Salient Points of Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia’s Press Conference

****************************

According to the Indian Constitution and the Representation of People Act, 1951, it is mandatory for candidates contesting elections to share every important information related to themselves. However, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's affidavit did not indicate significant details, including those related to the National Herald, AJL and Young India.

*****************************

Under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution, voters have the right to know the criminal history of candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha as well as the movable assets of their families

****************************

In her affidavit, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has shared information about only three companies of her husband, Robert Vadra: Blue Breeze Company, North India IT Park LLP and Skylight Hospitality, while concealing details about other assets

*****************************

Robert Vadra's income tax returns reveal that his involvement extends beyond the three companies listed in the affidavit filed by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, showing stakes in two other companies as well: Real Earth Estate and Lambodar Art Enterprises Private Limited

*****************************

The Constitution of India and the rules set by the Hon'ble Supreme Court apply to every citizen and candidate, but the Nakli Gandhi Parivar considers itself above the law

****************************

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's concealment of information is driven by a political agenda, as the Gandhi family is known to be one of the most corrupt political families globally

*****************************

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are playing a game of deception, like "Bunty and Babli" in politics. Rahul Gandhi holds the Constitution, yet never bothers to read what it actually says

*****************************

Anyone who provides incorrect information in their affidavit should have no right to contest elections

Bharatiya Janata Party National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia addressed a press conference at the party's central office on Saturday. During the conference, Shri Bhatia noted that under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution, voters have the right to know the criminal history of candidates for the Assembly and Lok Sabha, as well as the movable assets of their families. However, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra failed to disclose crucial information, including her and her husband Robert Vadra's assets, in her election affidavit. He highlighted that providing false information in an affidavit under oath constitutes a crime under the law. Shri Bhatia urged members of the Gandhi family to uphold the Constitution by addressing these public questions and to show that they respect the Constitution as much as any ordinary citizen does.

Shri Gaurav Bhatia pointed out that the Bharatiya Janata Party highlighted important issues regarding the affidavit submitted by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra two days ago. A key focus was on the alleged corruption associated with ‘Crime Master Gogo’ Robert Vadra, who receives protection from the Gandhi family, adding that the affidavit appeared to be more of an acknowledgement of corruption by the Gandhi family than a genuine declaration.

Shri Bhatia highlighted the disrespect shown to the AICC president from the Dalit community, a matter raised by the BJP with considerable emphasis. There was also a clear sense of dynastic entitlement when Priyanka Gandhi Vadra submitted her affidavit, which the BJP noted. It is the BJP's responsibility to uphold the principles of the Indian Constitution and the statements of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, affirming that the law applies to every candidate and every citizen, further raising the question, Why does this "Nakli Gandhi Parivar" believe they are above the law?

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia presented facts related to the affidavit submitted by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra regarding Robert Vadra's property and challenged Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Mallikarjun Kharge to have the courage to confront the legal issues related to the deception and betrayal that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi have committed against the people of India. The BJP will bring these matters to light and raise questions about them.

Shri Gaurav Bhatia underscored the Supreme Court's judgement in the case of Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) vs. Union of India, directed that any candidate must disclose their criminal history as well as the assets, including movable and immovable property, and bank balances of the candidate, their spouse, and dependents. According to the ruling, in the case of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, it is essential to disclose the assets of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, her husband, ‘Crime Master Gogo’ Robert Vadra, as well as those of their dependents. This disclosure is necessary because the Supreme Court has emphasized that it is the right of voters and citizens to have this information.

Shri Bhatia remarked that while Rahul Gandhi carries the Constitution around, he doesn’t actually study its content. In one of its decisions, the Supreme Court has conveyed that “The voter has the elementary right to know full particulars of a candidate who is to represent him in parliament/assemblies. And such a right to get information is universally recognised." This right stems from Article 19(1)(a) of the Indian Constitution. However, Rahul Gandhi has been reading the Italian Constitution.

Shri Gaurav Bhatia expressed that the BJP, as a responsible party, has the right to voice public concerns. While presenting the affidavit of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Shri Bhatia mentioned the National Herald case, and added that it involves alleged misuse in AJL and Young India companies, with the Gandhi family reportedly taking control. The Gandhi family’s non-disclosure of key information to ITAT is also publicly accessible. In the judgement dated March 31, 2022 passed by the ITAT in regard to assessment of Young India for assessment year 2011-12, it is mentioned on page 53 that to secure 100% ownership of AJL by Young India, major shareholders and relatives, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, acquired an additional 47,513 shares and 2,62,411 shares through Ratan Deep Trust and Janhit Nidhi Trust, respectively. If Priyanka Gandhi holds 2,62,411 shares through a trust, why was this not disclosed in the affidavit? As this is an asset through the trust, this amounts to non-disclosure of assets.

Shri Gaurav Bhatia stated that there is a political aspect for doing all such things. The Gandhi family is the most corrupt family globally. When it comes to disclosing their assets, they think they can tear apart the Constitution, bend the law, and fool the people. But this won’t happen. There are millions of aware citizens who are committed to democracy and have raised these issues on multiple platforms. Why didn’t Priyanka Gandhi disclose the complete and detailed information in her affidavit? She has the right to hold a press conference, so she should do so and address this issue, as the public is seeking answers.

Shri Bhatia emphasized  ‘Crime Master Gogo’ Robert Vadra, known for his involvement in looting, commission-taking, and land grabbing from farmers. In the disclosure, there is a column of spouse, it lists personal loans and advances given to individuals or entities, including firms, companies, and trusts, along with other receivables from debtors and the specified amounts. The disclosure also includes the balance in LLP partnerships as of September 30, 2024, naming three companies: Blue Breeze Trading, North India IT Park LLP, and Skylight Hospitality.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Bhatia pointed out that the information brought to light by the public reveals that ‘Crime Master Gogo’ Robert Vadra is a partner in five LLPs. The other two companies are Real Earth States LLP and Lambotar Art Enterprises India LLP where he is listed as a partner. Isn't it the responsibility of Sonia Gandhi and the Gandhi family, who elevated Robert Vadra as 'Desh Ka Jijaji', to clarify whether these facts are true or not? The public is demanding to know how long they will continue to exploit and deceive in Indian politics. For this reason, it wouldn’t be wrong to refer to them as 'Bunty-Bubly'—they have come to engage in false and deceitful politics.

Shri Bhatia emphasized that the Gandhi family should not consider themselves above the law. When the law takes action, even the most powerful realize their true standing. If the Gandhi family respects the public, they should promptly address the questions raised by the BJP regarding the non-disclosure of assets, shares, and the two LLPs where Robert Vadra is a partner, which was not disclosed in the affidavit filed by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, as mandated by the Supreme Court's judgment.

Shri Gaurav Bhatia pointed out that the first principle is that no one is above the law of the country and the Supreme Court's judgment is binding on all citizens and institutions. The Gandhi family is not above the law or the Constitution of the country. The BJP has presented irrefutable documents with utmost responsibility, and if someone provides false or incorrect information in their affidavit, they have no right to contest elections. This is a very serious concern, as no one should think they can circumvent the law or treat the public as fools. The public is the ultimate authority and knows that the election process is not yet complete. There are statutory bodies and authorities that will examine the affidavit, which is submitted under oath.

BJP National Spokesperson Shri Gaurav Bhatia emphasized that providing false or misleading information under oath constitutes a crime under the country’s penal statutes. As a result, the public is demanding accountability. The Bharatiya Janata Party has shown its commitment to the Constitution by raising these questions, expecting that members of the Gandhi family will respond in a manner consistent with constitutional principles.
