Former Congress Leader and Sportsperson Shri Vijender Singh has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of BJP National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde, BJP MLA and Lok Sabha candidate Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Senior BJP Leader Shri Rajiv Babbar and BJP National Media Co-Head Shri Sanjay Mayukh at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday.

 

BJP National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde questioned Rahul Gandhi's and Congress' support for SDPI in Wayanad. Shri Tawde highlighted concerns about Congress' alignment with groups linked to terrorism and anti-national activities, citing instances like the resolution supporting a bomb blast convict in Kerala Assembly. Shri Tawde questioned if SDPI fits into Rahul Gandhi's "Mohabbat ki dukaan". He highlighted the contradiction within the ‘Ghamandia alliance’ where parties organize rallies together but their leaders contest against each other, such as CPI against Rahul Gandhi in Kerala or TMC against them in West Bengal. Shri Tawde questioned whether it's truly an alliance or a disunion, calling for Rahul Gandhi to address this inconsistency.

 

Shri Vinod Tawde pointed out that Congress advertisements lack pictures of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, or Rahul Gandhi. Shri Tawde questioned whether the absence of their pictures indicates fear within the party that their presence might lead to fewer votes. Shri Vinod Tawde warmly welcomed Shri Vijender Singh into the Bharatiya Janata Party, acknowledging his esteemed career. Shri Tawde emphasized Shri Vijender Singh's alignment with Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat' and stated that BJP will harness his capabilities across various states. Shri Singh's addition will bolster the party, facilitating its progress towards its objectives.

 

Former Congress Leader Shri Vijender Singh expressed gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, and BJP National President Shri JP Nadda for the opportunity to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shri Vijender Singh expressed pleasure in rejoining the party and praised the increased respect for athletes on the world stage during the Modi government's tenure. Shri Singh affirmed his commitment to working diligently for public welfare.
