Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Thursday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia criticized the Congress party and the Gandhi family for their corruption and illegal wealth accumulation revealed by the affidavit provided by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra while filing her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. The nomination highlights their corruption alongside Robert Vadra and underscores the Supreme Court mandate requiring the disclosure of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband Robert Vadra's assets.

 

Shri Bhatia stated that when Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra filed her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat yesterday, it would not be wrong to say that this party is not a ‘Mohabbat ki Dukaan’ but a ‘Dalali Ki Dukaan.’ The facts presented have raised questions from the people about the fake Gandhi family, who are perceived as ‘Bhrashtachari Number One.’ This nomination is an acknowledgement of the corruption associated with the fake Gandhi family and their brother-in-law, Robert Vadra. Firstly, there is a requirement in their affidavit regarding the assets of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her husband, as mandated by a Supreme Court judgement that requires candidates to disclose their own assets and those of their spouses.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that the first issue that has emerged is that Robert Vadra's declared net worth is less than what the Income Tax Department is demanding from him. The demands have been contested: ₹7 crore for 2010-2011, ₹3 crore for 2011-2012, ₹11 crore for 2013-2014, and ₹10 crore for 2014-2015, totalling to ₹75 crore by the Income Tax Department if all demands are considered together. Despite attempts to evade scrutiny, the demands in 2013 were ₹11 crore and ₹10 crore. It is unclear how much they have been collecting under the table. It can be said that the Gandhi family has ‘Dikhane Ke Dant Aur Hain Aur Khane Ke Daant Kuch Aur,’ with ‘Khaana’ meaning extortion. The entire nation is asking Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to provide information regarding the means of this dramatic façade, illegal wealth, quid pro quo, commission-taking, and Robert Vadra's ‘Crime Master Gogo’ attitude of ‘Aaya Hun To Kuch Leke Jaunga, Kuch To Khaunga.’

 

Shri Bhatia stated that the hypocrisy can be learned from the Gandhi family. Rahul Gandhi has consistently levelled false allegations of corruption against the BJP and NDA, claiming that they take money from the poor while giving it to Ambani. However, In his affidavit, Robert Vadra mentions a group that operates lawfully. It's been 11 years, and no one can point fingers at the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, who is as pure as Gangajal. Yet, they want to portray India as if Rahul Gandhi's allegations hold merit while his brother-in-law, Robert Vadra, who has been dubbed ‘Jija ji’ of India, holds shares in that same group’s company. What kind of contradiction is this?

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia mentioned that everyone wants to know how Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, can accuse a company while a person linked to his family is investing in it. What about the authenticity of the claims he is making? Why should anyone trust him? This affidavit reveals that these are people with SUVs and farmhouses, boasting of large vehicles and big bungalows. They even claim to have a big house in Shimla, which they have undervalued and misrepresented, even though construction permissions in the hills are typically not granted. This family has manipulated the law because Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's family acquired a home, and they misreported its worth. Hence, they are referred to as ‘SUV and farmhouse people.’ What do they know about uplifting the backward communities? The Gandhi family and Congress party are the ones who exploit backward and Dalit communities for their own benefit.

 

Shri Bhatia presented a photo, highlighting that Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are seated in the front. At the same time, AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, who hails from a marginalized community, is positioned behind them. This arrangement reflects a strategy of political optics, implying that a leader from a marginalized community is used for display but not given the respect deserved, as that leader is controlled from the background.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia stated that another relevant video has surfaced, emphasizing that no one can claim this is merely an internal matter. While decisions regarding ticket distribution and presidential appointments may be internal to the Congress Party, if a leader from a marginalized community is positioned outside of a closed room during a nomination taking place inside, it raises significant concerns. In this instance, that leader is AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge. What could be more unfortunate than the Congress Party resorting to such petty and disgraceful tactics in politics, exploiting an individual from the Dalit or marginalized community for their gain?

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia, while showing a photo from Priyanka Gandhi's nomination, stated that the picture speaks for itself. In this image, Crime Master Gogo Robert Vadra is seated in the front, alongside Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and her son Rehan. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are inside the room. Only five individuals were allowed to remain inside during the nomination process, and Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, 'Crime Master Gogo' Robert Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, and Rehan Vadra were present inside the room. The exclusion of the AICC president, despite coming from a marginalized community and having served as a Member of Parliament multiple times, raises significant concerns.

 

Shri Bhatia pointed out that AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge was kept outside the room, peeking in and waiting for permission from the corrupt Gandhi family to enter. This is not the first instance of the Congress Party insulting someone from a marginalized community. Sitaram Kesri, who also came from a marginalized background and once served as party president, was not allowed to complete his tenure and was forcefully removed from the Congress headquarters. Within the Congress Party, respect is reserved solely for the Gandhi family. Regardless of an individual’s commitment to the Constitution or dedication to the people, it makes no difference; they will only face humiliation. This has become abundantly clear. This sends a message that there is no place for merit in the Congress Party.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia pointed out that Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi has repeatedly encouraged youth and citizens to get involved in politics, assuring that opportunities will be provided based on merit. Shri Bhatia sarcastically remarked that it’s not incorrect to say Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is quite qualified; she is the daughter of a former AICC President, the sister of former AICC President, the granddaughter of a former AICC President, and the mother of the future AICC President. She is indeed qualified—so much so that in 2019, she was appointed in-charge of East Uttar Pradesh ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, yet the Congress Party secured only one seat out of 80 in the state. Consequently, Priyanka Gandhi was put in charge of the entire Uttar Pradesh elections in 2022.

 

Shri Bhatia stated that the Congress Party secured only 1 seat out of 80, yet Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who was in charge of East Uttar Pradesh, received a promotion despite the party's failure. In the 2022 UP assembly elections, the Congress party won just two out of 403 seats, yet Priyanka Gandhi was again promoted and given a ticket in Wayanad. That clearly reflects that it is indeed an internal matter of the Congress party.

 

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia questioned the declared income of hundreds of crores and the undeclared income totaling thousands of crores. It was noted that when disasters and landslides struck Wayanad, this corrupt millionaire Gandhi family did not donate even a single rupee to support the affected individuals. This raises the question of what kind of corrupt family this is. When disasters occur in the country, they choose to flee abroad. Rahul Gandhi, the MP from Wayanad, also did not donate anything to assist people during the crisis, as their sole focus was on advancing Damad’s interests and increasing their wealth, showing no concern for the common populace.

 

Shri Bhatia stated that the Congress Party should understand that "Daliton Ka Apmaan, Nahin Sahega Hindustan." The corruption of the Gandhi family represents a victory of nepotism and a defeat of merit within the Congress Party, leading to the humiliation of marginalized communities and Dalits. The people of India are asking with this hope that Rahul Gandhi will come forward to clarify whether the Congress Party is "Mohabbat Ki Dukaan" or "Dalali Ki Dukan."
