Salient Points of Press Conference of BJP National Spokesperson and Lok Sabha MP Dr. Sambit Patra

Congress party has long been in the habit of strengthening the morale of Pakistan's terrorists and military. This has been their consistent approach. On the outside, they present themselves as the Congress Working Committee (CWC), but in reality, they operate more like the Pakistan Working Committee (PWC)

*****************

Right after the Congress Working Committee meeting, Channi questioned the air strikes, which reflects Congress' calculated strategy and constitutes a direct assault on the bravery of our armed forces

*****************

The 2019 air strike sent shockwaves through Pakistan, and even today, their ministers and military officials remain fearful of another strike. When Congress asserts that no air strike took place during Pulwama, doesn’t this diminish the morale of Indian Army and Indian Air Force?
*****************

Even if Congress doesn’t understand terrorist attacks or the emotions of the people, it has no right to weaken the morale of the armed forces and trifle with the nation’s sentiments
*****************

Congress leaders are consistently making anti-India and pro-Pakistan statements. Saifuddin Soz claimed that Pakistan has no connection with terrorism, Siddaramaiah said there should be no war, B.K. Hariprasad referred to Pakistan not as an enemy but merely as a neighbouring country, and other leaders have been spreading confusion over the issue of the terrorists’ religious based targeting
*****************

The Congress says, “Tell us the strategy—where, how, and with what weapons action will be taken.” But if this PWC (Pakistan Working Committee) group is given the strategy, they would waste no time in rushing to inform Pakistan

*****************

When Akhilesh Yadav and Arvind Kejriwal were being praised in Pakistan’s Parliament, Rahul Gandhi instructed Channi to hold a press conference immediately after the CWC meeting, so that he too could be lauded in Pakistan

*****************

The people of India are watching everything and will give a fitting response to these traitors, while our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji will respond to the terrorists

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson and Lok Sabha MP Dr. Sambit Patra addressed a press conference at the party’s central office in New Delhi, on Saturday. During the conference, Dr. Patra strongly criticized the anti-national mindset of the Congress party. Dr. Patra stated that soon after the CWC meeting, Congress made Channi hold a press conference in which he questioned the air strikes. This is not just a statement but a deliberate strategy by the Congress, which is a direct attack on the valour of the armed forces and an insult to the sentiments of the nation.

Dr. Patra stated that while the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and the Gandhi family may choose not to treat terrorist attacks with the seriousness they deserve and may disregard the sentiments of the Indian public, and they do not give them the license to repeatedly undermine the morale of the Indian Armed Forces. Such behavior is a blatant affront to the emotions and sacrifices of the people of this country.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra highlighted that recently, a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack took place in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, plunging the entire nation into mourning and outrage. Amid this, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) held a meeting in which certain resolutions were passed. However, immediately after these resolutions, the Congress party organized another press conference, which appeared to be part of a well-planned strategy. This press conference was addressed by former Punjab Chief Minister and current MP Charanjit Singh Channi. It is noteworthy that Punjab is a sensitive border state. During the press conference, Channi cast doubt on the air strikes conducted by India after the Pulwama attack, stating that “there was no air strike. If a bomb had actually fallen on your country, wouldn’t you have known? I’ve always asked for proof.” This remark is not just a personal opinion but a reflection of the Congress party’s deliberate and calculated strategy. While Mallikarjun Kharge presents a formal resolution at the CWC meeting, a senior leader from a bordering state holds a parallel press conference that directly questions the bravery and operations of the Indian Armed Forces. This clearly exposes the Congress party’s double-faced and contradictory stance.

Dr. Patra remarked that the 2019 air strikes sent shockwaves through Pakistan, causing deep unrest among its leadership. Even today, several Pakistani ministers and military officials continue to express fears of another potential strike by India. The Indian media has consistently covered this topic, featuring numerous statements from Pakistan that validate the strikes. In such a context, the Congress party’s claim that “no surgical strike took place” not only undermines the credibility of the Indian armed forces but also delivers a serious blow to the morale of the entire nation. Why does the Congress repeatedly make statements that appear to bolster and supply oxygen to Pakistan’s government, its army, and even terrorist groups? The Congress party should issue a public apology. Politicizing matters of national security and disrespecting the armed forces has become a pattern for Congress, but this time, the nation will not stay silent. Any insult to the bravery of our soldiers or disregard for the sentiments of the people will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

National Spokesperson Dr. Patra stated that the Congress party constantly works to provide oxygen to Pakistani terrorists and the Pakistani army. It is the Congress that boosts their morale. This has been the Congress party’s old pattern. I have no hesitation in saying this—it may appear to be the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on the outside, but from within, it is the Pakistan Working Committee (PWC). It cannot be a coincidence that every day a Congress leader holds a press conference, criticizes India, speaks against our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, and issues statements in support of Pakistan. This cannot merely be a coincidence. It may happen once or twice, but ever since the terrorist attack on the 22nd, Congress leaders have been continuously making such statements every single day.

Dr. Patra stated that Saifuddin Soz, a senior Congress leader and former minister, said we should accept Pakistan’s viewpoint. Pakistan has nothing to do with terrorism and that we should not stop Pakistan’s water supply. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah began lamenting from day one, saying there should be no war, that war is not a good thing, and that Pakistan should be let go. The question is—why should we let them go? Following this, R.B. Thimmapur, a minister in Karnataka, said that the government is lying. He claimed that the terrorists who came did not ask anyone about their religion; they simply opened fire. Those who say that the terrorists targeted people based on religion are misled. B.K. Hariprasad, a senior Congress leader, said, “Pakistan may be an enemy country for BJP, but for us, it is just a neighbouring country.”

National Spokesperson Dr. Patra recalled a striking revelation made by Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, who in an interview disclosed that a senior Congress leader had clandestinely crossed the Attari border into Pakistan and stayed in Islamabad for 15 days. The leader avoided using the airport to evade scrutiny, opting instead for a secretive entry. Shri Sarma has also claimed that this leader’s children are not even Indian citizens, a fact that raises serious questions and concerns. Dr. Patra went on to reference Congress leader B.K. Hariprasad, who referred to Pakistan as a “beloved neighbour.” He remarked, “When your leaders spend weeks in Pakistan and your children hold foreign citizenship, it's hardly surprising that you view Pakistan with affection.”

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra also criticized Robert Vadra for his response following a terrorist attack, noting that instead of condemning the perpetrators, Vadra chose to target Hindutva, suggesting that such attacks occur because Hindutva supposedly harasses Muslims. Congress MLA Vijay Wadettiwar said that the terrorists did not ask anyone about their religion, they didn’t even have the time for that. Did Wadettiwar know more than the tourists themselves? Senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar stated that the Pahalgam attack was a consequence of the unresolved questions from the time of Partition. He indirectly justified terrorism. Himachal Pradesh’s Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister, Choudhary Chander Kumar, said that the entire world is spitting on India right now. He claimed that revenge cannot be taken by cutting off water and electricity. He alleged that since the government is unable to eliminate the terrorists, it is placing the blame on Pakistan. He further said that terrorism exists in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Canada, and the United States as well. Solutions do not come from bullets and guns, he stated—they come from sitting across the table and talking.

Dr. Patra emphasized that one really has to wonder, why not call the Congress party 'PWC' instead of 'CWC'? Outwardly, they present themselves as the Congress Working Committee, but their actions suggest they operate more like a Pakistan Working Committee. The statements made by their leaders make this increasingly evident. Congress leaders demand that detailed strategies be revealed in official resolutions, asking when, where, how, and with what weapons operations will be carried out. Should such sensitive information be handed over to them, only for it to be relayed to Pakistan? If these PWC members are given access to national security strategies, there would be a race among them to leak the details. They would rush to be the first to inform Pakistan. It would turn into a contest, with every PWC member scrambling to get there.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Patra stated that in Pakistan’s Parliament, PTI Senator Saifullah Abro mentioned both Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party and the Aam Aadmi Party. He said, “All of India’s opposition parties are condemning the Pahalgam attack. Whether it is Delhi’s Aam Aadmi Party or Uttar Pradesh’s Samajwadi Party, none is supporting Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi—everyone is opposing him. No one has come forward to back Modi; all have said that this is your issue, that you are already against Muslims, and now you are using this to cover up your actions.” In Pakistan's Parliament, there is applause for these leaders, and both Akhilesh Yadav and Arvind Kejriwal are being praised. Rahul Gandhi must have observed this and thought, if two members of the Rawalpindi alliance are receiving accolades, why should the Congress be left behind? Rahul then instructed Channi to immediately hold a press conference after the CWC meeting so that they too could be celebrated in Pakistan. Starting tomorrow, everyone will likely hear Rahul Gandhi’s praises echoing in Pakistan as well. Even the Senate there will commend him. One must pause to consider the kind of individuals these are and the type of atmosphere the Congress’ “Pakistan Working Committee” is fostering against our nation. The people of India are watching closely, and they will respond decisively to these traitors. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji will ensure that the terrorists receive an appropriate response.
