Hon’ble Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a public meeting in Raghunathpur, West Bengal on Wednesday. He strongly criticized Congress and TMC for their appeasement and corruption, while shedding light on the welfare and developmental initiatives of the Modi government. During the event, Bankura Lok Sabha candidate Shri Subhash Sarkar, Purulia Lok Sabha candidate Shri Jyotirmay Singh Mahato, and Bishnupur Lok Sabha candidate Shri Soumitra Khan and others were present.

Shri JP Nadda stated that there have been two significant changes under Shri Narendra Modi ji's leadership in the past 10 years. Ten years ago, people used to vote based on caste, religion, appeasement politics, and vote bank politics. Congress used to divide people by caste, religion, urban-rural divide, and between tribal and non-tribal areas. Shri Narendra Modi ji has ended casteism, communalism, and appeasement, and moved the country forward with the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas." Under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi ji, today, the country is witnessing a politics of performance, responsibility, and accountability. Under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the culture, definition, dynamics, and way of working of Indian politics have changed. Now, the leaders don't indulge in personal gains; instead, they serve the nation under Shri Narendra Modi ji's leadership and lead the country towards change. Under Shri Narendra Modi ji's leadership, we are running a 'Majboot' government, while Mamata Banerjee and the India alliance want a 'Majboor' government.

Shri Nadda stated that Mamata Banerjee compromises with infiltrators, adopts a soft approach towards terrorists, and provides protection to those who shelter terrorists. But under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the hatches of terrorists are being smashed. The UPA government used to hold talks with terrorists in Kashmir, but in the Modi government, terrorists have been arrested and Article 370 has been revoked. During the UPA government, corruption and scams occurred every day in the country, but under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, not a single case of corruption has emerged. In the previous government, electricity did not reach homes, but the Modi government has worked to provide electricity to 18 thousand villages and two and a half crore homes across the country.

Shri JP Nadda stated that Mamata Banerjee had prevented the people of West Bengal from benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi for three years. BJP aims to extend the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana to the people of Bengal, but TMC's goons and bullies are obstructing its implementation. The Prime Minister provided free health coverage of up to ₹5 lakh to 50 crore people of the country under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana. However, Mamata Banerjee halted its implementation in West Bengal, depriving 1 crore 25 lakh people of its benefits. Now, if the BJP forms the government for the third time, it has resolved to include every category of elderly individuals above 70 years of age under the ambit of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Shri JP Nadda stated that a new narrative of development, noting that while global economic powers like America, Japan, Europe, and Russia face economic challenges, India, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, has ascended from the 11th to the 5th largest economy. The BJP pledges that if re-elected, India will become the third-largest economic superpower in the world within three years. Currently, India ranks second in medicine production, second in steel production, and third in the automobile market. A decade ago, Indian mobiles were imported, but today, "Made in India" is proudly displayed on Indian mobiles. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji's leadership has facilitated the construction of new national highways, establishment of seven medical colleges in West Bengal, and the creation of AIIMS in the state.

Shri JP Nadda stated that under the Amrit Bharat Yojana, the railway station of Bankura is undergoing renovation, and the BJP government has invested ₹13,800 crore in railways in West Bengal, introducing the operation of five Vande Bharat trains. The Bharatmala project has also been initiated, and the terracotta craft of Bankura has received the GI tag. Additionally, significant infrastructure developments include the construction of a plastic park in Bajaura at a cost of ₹432 crore and the provision of 74 million liters of tap water every day.

Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda stated that under the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji’s leadership, two vaccines for Corona were developed within 9 months, saving the country from the pandemic and providing Corona vaccines to more than 100 countries worldwide. Under the leadership of the hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, India has now reached the second position in the world in the export of medicines. Today, the country is moving towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ from backward India due to the policies of the hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, which have empowered the poor, afflicted, oppressed, marginalized, backward, youth, farmers, and women. Mamata Banerjee and her associates used to claim earlier that India is illiterate, digital work cannot be done here, but today even a common vegetable seller conducts digital transactions. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has embraced Bengal, but Mamata Banerjee has taken enmity not only with Shri Narendra Modi ji but also with the people of Bengal. After the BJP forms the government, the CAA will be implemented in Bengal.

Shri Nadda stated that while Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is ushering in new dimensions of development every day, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is causing trouble for the state. Under Mamata Banerjee's rule, shelter is being provided to infiltrators, horrific incidents like Sandeshkhali are occurring, and Mamata Banerjee attempted to save the accused of Sandeshkhali. The public has made up their minds to respond to Mamata Banerjee by voting for the BJP. Corruption and extortion are rampant under Mamata Banerjee's rule. TMC leaders are rice thieves, sand thieves, and coal thieves who engage in cow smuggling. TMC workers are not workers but goons who abuse women, and Mamata Banerjee protects them. The hon’ble National President appealed to the local candidates to emerge victorious with a resounding majority and to form the Shri Narendra Modi government once again in the country.
