Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Amit Shah on Monday addressed a massive public meeting in Karnataka’s Gadag and attacked the Congress’ Siddaramaiah Government as it made people suffer due to its corrupt practices. He said that the people of Karnataka have decided to bring in BJP Government in the state under the Chief Ministership of Yeddyurappa with a colossal majority. Shri Shah also held road shows in Harpanahalli and Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituencies.
Shri Shah paid tribute to the legends of Karnataka Sahid Baba Sahe Bhave, Shri Jagganath Rao Joshi and said that it was the land of Nargunda where in 1857 the revolt against the British had begun while today the revolt against the corrupt government of Congress and Siddaramaiah is witnessing a start. He said that BJP will not just fight to defeat the Congress in Nargunda but rather to forfeit their deposits. Rahul Gandhi has already accepted the defeat of the Congress as he has planned to go to Mansarowar following the Karnataka Assembly elections for atonement of his party's misgovernance in Karnataka.

He said that the people and party who cannot respect Vande Mataram cannot do welfare of the country and people of Karnataka will teach the Congress party a strong lesson.
Shri Shah said that Rahul Gandhi thinks that Siddaramaiah will save the Congress party from getting defeated. But, I want to ask how can a person running away from his own seat save the party. He said that Siddaramaiah was contesting elections from Badami, which he will certainly lose as the people of Karnataka won’t forgive him for his sins.
The BJP President said that over 24 BJP & RSS workers were brutally murdered during the tenure of Siddaramaiah Government. However, the Congress government did not take action against any of the culprits. I want to say this to Siddaramaiah that once the BJP Government comes to the power on May 15th, it will put all the culprits behind the bars and ensure that they are punished in the most stringent way as per law.
Shri Shah said that due to fear of defeat, Shri Siddaramaiah has even compromised and colluded with anti-national forces. He said that the Congress was not ashamed of taking support of groups such as SDPI and PFI while the JD (S) has taken the support of Owaisi. He asked the people of Karnataka that how can a party taking the support of communal forces improve law and order in the state. Shri Shah said that it was the Congress which had handed over the entire state in the hands of Mafia and therefore can never think of the welfare of the party.
Shri Shah reiterated that Siddaramaiah Government was anti-farmer and over 3,500 farmers had committed suicide due to the anti-farmers policies of the Congress Government in Karnataka. How can a Chief Minister sleep during such a situation and be ignorant about the issue. However, Siddaramaiah was completely unconcerned and unmoved after the farmers' plight.
Shri Shah has assured the people of Karnataka that within six months of Government formation, the BJP will make the water of Mahadayi river available for irrigation to the lands of Karnataka. He said that within 10 days of the Government formation, loan of upto Rs 1 lakh taken by the farmers will be waived off. With the policy worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore, Yeddyurappa Government will ensure irrigation facilities for every agricultural land of Karnataka. Shri Shah said that BJP is pro-farmer and has taken initiatives to improve the quality of life of farmers by increasing the MSP by 1.5 times.
Shri Shah said that after forming the Government, BJP Government will give smart phones, to women from the BPL category and laptops to the college going students.
Shri Shah said that Congress’s Siddaramaiah Government tops in corruption in the entire country. While the Karnataka’s farmers are being compelled to commit suicide, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was wearing Rs 40 lakh watch and roaming around with corruption charges as medals. Stating that the Congress Government is not known for welfare of women, farmers or setting up industries, but the Siddaramaiah government was known for taking 10 % commission. Shri Shah appealed to the people to vote for the BJP and bring it to power so that the Yeddyurappa and Shri Narendra Modi together can make Karnataka as a top developed state in the country.
