Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP leader Shri Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Bhadrak, Jajpur and Jagatsinghpur, Odisha on Tuesday. Shri Shah criticized the BJD government for its lack of transparency regarding the Ratna Bhandar, widespread corruption, and failure to effectively implement central schemes in the state. During the event, BJP state President Shri Manmohan Samal, Bhadrak candidate Shri Avimanyu Sethi, Jhajpur Lok Sabha candidate Shri Ravi Narayan Baira, Dhamnagar candidate Shri Suryabanshi Suraj, Basudevpur candidate Shri Banikalyan Mohanty, Jagatsinghpur candidate Anita Shubhadarshini and others were present.
Shri Shah mentioned that six phases of the Lok Sabha elections have concluded, and the results of 5 phases show that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has secured victory in 310 seats and formed his government. In the upcoming sixth and seventh phases, the aim is to surpass the '400 Paar' mark. The public must ensure BJP's victory on 17 Lok Sabha seats and establish BJP's double-engine government in Odisha by winning more than 75 seats there. The results are expected to be announced on June 4, and it's anticipated that Naveen Babu will become the Former Chief Minister. The new Chief Minister of Odisha will hail from the state, speak the local language, and will be a youthful leader who is a devout follower of Bhagwan Jagannath.
Union Home Minister emphasized that after 25 years, Odisha will finally have a Chief Minister who can write and speak Odia. These elections are about upholding Odia's pride, literature, language, and cultural heritage. It's a matter of self-respect for the state. People must support the BJP, which promises a leader who will serve Odisha directly, rather than being controlled by a Babu behind the scenes. The 25 years of BJD government in Odisha have not witnessed significant development. Despite being one of the most prosperous states in the nation, blessed with abundant mineral resources and rivers that provide water year-round, the people of Odisha continue to face poverty. This is largely attributed to the failures of Naveen Babu's leadership. Many youths from Odisha are compelled to migrate across India to work as labourers. However, if the BJP government comes into power in the state, it pledges to establish industries locally, providing employment opportunities. The aim is to prevent the youth from having to migrate outside the state in search of work. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji sent money for the District Mineral Fund, but the officials in Odisha suppressed everything. BJP will ensure that the District Mineral Fund benefits the indigenous people of the same area where the mines are located.
Shri Shah highlighted that after a wait of 500 years, Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji facilitated the construction of the Ram Mandir and this momentous occasion was celebrated by people across India and abroad during Ramotsav. However, Naveen Patnaik prevented people from participating in the celebrations. Naveen Babu's party has disrespected Bhagwan Jagannath. All four doors of the Jagannath Mandir are not opening. Naveen Babu will have to answer to the public where are the keys to Bhagwan Jagannath's Ratna Bhandar. It's essential to disclose the existence of duplicate keys and make the findings of the investigative agency's report transparent. Upon the formation of the BJP government, it promises to make the report regarding the Jagannath Mandir's Ratna Bhandar public within one month. PoK is an integral part of India. However, the Congress party advises against pursuing PoK because Pakistan possesses nuclear weapons. But they must understand that the BJP is not afraid of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal. PoK is and will remain an integral part of India, and a BJP government will certainly assert India's claim over it.
Union Home Minister stated that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has provided free ration to more than 80 crore poor people in the country, built around 12 crore toilets, given 4 crore houses to the poor, provided Ujjwala connections to more than 10 crore people, and ensured piped water supply to the homes of 14 crore people. Naveen Babu must understand that the poor's stomachs are not filled with a bag but with grains. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji builds houses, while Naveen Babu's government promotes it under the name of the Biju Awas Yojana. The BJD government never allowed the Ayushman Bharat scheme initiated by the central government to be implemented in Odisha. The Modi government has approved several water projects in Odisha, but due to lack of commission, Tamil Babu has also stopped this work. There has been corruption in the Black Storm, Reservoir, Irrigation, and Nal se Jal scheme in Odisha as well. After the BJP government comes to power in the state, all those involved in corruption will be behind bars.
Shri Shah stated that before 2019, only 3.5% of households in Odisha had access to drinking water. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji pledged to provide water to every household, yet even now, 26 lakh families are deprived of this basic necessity. The people demand that the BJP government if elected, will ensure water for all within a year. In our manifesto, we have announced that, within 18 months, the money from the Chit Fund scam will be returned to you by the BJP. The BJP government will purchase rice from all farmers at the rate of ₹3100 per quintal, cash vouchers of ₹50,000 will be given to women, each fisherman will receive an annual allowance of ₹10,000, Bunkar Samman Nidhi worth ₹3,000, and youths will be provided with 1.5 lakh government jobs within one year. Industrial corridors will be developed in Rourkela, Sambalpur, Paradip, and Dhamra, creating employment opportunities for over three lakh people. State-of-the-art IT parks will be established in Bhubaneswar-Rourkela-Brahmapur and Balasore. Fifteen lakh poor families will be provided with homes, and 26 lakh households will have access to tap water.
Union Home Minister emphasized that infiltrators reach Odisha with ease, as neither Navin Patnaik nor Tamil Babu can stop them. However, if BJP forms the government, not even birds will be able to cross the border illegally. In this Lok Sabha constituency, 1,15,000 houses have been constructed, electricity has been provided to 1,53,000 households, 6,48,000 toilets have been built, water has been supplied to 6,90,000 homes, 3,48,000 farmers have benefited from the PM Kisan Samman Yojana, and 7,00,000 people have received 5 kg of grain, all under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has elevated the country's economy from the 11th position to the 5th position in the world. During the third term of the Modi government, India's economy will become the world's third-largest. After the formation of the BJP government in the state, efforts will be made to make Odisha the number one state.
Shri Shah stated that medical colleges have long been demanded in Bhadrak, but the government has failed to deliver. However, with the support of the people, the BJP will establish a medical college in Bhadrak within six months. The status of a university has been denied to autonomous colleges by Navin Patnaik, but the BJP government will grant university status within six months. The Textile Park, which Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji promised three years ago, has already been delivered, showing that the Odisha government is negligent. BJP will expedite the establishment of a Textile Park within a year and also take measures to control floods by diverting flood waters of the Salandi River into irrigation channels.
Union Home Minister said that the BJP government in the state will establish 325 cold storage facilities to aid farmers. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji welcomed leaders from around the world at the G20 summit and personally took the initiative to display a photo of the Konark Sun Temple at the event. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has worked to make the first President from Odisha's family after Independence. In Jagatsinghpur, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji laid a 344-kilometer-long pipeline from Paradip to Haldia, built houses for 1,35,000 poor people, provided electricity to 2,28,000 poor people, and constructed toilets in 8,21,000 homes.
Shri Shah stated that the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has allocated ₹7 lakh crore for the development of Odisha, but Navin Patnaik has squandered this money. Shri Amit Shah urged the people to elect a BJP government led by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and every penny will be returned to the people. This is the same Odisha that once fought alongside Emperor Ashoka for its dignity and refused to bow down, yet now Navin Patnaik is appointing a Tamilian minister. The people of Odisha have tolerated Navin Patnaik's misrule, but they should not tolerate Tamil Babu's influence. It is time for an Odia son to become the Chief Minister and to make the lotus bloom.
