Salient Points of BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia’s Press Conference

The people of the country, especially in Haryana, are shocked and outraged because the ‘C’ in Congress has now transformed from standing for ‘Corruption’ and ‘Confusion’ to ‘Cocaine Congress.

******************

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is determined to create a ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Drug-Free India) by dismantling the entire drug network, regardless of the political position or stature of the drug traffickers.

******************

A Congress official has been arrested in connection with a drug case, leading to public praise for the actions taken by the police. The BJP is committed to preventing drug addiction among the youth and countering the influence of the "Cocaine Congress."

******************

Why are Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi, and Bhupinder Hooda silent about the key accused in the ₹5,600 crore drug haul case?

******************

The Congress party seems willing to jeopardize the lives of the youth in Haryana and across the country. However, the BJP will not allow this to happen.

******************

Is there any morality left in Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge? They appear intoxicated by power, while the youth of Haryana and Punjab are being manipulated.

******************

The Congress party’s attempt to use its political influence to drag the youth into drug addiction will not be tolerated by the Modi government.

******************

The primary objective of the Congress party appears to be enjoying power and promoting the Gandhi family.

******************

The Congress party must provide answers to these crucial questions: Why does it continue to harbor individuals with questionable characters, such as corrupt leaders, womanizers, and drug dealers? Can they not find people of integrity? Is there no background verification process in place?

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Friday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia criticized the Congress, stating that the ‘C’ in Congress now stands for ‘Cocaine,’ accusing the party of trying to involve the youth in drugs. However, the BJP, along with Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, remains committed to creating a 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' (Drug-Free India) and will not allow Congress’ intentions to succeed.

Shri Bhatia explained that the press conference was a continuation of previous discussions about the ₹5,600 crore drug seizure. The people of the country, particularly in Haryana, are shocked and outraged that the ‘C’ in Congress has now transformed from standing for ‘Corruption’ and ‘Confusion’ to ‘Cocaine Congress.’ With the arrest of a Congress officeholder, public support for the police has surged. The BJP is determined to stop the ‘Cocaine Congress’ from influencing the youth. Under BJP rule, the youth are provided with employment, better education, and improved sports facilities. While Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi is promoting sports, innovation, and job opportunities for the youth, the Congress party remains entangled in issues of cocaine and corruption.

Shri Bhatia questioned Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Bhupinder Singh Hooda, about their silence regarding the drug issue and the involvement of a party leader in the case. He said they are intoxicated by power and risk ruining the lives of the people of Haryana. However, the people, along with the Bharatiya Janata Party, will not accept this. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has clearly stated that while the Modi government pursues a zero-tolerance policy for a ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ (Drug-Free India), the involvement of a Congress leader in the ₹5,600 crore drug haul from North India is extremely dangerous and shameful. Under Congress rule, everyone witnessed the devastating impact of drugs on the youth in Punjab, Haryana, and across North India. While the Modi government is leading the youth toward sports, education, and innovation, the Congress party seems to be dragging them into the dark world of drugs.

Shri Bhatia also questioned the morality of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, urging them to clarify the Congress party’s connection to the accused in this drug case. Congress is infamous for forgery, including the backdating of documents and creating fake records, which Shri Bhatia described as the hallmark of the ‘Cocaine Congress.’

Shri Bhatia further explained that the accused leader was appointed on March 24, 2022, and after being identified as involved in the case, it was revealed that he possessed an amount of drugs exceeding the commercial threshold. According to the NDPS Act, the amount is beyond commercial limits and the sole intention is to get the youth of India and Haryana addicted to drugs. The Congress party claimed that the accused was removed from his position in October 2022, but Shri Bhatia demanded digital proof to substantiate that this removal actually occurred in October 2022.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia emphasized that the public perceives the Congress party as the 'Cocaine Congress,' a deceitful party working against the interests of the youth. He questioned how, immediately after the accused leader was caught, the Congress party quickly produced a backdated expulsion letter. If their claim is valid, how could such an individual remain in such an important position for six months—a fact even the Congress party acknowledges? Shri Bhatia further asked if Rahul Gandhi associates with people linked to drug trafficking, how can a ₹5,600 crore operation be considered insignificant? What place does such a person have in the Congress party, and how are they allowed in? Why is there no background check for such individuals? Why are people involved in harming women, engaging in corruption, or linked to drug dealing found in the Congress party? The Congress party must answer these pressing questions.

Shri Bhatia also pointed to a post by Rahul Gandhi on the social media platform 'X,' dated October 4, 2024, regarding the Haryana elections. In the post, Rahul Gandhi wrote, "These are the shortcomings, and as a result, the youth's talent is being ruined by drugs." Shri Bhatia retorted that if the youth are being destroyed by drugs, who is responsible for this? The Congress party. He noted that the accused leader held a significant position within Congress and was recognized as a member by the party itself. The BJP believes that Congress is attempting to mislead the public by presenting a backdated expulsion letter to suggest the leader had been removed. The BJP questions whether Congress has become the largest source of drug addiction for the youth, which is deeply alarming.

Shri Bhatia added that it is the responsibility of the Leader of the Opposition to take this issue seriously. What kind of influence is keeping Rahul Gandhi silent? The public is already branding Congress as 'Confused Congress,' 'Corrupt Congress,' and 'Cocaine Congress.' Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has made it clear that the BJP has a zero-tolerance policy toward drug abuse, and the BJP will continue to fight this battle against drugs—and win it. The crucial question now is what stance the Congress party will take. Will it stand with the BJP and the nation in the fight against drug abuse, or will it allow its own leaders to be involved in drug trafficking?

Shri Bhatia raised another issue, stating, "Jhuthe Vadey, Vadon Ka Kya Hai, Vadey To Toot Jate Hain Khatakhat, Khatakhat, Khatakhat." This applies to the Karnataka elections, Telangana, and now Haryana, where the Congress party is making hollow promises. The only guarantees from Congress are those of corruption, looting, and even drug dealing. If the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi come to power, they will bring corruption, inflation, and false promises. Congress' basket is filled only with empty assurances.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia remarked that it is widely known that the people of Himachal Pradesh elected a Congress government. In a democracy, the public's verdict holds great significance. However, the BJP questions how the Congress party has mismanaged the state's economy to the point that government employees are not receiving their salaries due to a lack of funds. Despite ruling for 55 years, the Congress party failed to provide basic necessities for the public, leaving people to seek sanitation in fields and open areas. This changed when Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji pledged to provide 12 crore toilets. The "Vada Tod Congress" party then announced a ₹25 tax on every toilet seat in Himachal Pradesh.

Shri Bhatia questioned the Congress party's actions, pointing out that while they talk about "Khatakhat, Khatakhat, Khatakhat," they are now charging the public ₹25 for each toilet seat. What wrong has the public committed? The people of Himachal Pradesh voted for Congress and helped form their government, yet Congress has failed to deliver on its promises and has driven the state into debt. Himachal Pradesh's current debt is around ₹87,000 crore, expected to rise to ₹1 lakh crore by the next financial year. This debt increase is due to corrupt actions by Congress leaders, including the Chief Minister and ministers, while the public suffers from their corruption. The ₹25 fee for toilet seats symbolizes this "Khatakhat model," which is becoming more prevalent. This is alarming and embarrassing for everyone. Congress, which claims to provide free services, is now focused on collecting money from the public for basic necessities like toilets. This shows that the Congress party has never truly worked for the public good, nor will it in the future. Its primary objective remains to enjoy power and promote the Gandhi family.
