Hon’ble Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Kaushambi, Raebareli and Gonda Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday. He criticized the appeasement politics of the Samajwadi Party, Congress and BSP, while also highlighting the development projects undertaken in the state and the country over the past 10 years. During the event, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Shri Anil Rajbhar, BJP Lok Sabha candidates, Shri Vinod Sonkar from Kaushambi, Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh from Raebareli and Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh from Gonda among other leaders were present.
Shri Shah initiated his speech by seeking the blessings of Prabhu Shri Ram, Maa Nagrdevi, Sheetla Dham and Bhagwan Gautam Buddha. Additionally, he paid tribute to the freedom fighter Durgabhabhi. This election is about elevating the country to become the third-largest economy globally, retaliating to terrorist attacks with force, and empowering three lakh women through the "Lakhpati Didi Yojana". This election is between those who built the Ram Mandir and those who fired bullets at Ram devotees. Gonda voters have to decide whom they have to choose.
Union Home Minister stated that through the overwhelming support of the public, it's clear that the people of Kaushambi have already decided to support Shri Vinod Sonkar and strengthen PM Shri Narendra Modi. There's a nationwide chant for ‘400 Paar’. Achieving this milestone can only occur when Shri Narendra Modi secures 400 seats across the country, which is imminent. With the blossoming of the ‘lotus’ in Raebareli, achieving ‘400 Paar’ will naturally come to fruition.
Shri Shah mentioned that this time, the people of Kaushambi must aim for three hat tricks: the first, to elect Shri Narendra Modi as Prime Minister once again, the second, to defeat the SP, BSP and Congress in Uttar Pradesh for the third consecutive time and the third, to ensure Shri Vinod Sonkar's re-election as a Member of Parliament for the third time. He stated that three phases have concluded and in these three phases, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is on the verge for ‘200 Paar’. In the fourth phase, he must be propelled towards ‘250 Paar’.
Union Home Minister pointed out that Priyanka Gandhi mentioned she came to Raebareli to seek votes from her family and it is true that the Gandhi-Nehru family has been winning elections in Raebareli for years. However, within the democratic framework, after being elected from here for 5 years, how many times has Sonia Gandhi and her family visited Raebareli?
Shri Shah highlighted that there have been numerous accidents in Raebareli, including the NTPC power plant explosion resulting in many deaths. A train accident in Bachhrawan claimed 50 lives, a boat sinking caused over half a dozen deaths, five poor women were killed from fallen wires and five girls lost their lives by drowning, yet not a single member of the Gandhi family attended any of these incidents. And in these five incidents, there wasn't a single one where Shri Dinesh Pratap Singh did not visit their homes. A parliamentarian is needed who rejoices in the people's happiness, shares their sorrows.
Union Home Minister mentioned that the Congress’ ‘Shehzade’ has come to Raebareli to ask for votes and they have been receiving votes from Raebareli for many years. However, the people haven't received any parliamentary assistance during all these years. Congress has primarily directed its expenses towards its vote bank. Sonia Gandhi has allocated over 70% of the parliamentary funds to minorities. While Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has spearheaded development throughout Uttar Pradesh, the Gandhi family has made a barrier in Raebareli, hindering development from entering the region. Once this barrier is removed, the BJP will make efforts to make Raebareli’s Janpath, the number one Janpath in Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Shah mentioned that Mallikarjun Kharge questions the connection between Rajasthan, UP and Kashmir, unaware that every individual in Kaushambi and Raebareli stands ready to sacrifice their lives for Kashmir. Until recently, Congress, SP and BSP treated Article 370 as their illegitimate son, in Kashmir. People re-elected Shri Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the second time and on August 5, 2019, he abolished Article 370. During discussions about removing Article 370, Rahul Gandhi used to warn against it, saying it would lead to rivers of blood in Kashmir. However, it's been five years now and no one has even dared to lift a stone. Shri Narendra Modi has undertaken the crucial task of eliminating terrorism from Kashmir and integrating it seamlessly into India forever.
Union Home Minister stated that the ‘Do Shehzade’, Akhilesh and Rahul, proclaim they will reinstate Article 370 if they come to power. However, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has focused on eliminating terrorism and naxalism to secure the nation. Shri Shah emphasized that from 2004 to 2014, the Congress government led by Sonia-Manmohan, with the support of parties like SP and BSP, governed the country. During this period, bomb blasts were frequent and infiltrators from Pakistan would enter and carry out attacks without repercussions. However, when Shri Narendra Modi assumed office, Pakistan, out of habit, conducted attacks in URI and Pulwama, forgetting that this time, the Prime Minister was Shri Narendra Modi and not Manmohan Singh and the government was led by the BJP. In just 10 days, Shri Narendra Modi responded with surgical strikes and airstrikes, entering Pakistan's territory to combat terrorism.
Shri Shah highlighted that for 70 years, Congress, SP and BSP stalled progress of the Ram Mandir. However, within just 5 years of PM Shri Narendra Modi’s tenure, the case came in favor of the Ram Mandir. The Bhoomipujan took place and on January 22nd, Shri Narendra Modi performed the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla. SP-BSP supporters claim that building the Ram Mandir is pointless. The people of Gonda must remember that both Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav have prepared the lock of Babri for the Ram Mandir.
Union Home Minister emphasized that invitations of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha were extended to Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and Dimple Yadav, but due to fear of losing their vote banks, none of them attended the event. BJP doesn't just fear their vote banks, Shri Narendra Modi has also embarked on rebuilding Baba Vishwanath Mandir which was demolished by Aurangzeb. The Somnath Mandir is also being rebuilt in gold. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has dedicated efforts to revitalize all pilgrimage sites.
Shri Shah stated that under the Gram Sadak Yojana, 600 kilometers of roads have been constructed in Gonda. A bridge has been built over the Sarayu River in Colonelganj. A proposal of ₹517 crores has been made for the development of railways in Gonda. The Vande Bharat Express train has been operated from Gonda to Delhi. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, houses have been provided to 80 thousand people. Under the Ujjwala Yojana, gas cylinders have been distributed to 3 lakh 36 thousand poor mothers. 'Nal se Jal' has been provided to 5 lakh households. Additionally, 4 lakh 77 thousand farmers have received benefits under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. 20 sugar mills that were shut down have been restarted in Gonda, and 5 new sugar mills have been established. Additionally, efforts have been made to increase the capacity of 38 mills. The BJP government has also worked on expanding the sugarcane cultivation area by 9 lakh hectares. From 1995 to 2017, sugarcane farmers in Uttar Pradesh received payments totaling ₹23,000 crore. However, since the BJP government came to power in 2017, sugarcane farmers have been paid a total of ₹2,50,000 crore.
Shri Shah posed 5 questions to Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi should address the people of Rae Bareli: Why does he advocate for the reinstatement of triple talaq? Why does he abstain from visiting the Ram Mandir? Should there be separate personal laws for Muslims in the nation? Does Rahul Gandhi support surgical strikes or not? Does he support the abolition of Article 370?
Union Home Minister stated that there's little chance for the INDI alliance to win against Shri Narendra Modi. The INDI alliance even lacks a Prime Ministerial candidate. Responding to a journalist's question, a leader from the INDI alliance remarked that they would take turns annually. This is not how a country operates. The alliance that plans to rotate the Prime Ministership every year was asked, "Who will save India if there's a pandemic like COVID-19? The crowd echoed "Modi," attributing the successful vaccination of 130 crore people and the nation's resilience against the pandemic to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership. When vaccination began, Shri Narendra Modi received the vaccine himself, setting an example. However, Akhilesh Yadav initially discouraged people by labeling it "Modi's vaccine." Despite this, the people of Uttar Pradesh disregarded Akhilesh Yadav's advice and embraced vaccination. Later, Akhilesh Yadav, witnessing the public's trust in vaccination, secretly followed suit. Akhilesh Yadav's politicization of the pandemic is shameful, especially considering his subsequent actions.
Shri Shah highlighted that during the Samajwadi Party's rule, the land of the poor was often seized by SP's goons, leading to a reign of thugs and mafia in Uttar Pradesh, causing distress among the people. When the BJP came to power in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath took decisive action against the criminals, turning the tables on them. Under the BJP's governance, the era of mafia dominance came to an end, land for the poor was provided at no cost and Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision for development flourished across the state. Shri Shri Shah criticized Members of the Congress Party, including Mani Shankar Aiyar and Farooq Abdullah, for advocating for the respect of Pakistan. They implied Pakistan's possession of nuclear weapons and discouraged efforts to reclaim Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. While Rahul Gandhi may harbor concerns about nuclear weapons, the BJP does not share the same apprehension. The BJP is committed to the belief that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir rightfully belongs to India and pledges to reclaim it.
Union Home Minister pointed out the Gandhi family's proficiency in falsehoods. They made promises like providing ₹15,000 to women in Telangana elections and ₹500 per month in Chhattisgarh, yet failed to deliver. Congress leaders are misleading the public by accusing the BJP government of ending reservations. However, it is Modi ki Guarantee that as long as there is even one BJP member in Parliament, reservations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, or the backward classes cannot be abolished in the country. The Congress government revoked 4% reservation for the backward class in Telangana and Karnataka, reallocating it to the special class.
Shri Shah stated that the Congress party practiced appeasement politics, having engaged in numerous activities. The Congress party disrespected Baba Saheb Ambedkar, attempting to defeat him in elections and withholding the Bharat Ratna honor from him. In contrast, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi declared 14th April as National Unity Day. Additionally, his government has worked on developing and transforming places like Mau, London, Nagpur, Delhi and Mumbai, all associated with Baba Saheb Ambedkar, into pilgrimage sites.
Union Home Minister highlighted that despite Shri Vinod Sonkar's seemingly straightforward demeanor, his dedication to Kaushambi's development is unmatched. He has been known to even confront high-ranking officials if necessary. Shri Sonkar spearheaded the initiative to connect Pratapgarh and Kaushambi districts with the Ganga river bridge, investing ₹300 crores in the project. Additionally, he played a key role in establishing a medical college in Kaushambi and overseeing the construction of a new hospital with a 50-bed capacity. Under his leadership, 47 thousand impoverished individuals were provided homes, 2 lakh women received gas cylinders through the Ujjwala scheme and ‘Nal se Jal’ access was facilitated for 2 lakh 45 thousand households. Moreover, he initiated the construction of 4 lakh toilets in the homes of the poor, distributed ₹6 thousand annually to 2 lakh farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, and facilitated loans under the Mudra scheme for 16 thousand entrepreneurs. In Kaushambi, banana cultivation is prevalent, and it has been included in the One District One Product initiative.
Shri Shah highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed remarkable development initiatives. These include the construction of projects like the Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway and 14 other expressways. The expansion of the National Highways from 7000 to 12000 kilometers has been achieved. Nine airports have been constructed, with 12 more in progress. The Jewar airport, set to be Asia's largest, is currently under construction. Moreover, five cities now boast operational airports, compared to the previous two. Additionally, 68 medical colleges have been established, a defence corridor has been established and various developmental projects such as plastic parks in Gorakhpur, food parks in Bareilly and the establishment of an IIT in Noida have been initiated.
Union Home Minister emphasized that the Samajwadi Party lacks the capability to foster development in Kaushambi. Only Shri Narendra Modi can propel Uttar Pradesh's progress forward. He urged the people to support the BJP candidates and the 'Lotus' button, assuring ‘400 Paar’ and re-electing Shri Narendra Modi as Prime Minister.
