Press release issued by BJP National spokesperson and Member of Parliament, Shri GVL Narasimha Rao

Addressing a press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters, National Spokesperson and Member of Parliament GVL Narasimha Rao lashed out at the Congress party and its President Rahul Gandhi for its desperate actions in the wake of an impending massive defeat. In the ongoing Lok Sabha polls, the Congress is staring at the prospect of a political eclipse and extinction, he added.

Mr. Narasimha Rao said that the grandiose statements made by Rahul Gandhi at the press conference today are an attempt to show false bravado at a time when the Congress Party is facing a massive rout. The Congress party is on life support system and is fighting for its survival in this election.

Stating that the Delhi presser of Rahul Gandhi was an attempt to convey that he is not out of the race in Amethi which is going to polls on Monday, 6th May, Rao said that the last bastion of the Congress in Amethi is crumbling in these elections.

Rao stated that Rahul Gandhi was losing from Amethi and has resorted to electoral malpractices like distribution of money and liquor in a desperate attempt to retain the seat. People of Amethi will teach a lesson to Rahul Gandhi by defeating him for his non-performance and apathy, Rao added. A sizeable number of weapons have also been recovered from Amethi and Raebareli showing a desperate attempt to even resort to violence in the crumbling bastions of the Congress party.

Making light of Rahul Gandhi's claims that the BJP was losing polls, Rao said that the Congress party is out of the electoral race and has declared itself to be a "vote cutter" party and dreaming of the BJP defeat. Poking fun at the Congress, Rao said that it seems that the Congress party is carrying out surgical strikes and defeating the BJP in video games developed at the Congress party headquarters.
