Shri Amit Shah on Wednesday garlanded the statue of Lord Basaveshwara, and paid tributes to him and his noble works. He said that even after thousand years the works and words of Mahatma Basaveshwara continued to illuminate the life of people. Earlier during the day, Shri Shah also visited the houses of two luminaries in Bengaluru’s Vijayanagar and Rajaji Nagar to know about their opinion about the manifesto.

Shri Shah addressed convention of Sakthi-Kendra Pramukh of 28 constituencies of Bengaluru division today at Gayatri Vihar, Palace Ground, Bengaluru. On the occasion, BJP National President Shri Amit Shah demanded an apology from the Congress President Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders of Congress for terming the Mecca Masjid blast as act of 'Saffron Terror' and framing innocents in the case. Shri Shah said that if Congress leaders themselves do not apologise then the people of Karnataka will compel them to apologise.

Shri Shah said it is the Congress who deliberately highlighted the case as Hindu terror in the entire world. However, it is the court that observed there was no evidence against the accused, and therefore acquitted the innocents. For so many years, Congress maligned Hindus and the nation by refering it  as Saffron terror,” said Shri Shah.

Stressing that Terror has no religion, Shri Shah said, “Let me tell you that terror has no religion and Rahul Gandhi should apologise on the matter.  Now, the congress is denying calling the incident as saffron terror. But let me remind you that Rahul Gandhi on July 20, 2010 said it to the American Ambassador which was revealed by Wikileaks in December 2013, it was followed by Sushil Kumar Shinde who said it on January 20, 2013, Salman Khurshid said it on January 22, 2013 and Digvijay Singh said it multiple times while Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said it on January 10, 2018.”

Asking that how can one associate Hinduism with terror, Shri Shah said that Hinduism delivers the message of peace to the entire world. The Congress has committed the sin, P. Chidambaram, Rahul Gandhi should apologise.

On the occasion, Shri Shah also credited the party’s booth Karyakartas for the its win in all the states till now.

I want to tell that since 2014 which ever state the BJP has formed its government is entirely because of the hard work and dedication of booth karyakartas and no one else. States where BJP had no major presence such as Tripura with just 1.2% vote and 0 seat, followed by Manipur with 3.5 % vote with 0 seat, Assam with only 4 seat now have BJP governments.

Shri Shah said that the only reason BJP could form its government in these states was because of the dedication and devotion of booth Karyakartas. Despite not naming any leader during elections in these states, BJP emerged victorious was due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hard work of booth Karyakartas.

“It is only the BJP where the son of a tea seller can become the prime minister while a booth karyakarta can become the party president. As part of this Vijay Yatra, we won many states and now the BJP’s juggernaut of victory has reached Karnataka,” said Shri Shah.

Noting that BJP’s victory in Karnataka won’t be a normal victory, Shri Shah said that it will be the gateway to BJP’s win in southern India such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

“Not just that, BJP’s win in Karnataka is also important for the people to help them get rid of deteoriating law and order, poor infrastructure due to the Congress government,” said Shah.

Shri Shah on the occasion also highlighted the suicides of over 3500 farmers due to the wrong policies of the Siddaramaiah government in the last five years.

Shri Shah highlighted that deaths of farmers was extremely less in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh where the BJP has been in power for many terms.

I can confidently say that these states have the lowest number of farmer’s death. Congress ruled Maharastra for 15 years during which the suicide of farmers soared up. However, since the BJP government came in power four years back there has been 30% decline in the farmer’s death, clearly showing that wherever the BJP comes in power leads to decline in farmer’s death.

Referring to multiple cases of corruption during the Congress’ Siddaramaiah government, Shri Shah said that if he starts reading the list of corruption during Siddaramaiah government than it would require to organise the 7 day long event and still it won’t get over.

Shri Shah also pointed out the inaction of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during the murder of over 24 BJP party workers and crime against women apart from several other cases.

“If Congress wants to suppress BJP through means of violence than, as the Party President, let me make it clear that once the BJP government is formed in Karnataka all the culprits will be sent to prison and punished as they have killed the innocents. What was the fault of BJP Karyakartas, “said Shri Shah.

Shri Shah, who will be in Karnataka for a couple of days, stated that how could Siddaramaiah demand a report on what Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has done for Karnataka in the last four  years when he himself has done nothing for the state.

“I want to tell you that though I will give the list of good initiatives taken by BJP for Karnataka, but what has the Congress and his four generations done for Karnataka. Narendra Modi has done more work than the four generations of Congress,” said Shri Shah.

Shri Shah informed the people of Bengaluru that during the 13th Finance Commission, under the Sonia –Manmohan's UPA government, Karnataka used to get Rs 88,583 crore and when the 14TH Finance Commission came under the Modi government than Karnataka got Rs 2,19,506 crore.

“I want to ask where has Rs 2,19,506 crore gone. You (Siddaramaiah) kept on sleeping and did nothing. Where is the job for unemployed, why houses did not get 24 hours electricity, why there was no irrigation facilities for farmer’s lands. What did you do,” asked Shri Shah.

Apart from the money from the finance commission, BJP government at the Centre gave Karnataka 39,000 crore for the Mudra Yojna, 960 crore for the Smart City project, 4,935 crore for the Amrut Mission, 204 crore for the Swachh  Bharat Mission, Rs 239 crore for Urban Transportation,  Rs 2,617 crore for Bengaluru Metro,  Rs 209 for Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana, Rs 405 crore for Pradhan Mantri Sinchai (Irrigation)Yojana, Rs 290 crore for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Rs 27, 482 crore and Rs 2,197 crore for Roads and Railways respectively.

In total 80,000 crore for various projects have been given by the BJP government," he said

Shri Shah also pointed out that to give a befitting reply to the Congress government our booth Karyakartas will go doors to doors and expose Siddaramaiah government .

Shri Shah at the beginning of the programme highlighted on the contributions made by Lord Basaveshwara, and said that while there was competition among many small countries of the world over establishment of democracy, India does not have to get into this as the setup of first parliament system was done by Lord Basaveshwara in 12th century.

“To eliminate various evils from the society, Mahatma Basveshwara sacrificed his life. Education was earlier confined to only particular class. However, the work of spreading it among all other sections of the society was done by Lord Basaveshwara,” said Shri Shah.

Shri Shah said that while in the west, people talked of making Right to Education as a Fundamental right, they were not aware that it was done by Lord Basaveshwara some 12th century.
