Co-convenor of the BJP Manifesto Committee and Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal and BJP Manifesto Committee Member and BJP National General Secretary Shri Vinod Tawde addressed a joint press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Monday. During the conference, Shri Piyush Goyal provided details about the meeting chaired by Hon’ble Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh. Shri Goyal also mentioned that the party has received numerous suggestions from the public through various channels, which will be considered in preparing the party’s manifesto.

 

Union Minister and Co-convenor of the BJP Manifesto Committee, Shri Piyush Goyal announced that a meeting was convened at the Central Office of the Bharatiya Janata Party, chaired by the Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh. Eight Union Ministers, including the Defence Minister, along with Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav and other committee members and senior leaders, were in attendance. Shri Goyal stated that a productive meeting transpired today among officials and leaders, wherein all members provided valuable suggestions to Minister of Defence Shri Rajnath Singh on various topics, including the Bharatiya Janata Party's role in the roadmap towards ‘Viksit Bharat’.

 

Shri Piyush Goyal stated that crucial matters regarding the ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the third term of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi were deliberated upon. Previously, a total of 916 vans traversed the country for approximately 35 days, visiting over 500 assembly constituencies to gather suggestions from the populace. Shri Goyal stated, these vans conducted meetings with over 100 different prestigious communities, trade chambers, and intellectual organizations. Through these van visits, the party garnered thousands of suggestions, which senior party leaders have compiled. Furthermore, the Bharatiya Janata Party initiated a missed call campaign, resulting in approximately 3.75 lakh suggestions being received.

 

Shri Piyush Goyal highlighted that the NaMo App, widely utilized across the nation, has garnered approximately 170,000 suggestions, indicating significant public enthusiasm and optimism for the BJP's prospects, underlining the belief in 'Modi hai toh mumkin hai'. Shri Goyal emphasized that productive discussion ensued today, encompassing various topics based on the public’s suggestions. Taking into account perspectives from all segments of society and prioritizing national welfare, the committee has shortlisted suggestions for further deliberation and allotted some time for the process. Shri Goyal informed that the committee will reconvene in a few days, with each member presenting their perspectives on the selected suggestions. Shri Piyush Goyal stated that under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party meticulously addresses every concern, ensuring its inclusion in the party's manifesto. The finalized resolution letter will soon be presented to the nation, reflecting the party's commitment to addressing the needs of the people.
