Press Statement by Senior BJP Leader, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad

Senior BJP leader Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, held a press conference in the BJP central office today and hit back at Rahul Gandhi for baseless and false accusations on the prime minister the allegations were collared with malafide, baseless, untrue and shameful.

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad said that we understand the problem of Rahul Gandhi, they are losers and are desperate. He said the people of the country defeated congress first in the Lok Sabha elections, the then in several state assembly elections and now the people of this country do not even consider congress worth of Municipalities. He said that congress has been eliminated in the Gujarat civic polls, then Maharashtra and Rajasthan they were defeated badly and was completely eliminated in Chandigarh yesterday. He said that repeatedly Rahul Gandhi during his leadership is defeating party time and again, so they are desperate, so Rahul Gandhi is angry and therefore, making baseless statements.

Hitting back at Rahul Gandhi, Shri Prasad said that the names of congress leaders are coming in the corruption case of Agusta-Westland, his family name is coming, because of which Rahul Gandhi is so upset about. He Said that, in the continuing investigation of Agusta-Westland case, names of his family are revealed frequently and corruption has reached to his family, therefore, Rahul Gandhi in order to distract the people of the country is making baseless statement.

Shri Prasad said that Rahul Gandhi himself is on bail in serious cheating and fraud case of National Herald worth 5000 crores. He said Rahul Gandhi himself is on bail of the big case of cheating and fraud and is accusing Shri Narendra Modi falsely, untrue and without any base, the person who during two and years of his rule has been running the country in an absolutely honest manner has a clean image. He said that Congress history is full of corruption and they protect those who rob the country. Congress government during his rule did not abandon any part of the earth – congress did the scams from space to underneath earth.

Shri Prasad while questioning Rahul Gandhi said during the 10-years of Sonia Gandhi-Manmohan Singh government he was more powerful than Manmohan Singh, then why he did not speak about these scams? He said the Congress government minister were proposing the theory of zero-loss, they were not admitted scam then why Rahul Gandhi remained silent, while the Modi government has earned Rs 1,10,000 crore from the spectrum auction and three lakh crore from the auction of coal blocks.

Senior BJP leader said that, people have now started to think about Rahul Gandhi one thing that ge does not think before he speaks and nor after he speak.. He said that Rahul Gandhi once tore the government ordinance and termed i nonsense, why was he silent when congress party was looting the public hard-earned money with both hands, and then why Rahul Gandhi remained silent? He said that when Robert Vadra in Haryana and Rajasthan pressurised the government run by the Congress to earn millions and billions, Why did he then did not say anything? He said that a person whose full personality is culmination of the integrity, how can he allege such a Prime Minister of the country, he seems to be annoyed and frustrated. He said that the people of this country are not listening to Rahul Gandhi. He said that, I am proud of my Prime Minister as banning of notes is a historical step in the direction of making India free from black-money and corruption.

Shri Prasad said that the Rahul Gandhi's baseless allegations will never be believed by public, making the baseless and false allegations have become the habit of Gandhi's. He said the biggest benefactors of corruption Rahul Gandhi, who served for 10 years for shielding the party, what else can we expect from him. He said that the Supreme Court has given three times their observations on the media which has appeared in media many times. He said that neither doing his homework nor ever making understand the subject seriously and allegations born out of annoyance is the politics of Rahul Gandhi. He said that people of this country have stopped giving TRP to Rahul Gandhi.

Shri Prasad said that we have confidence in the people, the people will reject such baseless allegations, and certainly such false allegations will continue to get response through the public vote. In reply to a question he said, we are ready to discuss any issue in the House, but congress has been always taking shelter of the false accusations continuously for stalling the Parliament proceedings.
