Former AICC National Secretary Shri Tajinder Singh Bittu and Smt Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary joined the Bharatiya Janata Party

 

Former AICC Secretary Shri Tajinder Singh Bittu and Former Congress leader Smt Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary joined the Bharatiya Janata Party at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi, on Friday. During the event, BJP National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde, Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, National Media Co-Head Dr. Sanjay Mayukh, Punjab BJP General Secretary Shri Subhash Sharma, BJP RajyaSabha MP Shri Harsh Mahajan and Jalandhar MP Shri Sushil Kumar Rinku were present.

 

Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw welcomed Shri Tajinder Singh Bittu and Smt Karamjit Kaur into the BJP. Shri Vaishnaw noted that PM Shri Narendra Modi has presented a new model of development across various regions and aspects of life in the country. It has brought about a surge of enthusiasm and confidence among political figures nationwide. Shri Vaishnaw emphasized that the progress made in the last 10 years has surpassed that of the previous 60 years, renewing faith in the entire political system. This new confidence has motivated many well-meaning individuals from other parties, who share a passion for India's advancement, to join the BJP.

 

BJP National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde extended warm welcomes to SmtKaramjit Kaur and Shri Tajinder Singh Bittu into the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shri Tawde mentioned that Smt Karamjit Kaur contested the 2023 Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-elections. Shri Tawde emphasized that today, Smt Kaur has joined the BJP to advance the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Tawde also noted that former AICC Secretary Shri Tajinder Singh Bittu, who managed multiple states including Rae Bareilly in Congress, played an important role there. Shri Bittu has now joined the journey towards ‘Viksit Bharat’ under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi.

 

Smt Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary expressed her gratitude towards PM Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, and all the present leaders for instilling trust in the people of Punjab through their selfless service for almost a century. SmtKaramjit Kaur stated that Congress has openly disregarded the sacrifice of her late husband, and the party's top leadership needs to reflect on its approach. She pledged to contribute to the nation's interests under the guidance of BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, fully believing in Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.

 

Shri Tajinder Singh Bittu conveyed gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda. Shri Bittu stated that he joined the BJP inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's commitment of nationwide development. He expressed that under Congress rule, Punjab regressed in every aspect, but he believes only PM Shri Narendra Modi can advance the state. Shri Tajinder pledged to contribute to the construction of ‘Viksit Bharat’ under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's leadership and the guidance of BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda.
