, and ongoing development of a green field corridor. Moreover, the government plans to allocate approximately ₹50 thousand crore for the Prasad Seva of Jagannath ji.

BJP National President Shri Nadda highlighted that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has empowered the villages, the poor, marginalized communities, farmers and women. After 40 years, the doors of Ratna Bhandar in Odisha have been reopened and efforts are underway to ensure proper evaluation of Prasad of Bhagwan Jagannath Ji. Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, 3 crore 20 lakh people are receiving food support, farmers are benefiting from the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, over 30 lakh houses have been constructed in Odisha under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and women across the state are benefiting from the Ujjwala Yojana.

Hon’ble Shri Nadda pointed out that the Modi government has initiated the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna, through which the electricity bill of the people will become zero. Under this scheme, solar panels will be installed on the roof, and electricity will be used as per the requirement, with excess electricity being bought by the government and money will be provided for it. The government will also provide ₹75,000 for the installation of solar panels and registration for this scheme can be done online. Under the leadership of Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, every individual in this country aged 70 and above will receive ₹5 lakh annually for the treatment of serious illnesses under Ayushman Bharat Yojana. This represents the evolving face of India. The Hon'ble Prime Minister is diligently advancing every scheme, while in Odisha, CM Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers Shri KV Singh Deo and Smt Pravati Parida are collectively driving forward the state's development initiatives.
