Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Ganjam, Odisha on Wednesday. Highlighting the development initiatives undertaken under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, he criticized the mismanagement of the Congress and Navin Patnaik-led government, as well as the widespread corruption prevailing in the country for years. During the event, Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra, Shri Mahesh Mohanty, Aska Lok Sabha Candidate Smt Anita Subhdarshi, Surada Candidate Nilamani Bisoi, Sanakhemundi Lok Sabha Candidate Shri Uttam Panigrahi and others were present.

Shri Shah started by paying respects to Prabhu Jagannath, along with honoring Maa Kankana Devi and Maa Taratarini. Praising Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for conferring the honor of the Rashtrapati on the tribal daughter of Utkal Pradesh, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, thereby honoring the entire state of Odisha. In the G-20 summit held in Delhi, world leaders participated, and behind Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's welcoming stance was a picture of the Konark Temple, symbolizing his efforts to promote Odisha globally. As a symbol of Odia valor, the Paika Rebellion, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji issued a coin and postage stamp to commemorate it. Over the past ten years, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has worked to earn the nation's respect, with a track record of achievements and a roadmap for the nation's progress in the next twenty-five years.

Shri Shah emphasized that for 70 years, the Congress party had obstructed the Ram Mandir issue, but under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, not only was the case won in five years, but also the foundation stone was laid on January 22nd, marking the "Pran Pratishtha" with chants of "Jai Shree Ram".  While the entire nation celebrated the Ram Mandir, the government of Naveen Patnaik in Odisha prevented the people from attending the festivities. Various attempts were made by Congress to stop the people of Utkal from participating in the Ram Mandir celebrations. Those who obstruct the Ram Utsav would never be forgiven by the people of Odisha.

Shri Shah highlighted that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has ensured the safety of the nation. India was plagued by Naxalism, and within ten years, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji eradicated Naxalism and terrorism to make the country secure. Ten years ago, during the Congress government led by Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh, there were daily bomb blasts and infiltrators from Pakistan causing havoc. However, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji responded to Pakistan's aggression with surgical strikes and air strikes, eliminating terrorists within Pakistan's territory in Pulwama and Uri.

Shri Shah mentioned that Odisha was afflicted by Naxalism, and Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji worked to eliminate it in states like Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. In many impoverished areas of Odisha, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji sends 5 kg of rice to every individual every month, benefiting 80 crore people across the country, including Odisha. However, Navin Patnaik's government puts his photo on the rice sacks and claims credit for it, unaware that merely distributing rice from paper bags does not alleviate hunger, and if anything is to be given, it should be quality rice. The central government led by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is focused on providing essentials like rice, whereas Navin Patnaik's government is only interested in symbolic gestures. The people of Odisha have bid farewell to Navin Patnaik, signaling the end of his tenure, and now the Bharatiya Janata Party's Chief Minister is set to take over.

Shri Shah highlighted that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's government has worked towards building toilets in 12 crore homes, providing dignity to mothers and sisters, providing homes to 4 crore impoverished families, giving 10 crore families connections to Ujjwala, supplying "Na Se Jal" to 14 crore impoverished families, and offering Ayushman Bharat to 50 crore impoverished families. However, these benefits have not reached Odisha. The people of Odisha should receive free medical treatment up to 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat, which Navin Patnaik fears would diminish his popularity. But now, with Navin Patnaik's exit and the arrival of the lotus, from June 1st, all the poor and people above 70 years of age in Odisha will be exempted from medical expenses up to 5 lakh.

Shri Shah stated that Navin Patnaik’s government has set Odisha back by 50 years in 25 years. Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have no villages without roads, but Odisha still has 6,412 villages without roads. The people should choose the lotus, and within two years, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will ensure the construction of roads in every village. The income of Odisha's farmers is lower nationwide because their rice sells at lower prices. Under the leadership of the BJP government in Chhattisgarh, the government purchases rice at 3,100 per quintal. The government will work to ensure that every grain of rice from Odisha's farmers is purchased at 3,100 per quintal.

Shri Shah highlighted that in 2019, only 3.5% of families had access to clean water. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has made progress in this regard, but still, 23% of the population remains without access. If the public elects the BJP government, after June 1st, the BJP government will undertake the task of providing "Na Se Jal." Navin Patnaik's government is involved in converting Prabhu Jagannath's temple into a tourist site. Under the guise of the Parikrama project, math temples are being demolished, and all four doors of the main temple remain closed, causing distress to devotees. Upon winning and taking the oath as Chief Minister, the BJP will be the first to open all four doors of the main Mandir of Prabhu Jagannath.

Shri Shah stated that the Jagannath Mandir is being disrespected, and there is controversy over the keys to the Ratna Bhandar. The treasures of Prabhu Jagannath should remain safe, and if Navin Patnaik is even slightly aware, he should disclose the whereabouts of the original keys to the Ratna Bhandar, who made the duplicate keys, and what happened to the investigation report on the opening of the Ratna Bhandar with duplicate keys. Whom does his government seek to protect? The Ratna Bhandar of Prabhu Jagannath is not only the center of Odisha but also the devotees of the entire country, and its transparency should be evident. If the BJP government comes to power, the investigation report on Prabhu Jagannath's Ratna Bhandar will be disclosed within six days.

Shri Shah stated that during Naveen Patnaik's government, the great Odia language, culture, and literature, for which many people struggled. The bureaucracy has worked to undermine the rich Odia language, culture, and literature. From Aska, lakhs of youths travel across the country in search of employment; they should receive cheap and free food grains there. Shri Narendra Modi Ji has introduced the "One Nation One Ration Card" system, through which everyone can get food grains anywhere in the country. But Naveen Patnaik does not implement the "One Nation One Ration Card" system. As soon as the results come on June 1, the BJP government will implement the "One Nation One Ration Card" system. Today, there is a problem of water, electricity, and roads in every village, and there is migration due to unemployment in Odisha.

Shri Shah stated that if the people of Odisha give the BJP a chance for 5 years, no youth of Odisha will have to go far from the state for employment. Due to the lack of water in Odisha, sugarcane cultivation is not happening, and sugar mills have shut down. Although Odisha has water reserves, there is no irrigation system in place. The BJP government will establish irrigation facilities, set up ethanol factories, and ensure cooperative sugarcane milling to make sugarcane farming prosperous for farmers. Ganjam is Naveen Patnaik's area, and he has been the Chief Minister for 25 years, but not a single factory has been established here, there is no drinking water supply, no irrigation system, and no cold storage facilities. If the people of Ganjam make the BJP victorious in Lok Sabha and their 6 assembly constituencies, the BJP will work to make Ganjam district the number one district in the country.

Union Home Minister stated that under the leadership of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the Central Government has undertaken the task of sending several thousand crore rupees. In the last 10 years, Congress had sent ₹1,41,000 crore to Odisha. However, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has sent ₹6,31,000 crore in the last 10 years. In Aska, toilets have been built in 5 lakh 47 thousand homes, drinking water has been provided in 4 lakh 53 thousand homes, 2 lakh farmers are receiving ₹6,000, and 1.5 lakh farmers are benefiting from the farmer insurance scheme by the Central Government. ₹1,000 crore has been allocated for rural roads. Additionally, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has undertaken the task of doubling the length of the Bhawanipatna-Aska National Highway from 90 crores. Additionally, 3 crore women will be beneficiaries of the Lakhpati Didi Yojana.

Shri Shah stated that Naveen Patnaik takes no steps to return the money of the poor invested in chit funds. Within 18 months of BJP coming to power, strict action will be taken against the culprits; this is Modi Ji's guarantee. The government will purchase paddy from farmers at ₹3,100 per quintal, and farmers' money will be transferred to their accounts within 48 hours. Odisha's women will receive cash vouchers worth ₹50,000 for women empowerment. The BJP government will provide ₹10,000 per year to each household, give monthly assistance of ₹3,000 to weavers, establish a textile park in Aska, recruit Odia youth for 1.5 lakh vacant government posts to increase employment. An industrial corridor will be developed in Rourkela and Sambalpur, and IT parks will be established in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Berhampur, and Balasore. The Bharatiya Janata Party will build 15 lakh new houses for the poor. Ayushman Bharat will provide a benefit of ₹5 lakh within 100 days, and 36,000 new beds will be added to hospitals. The transparent Ratna Bhandar will be presented before all devotees of the Mahaprabhu. In the past 25 years, there has been no development in Odisha. He appealed to the present audience to ensure that Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates emerge victorious with a resounding majority and to form a BJP government in the country and the state under the leadership of the Modi government.
