Condolence message by Hon'ble BJP National President Shri J.P. Nadda on the demise of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar ji

 

The death of legendary singer, India's Nightingale, Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar is tragic and a big loss for every Indian. I am deeply saddened by the death of Lata Mangeshkar who ruled the hearts of every Indian. It is also a big loss for the entire art world. It is an irreparable loss for our country and her fans across the world.

 

I am deeply pained by the news of the melodious voice going silent. Lata Didi was the voice of our nation, she was the legend. Lata Didi was an inspiration for generations of singers. A very gentle and generous personality, Lata Didi was a true patriot. She always inspired and motivated people to do good for the nation and the society. Her demise has left a big void in the country which will never be filled.

 

Lata Didi sang more than 50,000 songs in 36 languages, which is a record. She also gave her voice in over 1,000 movies. Singing and music without her voice is unimaginable. Lata Didi started singing at a very young age of 13. In 2001 Lata Didi was given India's highest civilian award 'Bharat Ratna'. She was also awarded Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Dada Saheb Phalke Award. For her melodious singing Lata Didi was awarded several national awards. Lata Didi will always remain in our hearts, she will always live with us through her songs.

 

I pray to God to give strength to her family and her crores of fans to bear this irreparable loss. I offer my heartfelt condolences and tributes on behalf of crores of Bharatiya Janata Party workers to the departed soul, our beloved Lata Didi. Om Shanti!
