Hon’ble Union Home Minister & Minister of Cooperation and Senior BJP Leader Shri Amit Shah addressed the BJP state working committee in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Saturday. Shri Shah commended the karyakartas for their hard work, which led to the BJP winning 9 seats in Jharkhand and re-electing Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for a third consecutive term. He also criticised the Congress and the INDI alliance for their irrelevant arrogance and ego despite their defeat and inability to match the BJP's tally. During the meeting Jharkhand BJP President Shri Babulal Marandi, State Incharge Shri Laxmikant Bajpai, Union Ministers Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Ministers Smt Annapurna Devi, Shri Sanjay Seth, Assam CM Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, Former CM Shri Arjun Munda, LoP in Jharkhand Assembly Shri Amar Kumar Bauri Lok Sabha MP Shri Nishikant Dubey, Shri Deepak Prakash, Shri Sameer Oraon and other party officials were present.

Shri Shah stated that the extended committee meeting was attended by karyakartas from every booth in Jharkhand, highlighting their hard work which led to the BJP winning 9 Lok Sabha seats and hoisting the lotus flag in the state. He expressed gratitude to the people of Jharkhand for their continuous support in the 2014, 2019, and 2024 elections. In this election, the BJP not only secured 9 Lok Sabha seats but also led in 52 out of 81 Vidhan Sabha seats, indicating a strong likelihood of forming the government in the upcoming elections. Congress and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren should note that in the upcoming Jharkhand elections, the BJP is set to form a government with a full majority in the state.

Union Home Minister emphasized that in the recent Lok Sabha elections, the BJP received support not only from Jharkhand but also from people across the nation. For the first time in India's 60-year democratic history, a single leader has been re-elected as Prime Minister for a third term. The people of the country have given Shri Narendra Modi Ji the mandate to lead as Prime Minister in 2014, 2019, and now again in 2024. In a democracy, it is common to see individuals develop an ego after a victory. However, for the first time, someone who has lost is displaying arrogance. Despite the formation of a BJP government with a decisive mandate, the Congress party has displayed arrogance. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's demeanour in Parliament reflected his arrogance, which is unusual even for those who secure a two-thirds majority. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the NDA secured a full majority with the BJP alone winning 240 seats. This total surpasses the combined seat count of all parties in the INDI Alliance, yet the opposition appears to have developed an undue sense of arrogance. The combined seat count of the Congress Party in the 2014, 2019, and 2024 Lok Sabha elections is less than the 240 seats the BJP secured in the 2024 election alone. Despite the BJP's third consecutive victory, opposition leaders refuse to accept their defeat and seem to have developed an air of arrogance. This arrogance raises questions about whether it stems from their involvement in scams worth ₹12 lakh crore, dynastic politics, undermining national security, or appeasement and discrimination.

Shri Shah stated that when BJP wins an election, it is largely due to the dedicated efforts of its booth karyakartas. These karyakartas remain vigilant, spreading the party's ideology and government achievements. Under the Modi government, Raghubar Das government, or Arjun Munda government, the BJP has governed in a way that has always allowed its karyakartas to hold their heads high with pride. The government has ensured that its actions uphold the respect and dignity of its karyakartas. Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, the government has implemented several key welfare initiatives, 80 crore people have received 5 kg of free food grains per person per month, 13 crore individuals have been provided with gas connections, 14 crore toilets have been constructed, every household has been electrified, 3 crore houses have been built under the Awas Yojana, and a free health cover of ₹5 lakh has been extended to citizens.

Union Home Minister emphasised that Jharkhand was once plagued by Naxalism, but Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has successfully eliminated Naxalism from Bihar and Jharkhand over a decade, transforming Jharkhand into a Naxal-free state. While the INDI alliance, JMM, and Congress take credit for development efforts, BJP has been in power at the centre for the past decade, preceded by Congress's decade-long rule. During Congress's tenure, only ₹84,000 crores were allocated for Jharkhand's development, whereas Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji allocated ₹3.84 lakh crore.

Shri Shah underscored that the BJP has led Jharkhand's progress by constructing national highways valued at ₹4,000 crore, with an additional ₹15,000 crore allocated for the same, investing ₹58,000 crore in railway development, contributing ₹1,000 crore towards airports, establishing AIIMS and an airport in Deoghar, initiating a ₹7,500 crore 600 megawatt project, and implementing welfare schemes for the underprivileged. The BJP not only fostered Jharkhand's development but also ensured its security. Key initiatives like Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Mudra Yojna were launched from Jharkhand. Furthermore, PM Jan Dhan Yojana was inaugurated from Birsa Munda's village, marking Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji as the first PM to visit the village.

Union Home Minister underscored that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is widely known as the most corrupt government in the country. ₹300 crore was discovered at the residence of a Congress MP, and ₹30 crore was found at the home of a minister's PA. The Congress government is re-nominating the same minister to protect itself from revelations that the money might be linked to the Congress party. The Congress party must step up to address these accusations, given its association with corrupt practices. The JMM administration is embroiled in numerous corruption allegations, including scams amounting to ₹1,000 crore in MNREGA, ₹300 crore in land transactions, an army land scam, a mining scam valued at ₹1,000 crore, ₹40 crore related to alcohol, and substantial irregularities in transfer postings involving thousands of crores.

Shri Shah expressed concerns that instead of addressing tribal welfare, a tribal Chief Minister is disrupting land and demographic balance by purportedly supporting “land jihad” and “love jihad” in tribal areas. Thousands of infiltrators are marrying tribal girls and acquiring land using falsified certificates. The largest decline in tribal populations across the country is occurring in Jharkhand. The BJP has pledged that if it assumes power in Jharkhand, it will release a white paper addressing population concerns and ensure the protection of tribal lands, populations, and reservations. Hemant Soren is accused of broadening his voter base without considering its impact on local youth employment, with critics claiming his tribal welfare initiatives primarily benefit his own family. The BJP has made history by appointing the nation's inaugural tribal Chief Minister and the first tribal President from the Santhal community.

Union Home Minister highlighted that Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee played a vital role in including the Santhali language in the 8th Schedule and establishing the Tribal Welfare Ministry, along with promoting the Santhali language in Jharkhand. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has undertaken numerous welfare initiatives for the OBC community, including providing 27% reservation in national exams, setting up the Backward Classes Commission, advocating for the rights of backward classes and ensuring 27% representation of backward classes in his cabinet. Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has focused on national security.

Hon’ble Shri Shah urged the removal of the corrupt JMM government in Jharkhand and advocated for a BJP-led government in the upcoming state assembly elections to foster development among tribals, backward classes, and all citizens of Jharkhand.
