Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji addressed public meetings in Mayurbhanj, Balasore and Kendrapada in Odisha on Wednesday. Shri Modi voiced concerns about transparency and corruption regarding Shri Ratnabhandar's management, He highlighted the Modi government’s welfare-centric initiatives. During the event, Union Minister and Balasore Lok Sabha candidate Shri Pratap Singh Sarangi, Kendrapada Lok Sabha candidate Shri Baijant Jai Panda, Mayurbhanj Lok Sabha candidate Shri Navacharan Manjhi, Bhadrak Lok Sabha representative Shri Abhimanyu Sethi, among other Odisha assembly election’s candidates were present.
Shri Modi commenced his address by seeking the blessings of Maa Kichweshwari. Shri Modi also paid homage to Maharaja Shri Ramachandra Bhanj Deo and Pandit Raghunath Murmu. Hon’ble Prime Minister remarked that after five decades, the nation has resolved to form a government with a clear majority for the third consecutive time. The progress that the public did not witness for decades, they have observed in the past ten years. In 2014, India stood as the 11th largest economy, today, it has ascended to become the fifth largest economic power globally.
Shri Modi highlighted that prior to 2014, only 40% of India's villages had sanitation coverage, but now the nation is striving towards achieving 100% coverage. Formerly, only about half of the population had LPG connections, but now nearly 100% households, particularly women, have been liberated from smoke. Before 2014, over 75% of rural Indian families lacked access to Nal se Jal. Presently, Nal se Jal reaches nearly 75% of households. The concept of free grains and dignity was unimaginable before. Today, 80 crore people have received free grains, a provision that will continue for the next five years. All of this serves as just trailers.
Hon’ble Prime Minister emphasized that in the forthcoming five years, India will achieve remarkable milestones in its development. Over this period, India is set to become the world's third-largest economic powerhouse. The emergence of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ in various sectors, will be witnessed. The next five years will witness a comprehensive transformation of highways, expressways and railways. The direct beneficiaries of this transformation will include regions like eastern India.
Shri Modi mentioned that Odisha had decided to put a full stop to the 25-year rule of the BJD. He expressed his purpose of seeking the blessings of the people and extending an invitation to the public as well. On June 10, the BJP's Chief Minister of Odisha would be sworn in. Today, all of Odisha is saying, “Odishar Mukhyamantri Odia Habe”. “Duyi Thar Padam, Duyi Gun Vikas”. From every corner of Odisha, one constant thing is heard, “Odisha Loko chahati, Modi Guarantee”.
Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that the land of Mayurbhanj is a land of women empowerment. Previously, the glory of Mayurbhanj was celebrated because only women pulled the chariot of Maa Subhadra, but now a daughter of Mayurbhanj is leading a nation of 140 crore people. President Smt Droupadi Murmu commands all three branches of the armed forces of the country. This is a matter of pride for the ‘Nari Shakti’ of Mayurbhanj, Odisha and the entire country. Ten years ago, people thought it was impossible to stop scams. The BJP has governed for 10 years without any scandals. Ten years ago, it seemed that terrorism could not be controlled. We have freed the major cities of the country from bomb blasts. No one had imagined that peace would be established in Jammu and Kashmir. The BJP has dismantled the barrier of Article 370. Today, there is record voting happening there. Many Ram devotees and volunteers who had once lost hope of a Mandir in Ayodhya have seen that their 500-year wait has come to an end. Ram Lalla has moved from a tent to his Bhavya Mandir.
Shri Modi emphasized that the BJP government is dedicated to the pride and welfare of the tribal community, working with devotion. It was the Late Shri Atal Bihar Vajpayee Ji’s government that established a separate Tribal Ministry and the BJP included the Santali language in the eighth schedule. Hon’ble Shri Modi ji highlighted that he has been the first Prime Minister who visited the village of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. It is the Modi government that declared Bhagwan Birsa Munda's birth anniversary as ‘National Tribal Pride Day’. The Modi government increased the budget for tribal welfare fivefold. For the most backwards, PM Jan Man Yojana worth ₹24,000 crore has been introduced for the first time. Under this scheme, there will be solid houses, schools, hospitals, roads and all these works for the extremely backward tribal communities in Odisha as well.
Hon’ble Prime Minister highlighted that in the past decade, the government has established a considerable network of Eklavya Residential Schools in tribal regions. Multiple Eklavya Residential Schools are currently functioning in Mayurbhanj as well. There is significant discussion about the Subhadra Yojana of the Odisha BJP, under which women will be provided assistance. Another Modi ki Guarantee is to make three crore women beneficiaries of the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, which is set to directly benefit lakhs of women in Odisha. Additionally, the Modi government has initiated the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana to make the public's electricity bills zero. Families taking advantage of this scheme will receive ₹75,000 to install solar panels on their rooftops, with the excess electricity produced being purchased by the government, thereby boosting the public's income.
Shri Modi emphasized the significant involvement of numerous families in the region in forest produce-related activities like sal leaves, sabai grass and tendu patta. The Odisha BJP has pledged to ensure the purchase of tendu patta at two rupees per carry and to provide a bonus. Upon the BJP's governance in Odisha, farmers in the state will be guaranteed an MSP of ₹3,100 per quintal for paddy. The Modi government's Van Dhan Yojana will also be effectively implemented in Odisha once the BJP government comes into power. For 25 years, people had placed their trust in the BJD, but they have broken that trust. The BJD government introduced a law to grab the land of tribal people. Under pressure from the BJP, the BJD had to repeal that law. This time, given the opportunity, the BJD will not refrain from grabbing the land of tribals. The BJD has looted the mineral resources of the state. Modi, through the District Mineral Fund, has given thousand crores of rupees to Odisha, but the BJD has indulged in corruption even in this scheme. The money looted from Odisha is being hidden abroad by BJD members, but Modi will recover it all. This is Modi's guarantee: "Jisne Janta Ko Loota Hai, Use Lautana Hi Padega." And those who have looted will spend their lifetime in jail. There can be no sympathy for those who have plundered the public. The nation wants to know where the keys to the Shri Ratna Bhandar went and whose name appeared in the investigation report. I assure my fellow Odias that the BJP government will reveal what the BJD government is hiding.

The well-wishers of Navin Patnaik have expressed their inability to help themselves and some close associates suspect foul play behind his deteriorating health. There might be a possibility that the lobby enjoying power behind Navin Babu is involved in this mystery. It is necessary to unveil this mystery. After the formation of the BJP government in Odisha after June 10, a special committee will be set up by the BJP government in Odisha to investigate why Navin Patnaik's health is deteriorating suddenly. Hon’ble Prime Minister stated that the BJD government neglected the needs of fishermen, despite the vast market for fish in Odisha. The infrastructure for the fishing industry is inadequate. The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana will greatly benefit fishermen. The BJP government has taken significant steps to support fishermen, including establishing a dedicated ministry for fisheries and increasing fishermen's insurance from ₹2 lakh to ₹5 lakh. Over the next five years, the fisheries sector will experience significant strengthening under BJP leadership. The BJP has promised to provide ₹10,000 to fishermen. Meanwhile, BJD leaders who once could not afford a bicycle now own expensive cars. They have even committed scams within farmers' cooperative societies. BJD leaders have fraudulently taken loans in the name of farmers.
Shri Modi said that ten years ago, news from India was dominated by the world's biggest scams, but over the past decade, the news has shifted to the world's largest and tallest constructions. Today, India is home to the world's tallest statue, the Statue of Unity, the largest office building, one of Asia's largest sea bridges, the Atal Setu and one of the world's highest tunnels, the Atal Tunnel. In the last ten years, the BJP government has built a new Parliament House and dedicated it to the nation. The government also created the National War Memorial to honor the nation's martyrs.
