Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed public meetings in Gurdaspur and jalandhar, Punjab on Friday. Shri Modi highlighted the anti-Sikh stance of the Congress and exposed the dual character of the Congress-Aam Aadmi Party alliance. During the event, Gurdaspur Lok Sabha candidate Shri Dinesh Singh Babbu, Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha candidate Smt Anita, Amritsar Lok Sabha candidate Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu among other leaders were present.
Respected PM Shri Modi ji expressed his reverence for the sacred land of Gurudaspur, which is adorned with holy places like Dera Baba Nanak, where the blessings of the Gurus are revered. He noted the special relationship between Gurudaspur and the BJP, mentioning Shri Vinod Khanna, who served as a Member of Parliament from there four times and with whom he worked closely for a considerable period. Shri Khanna held a deep connection to the region's development and his continued recognition among bureaucratic circles for his contributions during Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji's cabinet. The people of Gurudaspur still hold Shri Khanna's work in high regard.
Hon’ble Shri Modi ji emphasized his commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the people during his third term, expressing need for their blessings. The 2024 election is a crucial decision for the country's leadership. On one side stands the BJP and NDA, offering a clear vision for a developed India, prioritizing the nation's interests, backed by a ten-year track record and a staunch stance against corruption. On the other side is the INDI Alliance, marked by deep-seated sectarian, caste-based and familial affiliations.
Respected Shri Modi ji conveyed that members of the INDI alliance are consistently engaged in tactics aimed at misleading and manipulating the public. They portray themselves as friends in Delhi while shielding corrupt individuals. Simultaneously, in Punjab, they are engaged in mutual accusations, despite the public realizing that the shutter of their ‘dukaan’ is the same. To defeat the INDI alliance, the people must support the ‘Lotus’ symbol button to realize their dreams. Presently, 90 out of 100 individuals express certainty in the formation of Modi's government at the center. With such clarity, there is no inclination to waste one's vote, fostering an environment devoid of uncertainty. This time, not a single citizen of the country desires to waste their vote.
Hon’ble Shri Modi emphasized that nobody understands the true nature of the INDI alliance better than the people of Punjab. This alliance has inflicted significant harm upon Punjab, from post-independence wounds to religious unrest, prolonged periods of turmoil and attacks on Punjab's unity. Congress has a history of involvement in Punjab, fueling separatism in the state and later orchestrating the Sikh massacre in Delhi. As long as Congress remained in power at the center, it shielded rioters. It was Modi who pushed for the reopening of files related to the Sikh riots and ensured that the perpetrators faced punishment. Even today, Congress and the ‘jhadu’ party remain troubled, evident in their continued criticism directed towards him.
Respected Shri Modi ji declared that when it comes to the nation's interests, the Congress party will always lag behind. In Punjab, the Congress sought to govern through remote control, but Captain Amarinder Singh refused to comply with the orders of the ‘Shahi Pariwar’ and Congress ‘Shehzade’ and placed national security as his top priority. Consequently, the Congress high command removed him from the position of Chief Minister. This humiliation of Punjab is something that can never be forgotten.
Hon’ble Shri Modi ji stated that unfortunately, even today there are attempts to control Punjab remotely, with ‘Delhi Darbaris’ running the show in Punjab. The Chief Minister of Punjab cannot make decisions on his own. When the master went to jail, the Punjab government started to falter. For the Chief Minister of Punjab to govern, to receive new orders, he will have to go to Tihar and take commands from their masters. After 1st June, the ‘Kattar Bhrashtacharo’ will go back to jail. Will the Punjab government then function from jail? The public does not accept such a government. This is a disrespect to the land of the Gurus and jeopardizes Punjab's future. Today, to get Punjab out of this situation and for the bright future of the state, the public will send more BJP MPs. The public will vote and do their part, while Modi will work for their aspirations for five years. “Janata Ke Sapna Hi Modi Ke Sankalp Honge”. “Modi Ka Pal Pal Janata Ke Liye, Modi Ka Pal Pal Desh Ke Liye”. 24*7 for 2047 is a promise to the public.

Their agenda includes reinstating Article 370 in Kashmir, fostering terrorism in the region, yielding Kashmir to separatists, and extending friendship messages to Pakistan, potentially leading to renewed attacks on the country. Despite facing attacks, the Congress will only engage in verbal confrontations. Congress leaders are warning about Pakistan's possession of atomic weapons and urging the nation to fear them. However, they seem to overlook the fact that this is the New India, which responds to attacks by entering the enemy's territory.

After 500 years, the Ram Mandir was constructed in Ayodhya and the entire country celebrated it, but the Congress boycotted the ‘Pran Pratishtrha’ ceremony. The first person to fight for the Ram Mandir was a Sikh from our country, and his descendants were present during the 'Pran Pratisdhta' ceremony. INDI alliance leaders consider the Ram Mandir to be impure. Such people will also attack Punjab's identity, but the people of Punjab had to answer this by supporting the Lotus symbol in this election.

Drugs are ruining the future of our youth, and criminals are receiving protection from the state government. Today, development in Punjab is stalled, farmers are distressed, and the INDI alliance is running away from their responsibilities. But Punjab's development is a priority for Modi. The BJP government is constructing the Delhi-Katra highway, and infrastructure projects like the Amritsar-Pathankot highway, and developing railway facilities. The BJP is striving to create new opportunities in Punjab and benefit the farmers. Over the past 10 years, the BJP government has made record purchases of rice and wheat throughout Punjab. The MSP has also been increased by 2.5 times. Additionally, under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, more than ₹30,000 have been deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers for seeds, fertilizers, and other necessities. Today, a major campaign is also underway for ‘Shri Anna.’ Modi's goal is for India's Shri Anna to reach every corner of the world, which will greatly benefit farmers. Efforts are also being made to provide benefits to litchi-producing farmers through the food processing industry.

The BJP government initiated the celebration of Veer Bal Divas on December 26 and Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on August 14 in memory of the Sahibzadas. And celebrated the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. The BJP government enacted the Citizenship Amendment Act to grant citizenship to Hindus who faced persecution in other countries during partition. However, the Congress is discussing even revoking it and doesn't want to grant citizenship to persecuted Hindu refugees from partition.
Respected Shri Modi ji said that the Aam Aadmi Party had made a false promise to shut down the drug trade in Punjab, but today, drug dealers have been granted licenses to operate in Punjab. AAP is a photocopy party of Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party has also learned the lesson of emergency from Congress. Media houses not listening to the Aam Aadmi Party are being targeted by the Punjab government. But the BJP government is with the freedom of the press. Due to the INDI alliance, industries in Jalandhar and across Punjab are in danger, but the BJP is committed to promoting industry. The BJP government has built the Adampur airport and provided the Vande Bharat train to Jalandhar.
