Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Ludhiana, Punjab on Sunday. He condemned the infighting between Congress and AAP, highlighting that only the BJP can effectively work for the development of the state. During the event, Punjab BJP President Shri Sunil Jakhar, BJP National Secretary Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, former state BJP President Shri Vijay Sampla, and Ludhiana Lok Sabha candidate Shri Ravneet Singh Bittu among other leaders were present.

Union Home Minister began his speech by paying tribute to Maharana Ranjit Singh, Bhagat Singh, and Lala Lajpat Rai. He emphasized Punjab's dual role in ensuring national security on the border and feeding the entire nation. He acknowledged the sacrifices of Punjab soldiers who risk their lives to protect the country. Shri Shah highlighted Guru Teg Bahadur's sacrifice for the Kashmiri Hindus and urged those who create divisions between Sikhs and Hindus to learn about Guru Teg Bahadur's life.

Shri Shah predicted that after the conclusion of the five phases of the election, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji would secure more than 310 seats and form the government for a third consecutive time. He expressed confidence that the sixth and seventh phases would ensure 400 seats for Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji by June 4th. He urged the voters of Punjab to support BJP candidates to foster a developing state under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

Union Home Minister stated that on June 4th, election results would be announced, but before that, on June 1st, Arvind Kejriwal would return to jail, and after the results, on June 6th, Rahul Gandhi would embark on a vacation to Bangkok. He contrasted the dedicated work ethic of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who did not take a single leave in his 23 years of service as Chief Minister and Prime Minister. Shri Shah highlighted Prime Minister Modi's commitment by noting his celebration of Diwali with soldiers on the border, juxtaposed with Rahul Gandhi's summer vacation.

Shri Shah questioned the AAP and Congress, who were allies at the Centre but became enemies in Punjab, asking why there was infighting in Punjab when they were together in Delhi, Haryana, and Gujarat. He accused the Ghamandia alliance of being involved in corruption worth Rs 12 lakh crore but emphasized that no corruption charges had been alleged against Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. The INDI Alliance leaders, who speak about Hindu-Sikh unity, learn from Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's efforts in developing the Kartarpur Sahib corridor while also facilitating the construction of the Ram Mandir. He speculated that if the Bharatiya Janata Party had been in power during independence, the Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara would have been part of India rather than Pakistan. Additionally, he criticized the Congress government in 1971 for not reclaiming Kartarpur Sahib despite having almost 1 lakh Pakistani soldiers under India’s control after the war.

Union Home Minister emphasized that after 500 years, Prabhu Shri Ram finally reached his grand Mandir, a feat that Congress had obstructed for 70 years. He highlighted that when the public elected Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for a second term, not only did he win the case for the Ram Mandir, but he also performed the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony and completed the "Pran Pratishtha" on January 22nd. Shri Shah mentioned that Aurangzeb had destroyed Kartarpur Sahib, Ram Mandir, and Kashi Vishwanath Mandir, but Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji worked for their reconstruction. He also cited the reconstruction of the Somnath Mandir with gold as an example of the Prime Minister’s dedication to restoring India's cultural heritage. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has been steadfast in his efforts to combat terrorism in the country. He has also reiterated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) rightfully belongs to India. Despite attempts by Congress and AAP to intimidate us with Pakistan's atomic bomb, it is BJP's unwavering resolve to fully integrate PoK with India, affirming that it was, is, and will always remain an integral part of India.

Shri Shah highlighted the BJP's implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to grant citizenship to refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, noting opposition from Congress and AAP. He emphasized that the demand for One Rank One Pension (OROP) had been raised during Indira Gandhi's time, but Congress had not acted upon it. However, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji implemented OROP, ensuring ₹1 Lakh 20 thousand crore was transferred into the bank accounts of Indian soldiers. The Congress has inflicted numerous wounds upon Punjab, spanning from Partition to allowing extremism to flourish, and even attempting the Sikh genocide in New Delhi. Moreover, both Congress and AAP are accused of exacerbating Punjab's drug addiction crisis, thereby contributing to the state's ongoing challenges.

Union Home Minister stated that it is very painful for him to see Punjab's youth in a state of drug addiction. The BJP has built infrastructure to address this issue. In the next 5 years, under Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's leadership, the BJP will eradicate the drug problem in Punjab from its roots. In the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's third term, 17 NCB offices will be opened in Punjab. The BJP won't let Punjab drown in the ocean of drugs. BJP won't let Punjab burn in the fire of terrorism again. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji abolished Article 370 and ended terrorism in Kashmir. The entire Punjab has become a hub of corruption. Arvind Kejriwal has turned Punjab into an ATM of corruption, he takes money from Punjab for elections and legal battles. Punjab's CM allies with Arvind Kejriwal everywhere, acting as his pilot. The people of Punjab are tired of the corruption plaguing the state.

Shri Shah stated that the Modi government has respected the Sikh community and their guru tradition. The BJP government initiated the celebration of 'Veer Bal Diwas' in honor of the Sahibzadas on December 26. BJP government facilitated the construction of the Kartarpur Corridor at a cost of 120 crores. The government also commemorated the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib and the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, issued postal stamps, and designated Sultanpur Lodhi and Amritsar as heritage cities. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji granted FCRA status to Sri Darbar Sahib, exempted langar and prasad from GST, provided compensation of ₹5 lakh to victims of Sikh riots, and ensured punishment for the culprits.

Union Home Minister stated that the AAP government is a government of broken promises. They promised to provide ₹1000 to every woman, but nobody received it. They claimed to make Punjab drug-free within a month but failed. They promised to open 16 medical colleges in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, but not even one was opened. Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann is incapable of bringing reforms to Punjab. The Aam Aadmi Party has tarnished Punjab's honor. In just two years, they burdened Punjab with a debt of over 50,000 crores. Earlier, Akalis did it, then Congress did it, and now Bhagwant Mann is also doing the same. The Ayushman Bharat scheme initiated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is not being implemented in Punjab. Punjab government is 'Jhola Chhap Sarkar', CM Bhagwant Mann, instead of effectively distributing the free 5kg ration provided by the central government, is misleading the poor by distributing it with sacks bearing Arvind Kejriwal's photo.

Shri Shah stated that in states where the BJP-led double-engine government is in power, development has thrived even in the face of challenging situations. In Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and everywhere else with BJP's double-engine government, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has brought development. For the development of Punjab, to end separatism, to eradicate drugs, to bring back industries to Punjab, and to strengthen Hindu-Sikh unity in Punjab, people are urged to support Shri Ravneet Singh Bittu by voting for the 'Lotus' symbol, aiming to secure '400 Paar' to re-elect Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for a third term.
