In a gruesome incident, an 18 year old college student, Nido Tania, from Arunachal Pradesh has allegedly been beaten to death during an altercation with some shopkeepers in Lajpat Nagar area of the national capital.

Sri Sunil Deodhar, the National Convener of BJP North East India Sampark Cell, expressed deep shock over the incident. He condemned the act in strong words and said that in India, which is a huge country with a glorious, diverse and a rich heritage, this kind of completely and utterly barbaric act has no place.

He said that the people of Delhi and North East have deep routed cordial relations which should not be hurt by this kind of heinous act by some unruly persons. He said in our great country, lots of different religions, cultures, traditions, customs and languages stand alongside, but the overall and unique feeling of  “being an Indian” unites all inhabitants. Sri Deodhar made an appeal to the people of North East to not give this incident a racist colour.

He made a strong appeal to Sri Arvind Kejriwal to take a serious action against the people who are responsible for the crime.

Sri Sunil Deodhar has demanded a thorough probe of this brutal act and has demanded the strictest action against the attackers as well as the police at the earliest.
