Salient points of speech of Hon’ble BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda while addressing Professionals’ Meet in Davangere, Karnataka
● The Narendra Modi Government is a pro-responsive, proactive, responsible and accountable government. Our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has ended the culture of vote bank politics by establishing the politics of development and report card.
● The Congress party has been pursuing and promoting the politics of 'divide and rule' where it always pits one caste against another, one religion against another, one region against another, and one brother against another. Whereas our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is ensuring empowerment and prosperity of every citizen irrespective of caste and religion.
● The Congress party has become synonymous with commission, corruption and casteism. Whereas the Bharatiya Janata Party led by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji works for all sections of our society on mission mode. The Bharatiya Janata Party is known for service, good governance, welfare of the poor and politics of development.
● The Basavraj Bommai government in the state has kept the target of bringing Rs 9 lakh crores of investment through the Global Investors Summit. Karnataka is the top state in bringing FDI in the country. Recently our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji had inaugurated various development projects worth over Rs 33,000 crores in the state.
● India under the leadership and guidance of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has become the fifth largest economy in the world in the past eight years leaving Britain behind. In December also over 782 crore UPI transactions worth Rs 13 lakh crores took place in the country which shows how India has emerged as the leading digital economy in the world.
● In the defence sector Karnataka has around 70 per cent share in helicopter and aircraft manufacturing in the country. In a major achievement 100 percent electrification of Konkan railway has been accomplished. The Narendra Modi Government has allocated over Rs 1,000 crores in the Devangere smart city.
● All the villages across the country are being connected with optical fibre. In 2014, India had just 350 kms long optical fibre, but under the Narendra Modi Government over 2.18 lakh km long optical fibre has been deployed in rural areas across the country.
● In steel manufacturing India used to be in fourth position globally, but today we are in second position. In 2014 India used to import 92 percent of mobiles being used in the country, but today India is manufacturing 97 per cent of its mobiles while our mobile exports are also rising fast.
● Under the leadership of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji India is getting established as the global startup hub. Today India has over 100 Unicorns, and out of these 40 are from Karnataka alone.
● The new National Education Policy was first implemented in Karnataka. Under the Narendra Modi Government there has been a 106 percent increase in chemical production and 334 per cent increase in exports of defence equipment.
● India earlier had 16 IITs, but under the Narendra Modi Government there are 23 IITs. India is also opening IITs overseas in UAE, UK, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Thailand, Egypt and Qatar. Earlier there were 723 universities, but today India has 1043 universities, which reflects the commitment of the Narendra Modi Government towards higher education.
● Post-Independence, the Congress party ruled the country for over 50 years but could open just one AIIMS. It is under our beloved leader and former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji that six new AIIMs were opened and now under the leadership and guidance of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji in the past eight years 16 new AIIMS have been dedicated to the people across the country. Today there are 23 AIIMS in the country.
