Salient Points of BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia’s Press Conference

The BJP emphasizes the development of the country and the state, along with uniting the people in line with its motto. In contrast, the opposition's strategy appears to be: "First divide, so that infiltrators can exploit the people."

*****************

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah firmly stated, “Ghuspaithiyon ko chun chun kar bahar karenge.” However, the major aim of the JMM and Congress seems to be “Ghuspaithiyon ka chun chun kar byah karenge”

*****************

Bangladeshi infiltrators are first kept in madrassas, after which government documents are prepared for them. This occurs because Congress, JMM, and RJD engage in appeasement politics, knowing these infiltrators will become their vote bank.

*****************

Do Congress and JMM consider infiltrators their vote bank, and is that why no action is taken against them? Do they not care about the interests of the natives?

*****************

Numerous complaints have been made about the usurpation of land belonging to the natives of Jharkhand, but the JMM government has not taken any action. This inaction poses a significant threat to the country's internal security

*****************

During the 2001 census, Scheduled Tribes comprised 46% of the population in Santhal Pargana, which declined to 42% in the 2011 census. In contrast, the Muslim population rose from 33% in 2001 to 36% in 2011, clearly indicating demographic change.

*****************

For Congress and JMM, the identity and dignity of women seem to hold little importance. In Jharkhand, infiltrators first strip women of their identity through forced marriages, and then proceed to seize their lands.

*****************

The Congress party held power for 55 years but never made an effort to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) because they pursued appeasement politics.

*****************

The BJP questions Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge on whether the Congress party respects the fundamental spirit of the Constitution and their stance on this matter.

*****************

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi often carries a red book, and some claim it is the Italian Constitution because he has never actually read the Indian Constitution.

*****************

The voters of Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and all other states holding elections will respond firmly to those engaging in underhanded tactics and schemes.

*****************

The central government has provided Jharkhand with 9 Vande Bharat trains, established the Eastern DFC trade corridor, and is constructing a Greenfield corridor in Deoghar. This demonstrates that promises made by Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji are dependable, whereas those from JMM and Congress are linked to corruption, dynastic politics, and appeasement.

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia held a press conference at the party’s central office on Monday, strongly criticizing the JMM and Congress over alleged infiltration issues in Jharkhand, which he attributed to the policies of the "Ghamandia coalition" government. Shri Bhatia emphasized that while Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantees are steadfast and reliable, the promises of the JMM and Congress are rooted in corruption, nepotism, and appeasement. He stressed that the people of Jharkhand are ready for change, eager to establish a BJP government committed to national and regional welfare.

Shri Bhatia accused the opposition of attempting to divide society, creating opportunities for infiltrators that threaten the people. He noted the public’s clear call for change in Jharkhand, signaling a strong mandate for an NDA-led government. Chief Minister and corruption-accused Hemant Soren’s proposer has withdrawn support, seeing that genuine development, public welfare, the path to victory, and the unity of state and nation only lie under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Citing Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah’s recent rally, he mentioned Shri Shah’s commitment to remove infiltrators from the country, stating: “Ghuspaithiyon ko chun chun kar bahar karenge.” Shri Bhatia contrasted this with the alleged priorities of the JMM and Congress, remarking, “Ghuspaithiyon ka chun chun kar byah karenge.”

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia emphasized that the Scheduled Tribes, known for their deep love and cultural connection to their motherland, Jharkhand, have made selfless sacrifices for their land. However, the JMM and Congress are involved in a conspiracy to systematically allow the entry of infiltrators into the state, causing demographic shifts in Jharkhand. Shri Bhatia noted that after the Bharatiya Janata Party raised this critical issue, the sluggish state government and Chief Minister Hemant Soren responded only with superficial paperwork and issued instructions, underscoring the administration’s failure. According to the government order, the first step indicates that Bangladeshi infiltrators have been identified and placed in madrasas.

Shri Bhatia stated that every Chief Minister has a duty to prioritize the welfare of the people of Jharkhand and safeguard national security, which includes sharing information about infiltrators with the central government and taking decisive action. He criticized the second step in the current approach, where government papers are prepared without any real action taken against the infiltrators. Whether it’s Congress, JMM, or RJD, he claimed all these parties engage in appeasement politics, showing no hesitation in supporting infiltrators who they view as a reliable vote bank. The second order, he added, also indicates that after creating government documents, these infiltrators are connected to Jharkhand residents in other states, strategically targeting specific vote banks. The third step involves adding these infiltrators' names to the voter list. Shri Bhatia expressed serious concerns about allowing these infiltrators to remain in the state, where they often marry Scheduled Tribe girls and acquire land in their names. The troubling question, he noted, is why no action is taken—because JMM and Congress regard these infiltrators as a critical vote bank. Sadly, the rights of native residents seem to hold no value for them. Despite repeated complaints and calls for action from the BJP and local communities, no steps have been taken. Shri Bhatia emphasized that this issue poses a severe threat to the internal security of the country, a concern that Shri Babulal Marandi has prominently highlighted.

National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia presented data on demographic changes, noting that the 2001 census revealed a significant demographic shift in the Santhal Pargana region. Between 2001 and 2011, the Scheduled Tribe population decreased from 46% to 42%, a drop of 4%, while the Muslim population increased from 33% to 36%, a rise of 3%. Shri Bhatia highlighted that these changes reflect the region's shifting demographics and other influencing factors.

Shri Bhatia stated that while the Bharatiya Janata Party emphasizes ‘Roti, Beti, and Mati’ (livelihood, daughters, and land), for Congress and JMM, it seems to be ‘Jharkhand ke Nivasi unki khakar roti, JMM aur Congress ho gayi moti’ (The people of Jharkhand toil while JMM and Congress grow fat on their efforts). Regarding ‘Beti’ (daughters), Shri Bhatia alleged that Congress and JMM disregard the dignity and respect that women of Jharkhand deserve. He claimed that infiltrators, who they allegedly support, disrespect Jharkhand's daughters by marrying them to gain land ownership. The BJP has promised the people of Jharkhand that if the NDA and BJP come to power, land taken from the rightful residents of Jharkhand will be restored to the Scheduled Tribe communities. As for ‘Mati’ (land), Shri Bhatia pointed to illegal land grabs in Jharkhand, alleging that land and mining mafias have seized control. He noted that Chief Minister Hemant Soren even admitted to involvement in mining and, when confronted in court, claimed it was a mistake and promised to return the land.

National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia underscored the importance of the motto, “Na hum batenge, na hum katenge” (We will neither divide nor weaken). He asserted that the people of Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and other states with upcoming elections will respond decisively to those who engage in underhanded tactics. The message to all corrupt figures, dynasts, and communal politicians allegedly supporting infiltrators, he said, is clear: ‘If one wishes to engage in politics in India, one cannot offer shelter to infiltrators.’

Shri Bhatia raised another issue, questioning Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. He remarked that Rahul Gandhi is often seen carrying a red book, which some claim to be the Italian Constitution, suggesting that he has not read the Indian Constitution. Shri Bhatia emphasized that a core principle of the Bharatiya Janata Party is the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code, which reflects the fundamental spirit of the Indian Constitution. Article 44 of the Constitution states, 'The State shall endeavor to secure for the citizens a uniform civil code throughout the territory of India.' He further noted that the BJP has clarified that members of the Scheduled Tribe community would be excluded from the Uniform Civil Code's implementation.

Shri Bhatia urged Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge to clarify whether they uphold the fundamental spirit of the Indian Constitution and to state the Congress party's stance on this issue. He pointed out that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, whose name is frequently invoked by the Congress and other parties, would advise reading the Constituent Assembly debates to understand his views and advocacy on the Uniform Civil Code. Shri Bhatia stressed that this is not merely a formality but a necessity, supported by the Supreme Court's ruling in the 1995 Sarla Mudgal vs. Union of India case, where the Court stated, 'We therefore request the Government of India, through the Prime Minister, to reconsider Article 44 of the Constitution and make efforts to establish a uniform civil code for all citizens across the territory of India.'

Shri Bhatia highlighted that although the Congress party held power for 55 years, it never made an attempt to implement the Uniform Civil Code, as it prioritized appeasement politics, even with the infiltrators. He questioned the Congress party's stance on the fundamental spirit of the Indian Constitution, asserting that the public has a right to know their position. Recently, Jairam Ramesh from Congress raised questions, yet, despite being in power, Congress should be addressing the public’s concerns rather than redirecting inquiries at the BJP. This tendency reflects the deep-seated manipulation and deceit within the Congress party’s approach.

Shri Bhatia further remarked that if Rahul Gandhi had listened to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and other ministers' speeches in Parliament, he would not have raised certain issues. For instance, Rahul Gandhi questioned the railway line from Lohardaga to Chatra, which has already been approved. The drone survey is complete, and the feasibility study is underway. BJP has raised additional questions and expects Rahul Gandhi to respond. He also questioned the establishment of an engineering college, seemingly unaware that the foundation stone for IIIT Ranchi has already been laid. 'Gajini' Rahul Gandhi should recall that during the UPA government, he promised 500 acres for a central university, a promise unfulfilled even after ten years. This contrast is essential, as Congress appears more adept at tweeting than delivering on substantive commitments, which does not serve the public interest.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that Rahul Gandhi questioned the medical college in Koderma. He explained that the central government allocated ₹127.60 crore out of ₹150 crore for the project, but the construction, handled by the Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation, is yet to be completed. Additionally, the central government has provided nine Vande Bharat trains to Jharkhand, the Eastern DFC freight corridor is progressing, and the Deoghar Greenfield Airport is being constructed under the UDAN scheme. These projects reflect the genuine commitments made by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. In contrast, the only guarantees offered by the JMM and Congress seem rooted in corruption, nepotism, appeasement, and manipulation. The people of Jharkhand are leaning towards an NDA government as the primary issues concern national security, the welfare of tribal and Scheduled Tribe communities, and the rights of Jharkhand’s original residents. When we say 'Batenge to Katenge,' it targets those who support infiltrators. We hope that when Rahul Gandhi visits Jharkhand, he will address the questions raised by the BJP and the public."
