Salient Points of BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia’s Press Conference

Supreme Court's hearing on the RG Kar Hospital case is a blow to Indian democracy, yet Mamata Banerjee remains unapologetic. Today's proceedings saw a clash between the 'Rakshaks' and the 'Bhakshaks' of the Constitution

******************

Nir-Mamata Banerjee is not ashamed. She chose not to stand with the victim's family and instead aligned herself with the accused

******************

Why there was a delay of 14 hours in filing the FIR in the Kolkata rape and murder case?

******************

BJP asked "Why is the post-mortem report challan is absent from the records?" Whether the “Challan” would reveal if Mamata Banerjee was trying to protect her favored police commissioner, who has not yet resigned.

******************

Mamata Banerjee's negligence and attempts to cover up wrongdoing have worsened the situation. To ensure justice for the family of the deceased, it is crucial that she undergo a polygraph test and be held accountable

******************

Today, the Supreme Court clearly states that doctors and women must have faith in the government and receive proper security. The responsibility for ensuring this security lies with Mamata Banerjee
******************

Supreme Court stood as the guardian, with the BJP and the people of West Bengal fighting for justice together. The nation upheld the Constitution, while Mamata Banerjee emerged as its ‘Bhakshak

Parents of the victims have alleged that the Kolkata police has pressurized them and has even offered them money to settle the matter

Bhartiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Monday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia demanded West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to step down from the position for failing to maintain law and order and ensure women's safety in the state. He criticized Mamata Banerjee for focusing on maintaining her power rather than ensuring justice.

Shri Bhatia noted that in the Supreme Court case involving the rape and murder of a female doctor from RG Kar Medical College, the hearing lasted nearly two hours, which caused the entire democracy of India to hang its head in shame. However, Shri Bhatia criticized West Bengal CM ‘Nir-Mamata’ Banerjee for not showing any sign of shame.

BJP National spokesperson Shri Bhatia pointed out that during the Supreme Court hearing, there was a clash between ‘Rakshak’ of the Constitution and ‘Bhakshak’ of the Constitution. The Supreme Court acted as the defender of the Constitution. Both the citizens of India and West Bengal have become defenders of the Constitution, while West Bengal CM Nir-Mamata Banerjee, who also oversees the Home and Health Ministries in the state, has emerged as a violator of the Constitution. Mamata Banerjee can stand with the rapists but she did not see it as necessary to stand with the RG Kar rape and murder victim's family.

Shri Bhatia highlighted three major questions posed by the Supreme Court to the Mamata Banerjee government. Shri Bhatia said that during the hearing in the Supreme Court asked many questions to the Mamata Banerjee government. The Bharatiya Janata Party also asks questions to Mamata Banerjee regarding those questions and expects answers from her, because the people of the country also want answers to these questions. During the hearing of this case, the question arose that why there was a delay of 14 hours in filing the FIR in the Kolkata rape and murder case? In the case of a heinous crime or cognizable offence, it is the police's responsibility to promptly register the FIR. However, in the RG Kar case, only an entry for unnatural death was made. The Bharatiya Janata Party has prominently raised this issue on both national and state platforms. Today, it has been established that the BJP is dedicated to securing justice for the victim's family and ensuring the safety of every woman and girl in West Bengal.

The questions asked to the Mamata Banerjee government during the hearing of this case proved that Mamata Banerjee has failed to govern West Bengal and provide security to the people. The court has exposed the real face of Mamata Banerjee. It is the responsibility of Mamata Banerjee to immediately resign from the post of Chief Minister so that there can be an impartial investigation of the Kolkata doctor rape and brutal murder case. Should the inquiry uncover evidence of her negligence, involvement in the cover-up and efforts to destroy evidence, then a polygraph test and possible arrest of CM Mamata Banerjee could be crucial to ensuring justice for the victim's family and every citizen of the country. This is the demand of the people of West Bengal and the Supreme Court's harsh remarks have exposed the grim reality of Mamata Banerjee.

BJP National spokesperson Shri Bhatia highlighted that the post-mortem of the deceased should have been carried out at a different medical college, but it was rushed through at RG Kar Medical College instead. The challan, which details the timing of the post-mortem, is missing. BJP asked "Why is the post-mortem report challan is absent from the records?"

Shri Bhatia questioned whether the “Challan” would reveal if Mamata Banerjee was trying to protect her favored police commissioner, who has not yet resigned. He also asked if Mamata Banerjee was making efforts to shield the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, who has now been arrested. Additionally, he inquired if Mamata Banerjee was attempting to defend the accused involved in the case. He questioned Mamata Banerjee, asking how the challan could be missing when the Calcutta High Court had directed that all records be handed over to the CBI.

Shri Bhatia stated that the CCTV footage, which could have been crucial evidence in the incident, was mishandled by the Kolkata police under the shameless and careless leadership of Nir-Mamata Banerjee. The police submitted only 27 minutes of footage to the CBI, neglecting to provide the hours before and after the incident that could have been crucial. Nir-Mamata Banerjee has become known as ‘Jhoothi Mamata Banerjee’ and she has no intention of suspending the police commissioner.

BJP National spokesperson Shri Bhatia mentioned that the BJP has demanded the immediate resignation of both West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and the police commissioner, asserting that they have failed to ensure women's safety. The public of West Bengal wants the call records of Mamata Banerjee, the police commissioner and the former principal of RG Kar Medical College to be made public. While Mamata Banerjee focuses on safeguarding her position, the BJP remains committed to seeking justice for the victim and her family. He emphasized that the BJP will not deviate from its path, even if the TMC attempts to remove evidence and intimidate witnesses.

Shri Bhatia stated that the parents of the victims have alleged that the Kolkata police pressurized them and has even offered them money to settle the matter. Additionally, the complaint, which was initially given by the informant, was later written by the police themselves, raising doubts about the credibility of the complaint. On Mamata Banerjee's directions, her nephew Abhishek Banerjee has spread false claims about the doctors. The Joint Platform of Doctors West Bengal has demanded Abhishek Banerjee's resignation for falsely alleging that the victim died because she bled for three hours without receiving medical help. They assert this claim is completely false. The TMC, which should ensure the safety of doctors, is instead alleging false charges against them and arresting them.

BJP National spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that the Supreme Court has emphasized that the trust of female doctors in the government should not be undermined and that Mamata Banerjee must ensure their safety.

Shri Bhatia stated that Rahul Gandhi is a part-time leader. After becoming LoP, he has responsibility on his shoulders that the public has given him. He is a black spot on democracy. He doesn't even know what to say on foreign land. He could not say a word against China. He portrays India as a weak entity. We have time and again demanded that you have had a MoU signed with China and you should make it public and they have been weakening democracy in India under that MoU. I challenge Rahul ji and Kharge ji that bring that MoU to the public and prove me wrong.
