Bharatiya Janata Party National President and Union Minister Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a ‘professional meet’ in Mumbai South in Maharashtra on Wednesday. Shri Nadda highlighted the welfare and development work carried out by the Modi government over the past 10 years. He stated that Congress is promoting urban Naxal forces in the country and that Uddhav Thackeray, the son of Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray, has joined hands with Congress. During the event, Maharashtra Minister and Malabar Hill BJP Candidate Shri Mangal Prasad Lodha, State Vice President Shri Hitesh Jain, Managing Partner of MK, Shri Vikram Trivedi and Mumbai South BJP District President Shri Sharad Chitalkar among other leaders were present.

Shri Nadda began his address by seeking blessings from Mumba Devi and Shri Siddhivinayak. He highlighted that Maharashtra is a land of social reforms, saints, and freedom fighters, mentioning figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Veer Savarkar, Jyotiba Phule, and baba Shaheb Dr. BR Ambedkar. He emphasized that while the gathering may be small, its impact is long-lasting, as the people present are leaders of society, and their words resonate with many others.

BJP National President Shri Nadda congratulated everyone and stated that a few days ago, Marathi was designated as one of the classical languages of India by the Union Cabinet, led by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji. This decision has a lasting impact, as it will extend the influence of Marathi literature. Saints like Tukaram and others translated important works, such as the Gita and other Vedantic texts, into Marathi, making them accessible to the common audience. Another piece of good news is the return of the historic "Bagh Nakh," which was held in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This weapon, belonging to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and famously used to defeat Afzal Khan, has now been brought back to India and will be preserved in the Satara Museum.

Shri Nadda expressed that the party shares a special bond with Mumbai. He recalled how, during the formative years of the BJP, the late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee famously proclaimed at a plenary session in Samta Nagar, “Andhera Chatega, Suraj Niklega aur Kamal Khilega”. He emphasized that the aim of the BJP and Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi ji is not simply to attain power, but rather to transform India’s political culture. Previously, politics was dominated by divisive tactics like vote-bank politics, nepotism, corruption, and dynastic influence. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has fundamentally shifted the focus to a culture of development, accountability, and transparency, prioritizing pro-poor and performance-driven governance. This shift marks a transformation in political culture. Now, even the opposition, which previously didn’t prioritize manifestos, is compelled to focus on accountability due to the changing expectations in politics.

BJP National President Shri Nadda remarked that, as a responsible political party, the BJP seeks answers from the opposition about the fulfillment of promises made in the Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka elections, yet they remain silent. Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi's guiding mantra, "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, aur Sabka Prayas," emphasizes inclusive development, trust, and collective effort for progress. A new political culture has emerged, and the BJP has worked to move forward with new thinking and new values. The nation has also been made stronger and Atmanirbhar. There was a time when "Make in India" was ridiculed, but today it is becoming a key factor in our success, and the same “Make in India” is taking us towards self-reliance. These serious political decisions have a far-reaching impact.

Shri Nadda highlighted that while countries like America, Europe, and Japan were distributing funds during the Corona pandemic, everyone expected India to do the same. However, Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji stated that this adversity had to be converted into an opportunity. He stated that the money would be invested in infrastructure development, the MSME sector, farmers, and the agriculture sector, with the aim of strengthening them. While countries like the USA, Australia, Europe, Japan, and China are grappling with economic challenges, India is being hailed as a "bright spot."

BJP National President Shri Nadda pointed out that the Modi government has focused on fostering both social and financial inclusivity in its growth model. Social inclusivity means empowering the poor and marginalized sections of society, giving them the strength to rise. Unlike others, the BJP doesn't simply dole out money; it empowers the poor. The BJP provides financial support for initiatives that help people become self-reliant, enabling them to move forward and build a better future. All of the Modi government's initiatives are based on the principles of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas."

Shri Nadda stated that according to the IMF, 25 crore people in India have risen above the poverty line, and extreme poverty has been reduced to less than 1%. This has been made possible by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's initiative of providing free food grains to 80 crore people, ensuring no one is hungry. In Maharashtra alone, 6 crore 53 lakh people are benefiting from the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana. Under the Modi government's Ayushman Bharat scheme, 55 crore people across the country are being provided free treatment up to ₹5 lakh. Additionally, the Maharashtra Mahayuti government has further enhanced the benefit of Ayushman Bharat by increasing the coverage to ₹10 lakh. According to the WHO, India has seen a significant 18% reduction in the number of tuberculosis (TB) patients.

BJP National President Shri Nadda emphasized that under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, 4 crore homes have been built across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with 28 lakh of these homes in Maharashtra alone. In the first Cabinet meeting of Modi Government 3.0, a proposal to construct 3 crore more homes was approved. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, 11 crore toilets have been built nationwide. Through the Ujjwala Yojana, the Modi government has provided LPG cylinders to over 11 crore women, making their kitchens smoke-free. Furthermore, the Modi government has been providing ₹6,000 annually to farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, and the Maharashtra Mahayuti government has raised this amount to ₹12,000. Once the Mahayuti government is formed again in Maharashtra, the Kisan Samman Nidhi amount will be increased to ₹15,000 annually. Under the Modi government, ₹3.45 lakh crore have already been deposited into the accounts of farmers across the country. Additionally, under the Jal Jeevan Mission, water connections have been provided to 11 crore households across the nation.

Shri Nadda stated that when the Modi government started linking Aadhaar cards with various welfare schemes, Congress created a ruckus in Parliament. Congress leaders claimed that India is an illiterate country, and people here wouldn't know what to do with the internet, Wi-Fi, or fiber lines. However, today, even the common woman in our villages is using mobile phones to communicate with people sitting in far-off places, and even the street vendor selling vegetables is conducting transactions through QR codes.

BJP National President Shri Nadda highlighted that from 1971 to 2015, only 3 crore bank accounts existed in India. Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi changed this by ensuring that even zero-balance accounts could be opened, aiming to enable financial inclusion for all. Today, there are 53 crore bank accounts, with 3.6 crore accounts in Maharashtra alone, linked through the Jan Dhan Yojana. Through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ₹3.48 lakh crore has been directly deposited into people's accounts. The Jan Dhan Yojana has played a pivotal role in bringing the informal economy into the formal system. Under the MUDRA Yojana, nearly 41 crore people have benefited, including over 74 lakh beneficiaries in Maharashtra. Shri Nadda emphasized that prior to the Modi government, vendors and hawkers were not considered for credit support; however, today, over 90% of credit access has been extended to them. In 10 years, the BJP government at the center has also struck off 32,000 redundant compliances for businesses and individuals alike. The FDI has increased to 667 US billion dollars, which is 65% more than what was invested in 10 years of the UPA government. Shri Nadda pointed out that previously, long queues of trucks were common on highways, with hours lost at state borders. Today, thanks to GST, intercity travel has become much smoother for goods transport. Similarly, according to American Express, the MSME sector has benefited by 83% due to reforms and interventions under the Modi government.

Shri Nadda stated that India is currently 5th largest economy and is poised to become the 3rd largest economy in the world during Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi’s third term. The IMF says India is a bright spot, and a World Bank report says, “In spite of the slow global growth, India is picking up and it is going fast.” According to the IMF, the growth rate of the United States is at 2.7%, Canada at 1.2%, Australia at 1.6%, France at 0.7%, and Germany struggling at 0.2%. In stark contrast, India is thriving with a growth rate of 6.8%.

BJP National President Shri Nadda highlighted that the Bhai-Behen of Congress talks about unemployment and inflation, but they are unable to see India’s growth. Today, India is the largest automobile market in the world. It happens only when people are purchasing vehicles, but the Bhai-Behen are unable to see the brighter side, as they are unemployed themselves. India ranks 2nd in steel production, chemical exports have increased by 106%, and pharma exports have risen by 138%. India is also the world’s leading dispensary, providing the cheapest and most effective medicines. If India had not developed the Covid-19 vaccine, countries like those in Africa would be in trouble. Additionally, tax devaluation has increased four times, and grant-in-aid for Maharashtra has risen by 3.5 times. The road network in India has been rapidly developing, with the construction of elevated roads, underpasses, highways, and six-lane roads. Over 13,000 km of national highways have been developed in Maharashtra alone. Four greenfield corridors have been partially completed, and ₹18,000 crore has been spent on the Atal Setu Link, which is India's largest sea link. The railway budget for Maharashtra has increased 13 times. Additionally, 11 Vande Bharat trains are now operational, and projects like Pune Metro, Nashik Metro, Mumbai Metro, and Navi Mumbai Metro are under development and expansion. New international airports are being built, and a new all-weather greenfield deep draft port is under construction at a cost of ₹76,200 crore, which will become one of the 10 major ports in the world.

Shri Nadda said that today Indian Institute of Skill Mumbai Review Centre has been established, Solapur has an airport; earlier there used to be only 1 AIIMS, later, 6 AIIMS were built during Atal Ji's rule and now 22 AIIMS were built in 10 years during the tenure of Hon’ble Shri Narendra Modi Ji, which includes Nagpur AIIMS. The Maha Aghadi government stopped the work of Atal Setu, stopped the work of the airport, and stopped the work of the metro and the coastal road, the work of Aghadi is to put brakes while the work of Mahayuti is to reach the target. Bharatiya Janata Party has decided that the ₹1500 given under Ladli Behna Yojana will be increased to ₹2100, 25 thousand women will be recruited in the police for women empowerment, Kisan Samman Nidhi will be increased from 12 thousand to 15 thousand rupees and arrangement of house and food will be made for the poor. The pension of the elderly, widow and disabled will be increased, and 10 lakh children will be given 10 thousand rupees per month for tuition. Electricity bills will be reduced by 30 percent, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijlee Yojana has been implemented, through which every house will be given financial assistance to install solar panels.

BJP National President Shri Nadda stated that the Maha Aghadi government was not just a government that applied the brakes, but a government that operated in reverse gear. When the BJP introduced the Laadli Behna Yojana, the Aghadi government even went to court against it, revealing the mindset of the Aghadi leaders. The disturbing slogans raised in JNU such as "Afzal Hum Sharminda Hain, Tere Qatil Zinda Hain" and "Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Inshah Allah Inshah Allah". The very next day, Rahul Gandhi was seen shaking hands with these same people, supporting them. After that, Congress even gave tickets to those who raised such anti-national slogans. Congress has aligned itself with those who are working to weaken the nation. Congress party has fallen into the hands of urban Naxals. He pointed out the slogans raised against the mastermind behind the Parliament attack and Rahul Gandhi was supporting these anti-national elements and their agenda. He further noted that Maharashtra's people would teach these individuals a lesson on November 20. He recalled how Balasaheb Thackeray had once said that he would dissolve his party rather than align with Congress, but now Uddhav Thackeray has joined hands with the very same Congress. Shri Nadda accused Uddhav Thackeray of compromising his principles solely for the sake of power, and today he is aligning with those who supported Kasab, pleaded for the release of Yakub Memon, called Zakir Naik a peace ambassador, and are now supporting the PFI while contesting elections together.

Shri Nadda stated that Congress has been promoting urban naxals and other divisive forces. Their MP DK Suresh stated that the South gives more tax, which is spent in the North, so that in the future we will make a separate nation. Nobody in the party condemned it. Nasir Hussain was elected as Rajya Sabha MP from the Congress party, and in his gathering, Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised, but no action was taken against him for 2-3 days. The Congress has been supporting pseudo-secularism and anti-national forces. They also create Hindu-Muslim divides. Former PM Manmohan Singh used to say, “First right on Indian resources is of the Muslim minority.” The polarization and division were created by Congress to separate people. They have nothing to do with caste census. The Kaka Kalelkar report has never been implemented by Rahul Gandhi’s great-grandfather and grandmother. No action was taken on the Mandal Commission by their grandmother and his father. The Congress must answer how many OBCs are in the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, the National Advisory Council headed by Sonia Gandhi, and even in their Congress Working Committee. Today, our Hon’ble Prime Minister is from the OBC community, and 27 ministers in the cabinet are from the OBC category.

BJP National President Shri Nadda stated that yesterday, a Congress minister made a racist slur against Shri HD Kumaraswamy. However, no one from the Congress party condemned the remark. It showcases "Rahul Ki Mohabbat Ki Dukan Mein, Batware Ka Saman Bikta Hai." Such people need a befitting reply. There are people with such ideologies, but to keep our nation strong, one must ensure that such cells do not spread everywhere. To stop these cells, the antibiotic is to give your vote on 20th November. He appealed to the people to make Shri Mangal Prasad Lodha the winner from the constituency and ensure the BJP forms the government in Maharashtra.
