BJYM launches dialogues on govt’s policies, vision, governance

 

New Delhi, April 8, 2022:BJYM has initiated a new talk series wherein youth from across the country will get to interact directly  with the top ministers/leaders and understand first-hand the nitty gritties of policy making. This is aimed at fostering PM Modi’s vision of 21^st century New India and indulging the youth directly into nation building. These dialogues have the potential to prepare leaders for the future who can contribute effectively to policy making from ground-up.

 

These sessions will include chat discussions with central and state government ministers, policy think tank heads, top national and international scholars from academia amongst other luminaries from the policy making field. BJYM is happy to provide this platform to the youth of the nation and help the country in reaping its demographic dividend through such novel initiatives.

 

In the inaugural session of these dialogues, union finance minister Srimati Nirmala Sitharaman engaged with 30 young, dynamic young Indians and talked to them on various policy related and personal topics. The topics she addressed included Modinomics, COVID approach of the finance ministry, employment, startups, digital economy, digital rupee, future of India’s economic growth, big challenges facing the country, favorite books, defense to finance experience and her experience of leading the finance ministry since 2019. Many of the discussion topics were sourced from across the country by BJYM. BJYM had floated a form before the session to facilitate curious citizens in asking their questions directly from the finance minister.

 

BJYM thanks the honorable minister for her valuable time and insights. BJYM also appreciates the vigor with which people participated and sent thousands of questions for the FM. BJYM shall continue this endeavor of connecting people with their leaders through these policy dialogues and with its other initiatives that it constantly keeps bringing in the service of the nation.

 

BJYM national president shri tejasvi surya said-“India is the country with the largest youth population in the world and that is why it is imperative to include the expectations and aspirations of the youth while making the policy of the country.Dialogue is a powerful medium for reconciling democracy and realizing the vision of inclusive development.With this initiative, the youth will get an opportunity to become a participant in the policy making process of the country.Also they will get an opportunity to learn from the knowledge, experience and guidance of learned senior leaders that will help them to have a better understanding of the decisions being taken in the interest of the country and the decisions which are to be taken in future.This initiative is an interactive forum and not just a platform to broadcast the wisdom behind government policies. The rationale behind this dialogue forum is to devise an informal channel to make process of country’s policy making process more democratic and inclusive.“
