Salient points of Press Conference of Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha President and Member of Parliament Smt. Poonam Mahajan
National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and Member of Parliament Smt. Poonam Mahajan, addressed a press conference at the party headquarter today and attacked Trinamool Congress government led by Mamata Banerjee, calling her 'U-turn didi’ over the killing of democracy, injustice to youth, crime against women, poor law and order in the state and her anti-national remarks over NRC. She also discussed about the preparations for proposed unprecedented rally “Chalo Kolkata” being organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Mayo Road of the city on August 11. It is to be noted that the National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Shri Amit Shah Ji will address the Rally and take a dig against Trinamool government over ‘murder of democracy’ in the state.
Calling Mamata Banerjee as 'U-turn didi', Smt. Mahajan said that it is very suitable for Mamata Didi because, at times, she has been seen taking U-turn in her ideologies, statements and working style. She said that on one hand on the issue of NRC, Mamata Banerjee was very aggressive against foreign infiltrators in 2005 in Parliament while she is advocating infiltrators now-a-days. Even “U-turn didi” is now threatening ‘Civil War’ against the implementation of NRC in the country. It is very anti-national remark and we condemn it.
The national president of Yuva Morcha said that the Trinamool Congress government led by Mamta Banerjee is murdering the democracy in West Bengal. She said that the manner in which Mamata government insulted democracy in the recently concluded local body elections in West Bengal, we strongly condemn it. She said that the Hon'ble Supreme Court also had to pass strong comment against Trinamool government on this issue. Those who fought against TMC, were killed by Trinamool goons and many are getting life threats.
She said that even after the elections were over, our Karyakarytas who won election, are getting life threats. They are being beaten openly and no action is being taken by state government. Referring to the killing of more than 25 BJP Yuva Morcha Karyakartas, she said that our karyakartas are constantly being tortured. In the most adversity and adverse conditions, our karyakartas are fighting with anti-social elements of Trinamool Congress in a democratic way for the betterment of the West Bengal. She said that recently an attempt was made by Trinamool goons to hang a young karyakarta of BJYM ‘Sandesh Mahiti’ who were preparing for proposed rally. Somehow saved by his villagers, Shri Sandesh is still swinging between life and death in the hospital. She said that in almost all such cases, the state administration remains completely silent and does not take any action. We strongly condemn these inhuman and brutal incidents done by Trinamool Congress workers.
Smt. Poonam Mahajan said that the financial condition of West Bengal is very pathetic. In NREGA, the state is at 23rd place among the list of 29 states in the country. Unemployment in the state is at peak. Not only that, the Student Union of Trinamool Congress is working to ruin the future of youth also. She said, recently in an another sting operation in West Bengal, it is clearly visible that how the student wing of the Trinamool Congress runs the Admission Racket in the state and rob thousands of student. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is working to expose Mamata government in the entire state; Our slogan is “Give employment, not Alms".
The National President of Yuva Morcha said that the crime against women in West Bengal is growing and growing under the patronage of Trinamool Congress especially against the families of BJP karyakartas. It is increasing at a very rapid speed. She said that I personally experienced the atrocities of Trinamool Congress workers against BJP karyakartas. I have not been allowed to hold rallies several times, there were death attacks on our karyakartas and the villagers were threatened.
Smt. Poonam Mahajan said that the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha was going to picket the West Bengal Assembly on August 3 as the session of the Legislative Assembly was to be held till August 06, but due to huge public support for Bharatiya Janata Party, Mamata Banerjee had to adjourn the session well before August 3. She said that the proposed “Chalo Kolkata” rally of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will decide the future of politics in West Bengal in which at least two lakh Yuva Morcha Karyakartas will participate and will become continuator of change in the state under the leadership of National President Shri Amit Shah Ji.
National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Shri Saurabh Chaudhary, National Secretary Shri Saurabh Sikdar, President of West Bengal Yuva Morcha Shri Debojit Sarkar and Shri Rohit Chahal, National Media Incharge of Yuva Morcha, were also present at the Press Conference.
