Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Dr. Syed Zafar Islam addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the conference, Dr Islam highlighted that according to provisional data released by the Reserve Bank of India on July 8, India added 2.5 times more jobs in FY24, marking the highest increase since 1981-82. He commended the economic reforms initiated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji over the past decade, which have strengthened the economy and created job opportunities.

Dr. Syed Zafar Islam emphasized that despite deep darkness, there is no prohibition against lighting a lamp. He underscored that in 2014, India's economy was deemed fragile, but the radiance of 'Modinomics,' ignited by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has now spread globally. Dr Islam highlighted Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's pivotal role in bolstering the nation's economy during the elections from 2014 to 2019 and subsequently from 2019 to 2024.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Islam underscored that India witnessed a 2.5-fold increase in job additions during the financial year 2024 compared to the previous fiscal. According to data released by the Reserve Bank of India on July 8, 2024, India added a substantial 4 crore 67 lakh jobs. By the end of FY24, 64.3 crore people were actively employed, up from 59.7 crore in the preceding fiscal year, marking the highest job additions since 1981-82. The rate of growth is also six per cent, which is more than it has ever been in the past 30 years.

Dr. Islam emphasized that the Reserve Bank of India’s KLEMS database relies on the government’s periodic labour force survey for calculating employment statistics. According to RBI's report based on PLFS data from 2022-23, India’s unemployment rate fell to a historic low of 3.2 percent from 6.1 percent in 2017-18. Recent official employment data released by the government revealed that over 310 lakh individuals joined the formal workforce for the first time in FY24.

BJP National Spokesperson Dr Islam highlighted that during the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 elections, the BJP engaged with the public by presenting their performance reports. It's widely acknowledged that Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji considers all 140 crore Indians as his family and has tirelessly worked for their advancement and the nation's growth. Dr Islam emphasized India's GDP growth at 8.2% in FY 2023-24, up from 7% last year, reflecting a robust economic environment. He noted the RBI's bulletin showing a 20-month low of 7% in the national unemployment rate, driven by lower urban rates. The bulletin highlighted mixed labor market indicators, with slightly lower labor participation but increased employment rates compared to previous months.

Dr Syed Zafar Islam criticized the Congress for damaging the economy and neglecting employment from 2004 to 2014, accusing them of prioritizing their own families over national welfare. He praised Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji for his distinguished leadership in driving rapid economic progress. Dr. Islam emphasized that the BJP government remains dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of the youth, asserting that the BJP will continue to make decisions in the youth's interest and this is MODI'S GUARANTEE!
