SALIENT POINTS OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE BJP NATIONAL SPOKESPERSON DR SAMBIT PATRA HELD TODAY

 

Bharatiya Janata Party's National Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra addressed a press conference held at the party's central office today where he lashed out at Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's brazenness and Aam Aadmi Party's drama on liquor scam.

 

·        The way Manish Sisodia came in an open car, shouting slogans with his supporters, donning garlands, it seemed as if the Aam Aadmi Party has won the World Cup of Corruption. If the World Cup of Corruption is held today, the Aam Aadmi Party will surely win it.

 

·        When Rahul Gandhi was called for interrogation in the corruption case, the Congress party in the same manner had staged dharnas and demonstrations. First do corruption, and when you are called for interrogation you shamelessly celebrate it. It will not be an exaggeration to say that this is Jashn-e-Corruption for the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party.

 

·        Nowadays a new trend has started. When the corrupt are called for interrogation, they first go to Rajghat, as if they are about to start a satyagraha. The gimmicks of the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are of the same.

 

·        The kind of drama of the Aam Aadmi Party is being played out, we had seen similar scenes played out by Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party a few days ago. Going to Rajghat before interrogation -- it is nothing but an attempt to glorify corruption.

 

·        Nawab Malik, Satyendra Jain, Sanjay Raut - all these accused of corruption had left the house in the same way Manish Sisodia did today. Manish Sisodia did the same drama what Nawab Malik and Sanjay Raut did a few days ago.

 

·        Shockingly Arvind Kejriwal had demanded Bharat Ratna for Satyendra Jain. All of them are in jail till today not because of any investigative agency but because of their corruption and court's orders on their corruption.

 

·        Going to Rajghat before interrogation in the ‘No One is Accused’ in the liquor scam is also an insult and dishonour to Mahatma Gandhi and Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji, who died for the country. First Rahul Gandhi went there and now Manish Sisodia has done the same drama.

 

·        Aam Aadmi Party is such a big 'dramebaaz' party that those who came to fight against corruption, today it is standing as the most radically dishonest party. Manish Sisodia ji, you and Arvind Kejriwal ji together have earned big money in the liquor scam.

 

·        We had asked some questions to Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and the Aam Aadmi Party regarding the liquor scam but till date no one has bothered to answer them.

 

·        We had asked whether you awarded the contract to the blacklisted company after taking commission or not, you did not reply. The second question was whether it is illegal to introduce manufacturers into retail. Whether you did it or not, you didn't answer.

 

·        The third question was whether the revenue of Delhi was lost due to the liquor scam, you did not answer. We had asked that if the liquor policy was good, so why did you take it back in a hurry?

 

·        We had asked what was the reason that you waived Rs 144 crore of liquor traders when it was illegal. It was not even passed by the Cabinet.

 

·        Neither Arvind Kejriwal, nor Manish Sisodia nor the Aam Aadmi Party answered these important questions regarding the liquor scam. Arvind Kejriwal ji, Manish Sisodia ji, answer the questions related to your corruption, don't try to mislead or do unrelated talks.

 

·        Manish Sisodia ji, I want to ask that you are in the same party which had agitated against corruption along with Anna Hazare ji. Throughout India, you took a pledge that you will fight against corruption. What happened to your pledge?
