Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed public meetings in Barasat and Jadavpur in West Bengal on Tuesday. Shri Modi criticized the corrupt practices of the Congress and TMC government and highlighted the various welfare schemes initiated under his leadership. During the event, Basirhat Lok Sabha candidates Smt Rekha Patra, Barasat candidate Shri Swapan Majumdar and Jadavpur candidate Shri Anirban Ganguly, among other leaders were present.

 

Shri Modi initiated his speech by seeking the blessings of Maa Kaali, stating that with her blessings, everyone collectively battled the cyclone. The government has been continuously focused on the cyclone and the NDRF and other teams have done commendable work. The central government is providing all possible assistance to the state government. Today, India is on the path of development. The strongest pillar of this development is eastern India. In the last 10 years, the BJP government has spent more on eastern India than in the previous 60 years.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that since receiving the blessings of the people, the Modi government has worked on enhancing connectivity in eastern India through railways, expressways, waterways, airports and various other means. A decade ago, metro facilities were limited to just 4-5 cities. Today, more than 20 cities across the country have metro systems. Kolkata's metro network is expanding and Kolkata is pioneering India's first underwater metro. India is transitioning towards electrifying not just trains like the Vande Bharat but also buses. This new transportation system of a new India will usher in a fresh era of employment opportunities. This investment in connectivity and infrastructure is creating new opportunities for employment and self-employment in eastern India. In parts of West Bengal, there are abundant coal and other mineral resources, alongside a significant coastline. Places like Diamond Harbour serve as trading centres. Before Independence, there was a time when Bengal employed millions of people from across the country, but today, many factories in Bengal have closed down, forcing the youth to migrate elsewhere for employment.

 

Shri Modi emphasized that Bengal has suffered at the hands of Congress in the past, followed by the Left and now both the Left and TMC are engaged in its exploitation. Congress, CPM and TMC are all responsible for the state's condition. It is widely understood that every vote given to CPM will eventually benefit TMC. Behind the scenes, TMC and the Left are essentially two sides of the same coin. The West Bengal Chief Minister has even announced support for them in Delhi. The enlightened people of Bengal recognize the critical need for a strong government in the country. Both of these parties have introduced a corrupt and extortionist system in Bengal. These parties are anti-democratic, whether it is panchayat or assembly elections, in Bengal, nothing is achieved without bloodshed. Here, safeguarding democracy is imperative. There is no correlation between TMC and effective governance in Bengal, not even with a telescope. Even with a microscope, good governance remains elusive in Bengal. Consequently, people have decoded all the hidden maneuvers, leading to a unanimous chant from every corner of West Bengal - “Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar”.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister emphasized that ten years ago when the people entrusted him with responsibility, he made a solemn promise to the nation, “Na Khaaunga Na Khane Dunga”.  Not a single scam has occurred at the central level in the past decade. Now, Modi's commitment is clear, "Jisne Khaya Hai, Usse Bahar Nikalunga Aur Jiska Khaaya Usko Lautaaunga". If allowed to serve, it will ensure that every day in India sees the opening of 2 new colleges, a new university every week and the establishment of over 30 medical colleges annually. A decade ago, only 4-5 of India’s institutes made it to the global rankings, today, dozens of institutes in India are globally ranked. India now boasts the world's third-largest startup ecosystem. Over the next 5 years, we envision India becoming a global hub for education and research. The BJP comprehends the public's aspirations and the Modi government is dedicated to transforming India into a global hub for textiles and tourism.

 

Shri Modi conveyed that he experiences a deep sense of pride when he reads the verses of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore about Bengal. He noted that Rabindranath Tagore's words beautifully capture the grandeur of Bengal.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister remarked that the leaders of TMC have accumulated vast sums of money and each rupee will be thoroughly accounted for. Legal measures are being taken to recover the looted wealth and ensure justice. Nearly ₹17,000 crore, looted from the public, have already been returned. Efforts are underway to return the embezzled funds to the people of Bengal as well. When the government is bound to be formed by the BJP, the public will not waste their vote on TMC. TMC's politics is characterized by 'bloodshed politics'. TMC perpetuates a corrupt ecosystem and all of its political strategies are aimed at securing the vote bank.

 

Shri Modi emphasized that while the opposition often discusses scrutinizing the earnings of the common and middle-class citizens through an X-ray, now Modi will expose the black earnings of these corrupt individuals through an X-ray itself. This X-ray vision will make future generations think ten times before engaging in corruption. The TMC and INDI alliance have no concern for the development of the people, their top priority is to appease their vote bank. Across the country, the group that constantly chants about the Constitution and dictatorship should see what is happening in West Bengal, their voices will be silenced. TMC aims to keep the public impoverished and marginalized to sustain its interests, while Modi has been working for the progress of India over the past decade.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister pointed out that the Calcutta High Court has uncovered the TMC's deception against the OBC community in West Bengal. The court ruled that declaring 77 Muslim communities as OBCs is illegal and unconstitutional. This reveals how the TMC exploited lakhs of OBC youths' constitutional rights solely to appease their vote bank. Following the court's decision, the behaviour of the TMC's CM is under national scrutiny. She is now questioning the integrity of the judicial system. Will the TMC intimidate judges too with their goons? The whole nation is witnessing how the TMC is disregarding the judiciary in Bengal. Unable to bear the truth, the TMC targets anyone who exposes its crimes. When a TMC MLA openly threatened to drown Hindus in the Bhagirathi River, Bengal's saints appealed for a rectification of the mistake, but the TMC resorted to insulting them instead. Now, revered organizations like the Ramakrishna Mission, ISKCON and the Bharat Sevashram Sangha face disrespect. All of this is being done to appease their vote bank and further their agenda of vote jihad.

 

Shri Modi stated that the TMC targeted the women of Sandeshkhali who were seeking justice. The nation is witnessing how the BJP has nominated Smt. Rekha Patra is a candidate to respectfully represent a poor daughter in the Parliament. Smt. Rekha Patra is fighting for women's empowerment and she will advocate for their rights as a strong voice for women in the Indian Parliament. Her courage and determination is commendable. She is challenging TMC's significant power and indeed, she embodies the true spirit of a devout worshiper of Maa Durga.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister emphasized that in Bengal, there are not just one or two tyrants like Shahjahan, but there are such oppressors in every street and neighbourhood. It is essential to ensure the victory of Smt. Rekha Patra so that the morale of these oppressors does not increase. The TMC, which used to talk about "Maa, Mati, Manush'', has instilled fear in Maa, undermined the dignity of Mati and even targeted TMC's female MLAs when they speak against thuggery. Shri Modi highlighted that he was watching a video of women from Tezpur, who were pleading to be saved from TMC goons. It is crucial to hold such parties accountable with our voting power. Due to its appeasement politics, TMC spread lies against the CAA. Initially, they tried to obstruct the CAA, but Modi didn't yield to pressure and at the right time, implemented the CAA. Now that the CAA is in effect and people are receiving citizenship, TMC is spreading misinformation. However, the entire country knows the truth and hundreds of refugees have already received citizenship. No one has been deprived of anything, rather, they have been honored as children of Maa Bharti by granting them citizenship. No authority within the nation can hinder the Matua community from obtaining citizenship. This right is bestowed upon them by our Constitution and neither TMC nor any other force can weaken Modi's determination in this regard.

 

Shri Modi emphasized that his priority lies in empowering women. This is why he is providing pucca houses to the underprivileged, specifically in the names of women. The provision of housing extends beyond mere walls, it includes essential amenities such as water, electricity, toilets, subsidized gas cylinders, Nal se Jal, free food grains and healthcare, significantly benefiting women. Now women do not have to worry about rice and Modi will keep providing free rice for the next 5 years.  Water access to 12 crore families nationwide has been facilitated, yet in Bengal, people are compelled to consume acidic water. Another Modi ki Guarantee will make the public’s electricity bill zero and for this PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana has been started. The Modi government will give ₹75 thousand to the families taking advantage of this to install solar panels on the roofs of their houses. The government will buy the excess electricity produced and that will help in the public’s income. Modi introduced the RERA law to curb arbitrary actions by builders, but in Bengal, the land is being handed over to the mafia and construction is happening in violation of regulations. Today, there are about 6 crore people in our country whose age is above 70 years. There are many such elderly people here in Bengal too and Modi has decided that all such people will get free treatment facilities up to ₹5 lakhs but the TMC government is not allowing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to be implemented in West Bengal. Every vote in favour of the BJP will put pressure on TMC to join this scheme.

 

Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that the nation has decided to establish the Modi government. Shri Modi appealed to the people to ensure the victory of BJP candidates by pressing the 'Lotus' symbol by a significant margin and to re-establish the Modi government nationwide.
