Salient points of the Speech given by Hon’ble BJP National President and Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda in Hyderabad, Telangana to highlight the failures of Cong Govt’s One year rule in Telangana

The first year of Congress government in Telangana stands as a glaring example of failures and the deceitful promises made to the public

***************

Congress government is a government of 'Jadugars' and 'Madarigiri'. Congress makes false promises like a 'Madari' and when questioned says that 'Tamasha Khatam, Paisa Hajam'

***************

Congress had promised to give Rs 12,000 annually to auto drivers in Telangana, promised to open 6,000 schools, talked about Vidya Bharosa card but did nothing

***************

Congress made false promises of unemployment allowance and loan waiver of up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers. The Congress had promised a bonus of ₹5 per liter on milk, Rhytu Bharosa of ₹15,000 per acre of land and ₹12,000 to farmers, but did not fulfill it

***************

Congress promised to give ₹2500 per month i.e. 30 thousand per year to the women of Telangana, but till now no one has received this amount. They also made a false promise of giving ₹1 lakh and 1 tola gold under the Shadi Mubarak scheme

***************

Congress is a ‘parasitic’ party that survives by relying on the support of others, often pulling its allies into decline alongside itself

***************

Congress party has failed to deliver on its promises in states like Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka, betraying women, youth and farmers

***************

Congress consumes power and the public, while BJP uses power for the welfare and development of the public. Congress enjoys luxury after coming to power, while BJP works to improve the lives of the public after coming to power

***************

Wherever Congress loses its foothold, it never manages to regain it, and the same fate awaits it in Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh

***************

Congress party is notorious for its deceptive tactics. It makes empty promises, later denying any responsibility

***************

Our workers have exposed the betrayal of the Congress through their efforts in raising public awareness. They have run a successful campaign. For this, I thank and congratulate the Telangana unit.

Hon’ble National President of BJP and Union Health Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a public meeting to highlight the failure of Congress State Government in one year at Hyderabad, Telangana on Saturday. Shri Nadda criticized the Congress government and presented its one-year report card in Telangana, highlighting its unfulfilled promises. He also pointed out the failed commitments of the Congress in states like Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka. During the event, Union Minister and Telangana BJP President Shri G. Kisan Reddy, BJP National Vice President Smt DK Aruna, National General Secretary Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Member of Parliament Shri Sudhakar Reddy, among other leaders were present.

Shri Nadda expressed his appreciation for the large number of people who had gathered to highlight the misdeeds of the current Telangana government over the past year. He initiated his address by saluting the people of Hyderabad and offering his respects to Mata Bhagyalaxmi.

Hon’ble BJP National President extended congratulations to the BJP Telangana unit who had decided to expose the injustices, deceptions and lies of the current Congress government in Telangana, led by Revanth Reddy. He congratulated the Telangana BJP President and his entire team for taking up this responsibility. A successful campaign has been conducted by BJP karyakartas from December 1 to December 6 across 119 assembly constituencies and all districts. During this campaign, they raised detailed awareness among the public about the Congress government’s betrayal and deceit.

Shri Nadda stated that the Telangana BJP has worked diligently to raise critical issues such as the voices of farmers, the pain of women, the aspirations of the youth and the injustices faced by employees. It is an assurance for the people of Telangana that BJP is committed to being their voice and leading the state towards sustainable development. BJP is the only political party with a future in Telangana and the country. People should place their faith in the party's leadership for the state's progress.

Hon’ble BJP National President highlighted the fundamental difference between the Congress and BJP, stating that while Congress uses power for personal indulgence, BJP uses it to serve and benefit the people. Bharatiya Janata Party prioritizes development, whereas Congress treats power as an opportunity for enjoyment. Shri Nadda further mentioned the unparalleled leadership of the BJP, highlighting that Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is the first leader in 60 years to be elected for a third consecutive term as Prime Minister.

Shri Nadda remarked that when Pt. Nehru became the 1st Prime Minister, there was widespread euphoria across the country following India’s independence in 1947 and the opposition parties were certainly weak. However, when Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji became Prime Minister for the third time, despite a strong opposition, the people of India continued to support him. There is a stark difference in the working cultures of Congress and BJP. For 70 years, the term 'anti-incumbency' was commonly heard, governments came and went, as those in power were often gripped by anti-incumbency, leading to public disappointment. However, with the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India first experienced the term 'pro-incumbency.' Today, when the BJP comes to power, it remains steadfast and continues to serve the people, such is the culture of the BJP.

Hon’ble National President stated that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured 31.3% of the vote, totaling 18 crore votes. In 2019, this increased to 23 crore votes, with a vote share of 37.7%. In 2024, the BJP received 23.5 crore votes, securing a third consecutive term in power. The people of Telangana and across the country believe that their future is secure under a BJP government. Currently, the BJP is in power in 13 states, and the NDA governs in 6 states, giving the NDA a total of 19 states under its leadership. Wherever the BJP forms a government, it remains in power, grows stronger and continues to win.

Shri Nadda stated that the people of Telangana are eagerly awaiting a BJP government. He encouraged them to move away from BRS and Congress, and to support the BJP for a future of progress and development. The BJP has been in power in Gujarat for six terms, four times in Madhya Pradesh, and has achieved a hat-trick in Haryana and Goa. In Uttar Pradesh, after 30 years, a CM has been re-elected after completing a full term. In Maharashtra, the BJP broke its own record and formed the government for the second time. BJP has a track record of forming governments for the second time in states like Tripura, Uttarakhand, Manipur, and Assam. The BJP continues to set records by winning time and again. Although the BJP was mandated to sit in the opposition in Jammu and Kashmir, it broke its own record by winning the highest number of seats. In the by-elections, the party also secured victories in 20 seats.

Hon’ble BJP National President cautioned the people of Telangana, describing the Congress party as a parasitic party. Congress party that cannot stand on its own and relies on support from other parties. It not only destroys itself but also brings down the parties that support it. It has been witnessed that wherever Congress has contested alone, they have faced defeat. Be it Chhattisgarh, MP, and Gujarat, the Congress and BJP had a direct face-off on 64 seats. Out of 64, BJP won 62 seats while Congress won 2. The Congress only won in those states where they got support from regional parties, be it Tamil Nadu, UP, or Bihar. Congress is a party standing on its crutches and walks with the support of regional parties.

Shri Nadda stated that the way the Congress party formed governments in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana, people in all three states have faced deceit. In Himachal Pradesh, Congress promised the Old Pension Scheme, but workers are still waiting for its implementation. They also assured 5 lakh employment opportunities, but the youth feel betrayed. Congress pledged ₹1500 per month for women, yet 28 lakh women have been waiting for over three years without receiving a single penny. Additionally, Congress promised 300 units of free electricity, but the state struggles with power shortages, making this promise unrealistic. They also committed to opening four English-medium schools in every legislative constituency, but not only were no English-medium schools opened, but even schools in local languages have been shut down. Similarly, in Karnataka, Congress promised to provide Anganwadi workers ₹1500 per month, but these workers are still waiting for their dues. Meanwhile, the party is caught in internal infighting between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, hindering governance. Promise to provide milk subsidies, but did not fulfill. Congress also promised to give free Rs 10 Kg rice under Anna Bhagya Yojana but only gave Rs 5 kg.

Hon’ble BJP National President mentioned that the Revanth Reddy government has deceived the people over the last year in Telangana. The Congress promised to give ₹12,000 to each auto driver but failed to fulfill this commitment. Shri Nadda accused the Congress of engaging in ‘Madarigiri,’ saying, “Like a Madari who pulls out a pigeon, eggs, and chickens, and when asked later about it, replies, 'Tamasha Khatam, Paisa Hajam'. This is exactly what the Revanth Reddy government has done.” The Congress promised to open 6,000 schools, but this commitment remains unfulfilled. They also spoke about introducing the Vidya Bharosa card, but how can a government that lacks faith in itself provide such a card? From the same stadium, the Congress promised unemployment allowances to the youth, yet this promise too has not been delivered. The Congress also deceived the farmers. They promised to provide a ₹2 lakh crop loan and waive off existing loans but failed to fulfill either promise. Similarly, the assurance of ₹15,000 per acre under the Rythu Bharosa scheme was not delivered to farmers. This is the Congress' report card. They failed to provide ₹12,000 in assistance and also failed to deliver ₹5 per litre on milk as promised. Additionally, Congress committed to giving ₹2,500 per month to women but did not honor this pledge either.

Shri Nadda criticized the Congress government for its unfulfilled promises. He mentioned that Congress had promised the ‘Shadi Mubarak’ scheme, which included ₹1 lakh and 10 grams of gold, but they failed to deliver. Referring to the Congress as a "government of Madaris and Jadugars," he accused them of deceiving the backward classes and committing injustices. The Congress had promised to launch the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Backward Commission Sub-plan but has failed to fulfill this commitment. Similarly, the promise to set up a welfare department for the most backward classes remains unfulfilled even after a year. Furthermore, the assurance of providing ₹2 lakh to the Yadava and Kurma communities for sheep farming has also not been fulfilled. The Congress government is being labeled as one of ‘Madaris,’ ‘Jadugars,’ and ‘Dhokebaaz,’ accused of betraying the youth, women, farmers, and workers of the state. In contrast, the Bharatiya Janata Party positions itself as the only party capable of ensuring development in Telangana.

Hon’ble BJP National President remarked that in Telangana, there seems to be a habit of excessive borrowing—taking loans and indulging without accountability. He accused the Congress party of operating on the principles of Charvaka philosophy, which advocates, "Jitne Din Jiyo, Sukh Se Jiyo" (live happily as long as you live) and suggests taking loans for enjoyment without concern for repayment. Shri Nadda stated that the Congress party has adopted the approach of ruling by borrowing and indulging in luxury as long as it remains in power, without considering the long-term impact. The Congress party knows that once their rule ends, no one will remember them and the party will fade away. Congress has been uprooted from Tamil Nadu for 60 years and has never returned, and it has been 30 years since it was ousted from Uttar Pradesh, 25 years from Bihar and over 30 years from Gujarat, where it hasn't come back. Wherever Congress leaves its footprint, it never returns. The same will happen to Congress in Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh. Congress focuses on indulgence and luxury, with no regard for the people and this is their true agenda.

Shri Nadda stated that under the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, India has risen from 11th position and became the 5th largest economy. Telangana's support is essential for India to reach 3rd position during Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s third term. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji has brought Telangana into the mainstream. Following the principles of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas,’ Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has ensured justice for everyone. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji allocated ₹1.60 lakh crore to Telangana in tax devolution, along with ₹1.1 lakh crore in grant-in-aid. For smart city development, Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji allocated ₹27,000 crore for Greater Warangal and Karimnagar. The PM Mitra Textile Park has been set up in Kakatiya and the railway budget has been increased twenty-fold. 3 Vande Bharat trains are now running in the state, and economic corridors are being developed under the Bharatmala project, including Hyderabad-Indore, Surat-Chennai, Hyderabad-Panaji, and Hyderabad-Vishakhapatnam. The construction of AIIMS in Bibinagar has also begun.

Hon’ble BJP National President contrasted the BJP, which fulfills its promises and works for the people, with the Congress party, led by Revanth Reddy’s ‘Madaari’ government that deceives the people and misleads them. Shri Nadda urged the Telangana BJP to continue spreading the message of the party’s commitment to work for the people, contrasting it with Congress, whose members are more interested in their enjoyment rather than in serving the public. BJP leaders work tirelessly for the people, while Congress leaders only play with public interests and lose the people's trust. Congress members, who misuse power, should be sidelined, and those committed to working for the people should be given the continuous opportunity to lead. He called for the symbol of the ‘lotus’ to be spread further to ensure Telangana’s progress.
