A press conference was conducted at the Bharatiya Janata Party’s headquarters in New Delhi, by BJP National Spokesperson Smt. Shazia Ilmi. During the press conference, Smt Shazia Ilmi accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of hypocrisy, claiming he indulges in luxury accommodation and chartered flights at the expense of Delhi's public funds. Arvind Kejriwal, once seen as a common man now frequents expensive hotels and suites, contrasting his previous image. Smt Ilmi highlighted his use of presidential suites and first-class travel, contrasting with his earlier portrayal of simplicity. She suggested that Arvind Kejriwal's actions betrayed the trust of voters who elected him on promises of honesty and integrity.

Smt Shazia Ilmi highlighted that the saga of ‘Delhi's Laatsahab’ continues, as the ‘Delhi ka Sultan’ seems to have indulged in luxuries to the extent that he has crossed the bounds of morality. While presenting some images, Smt Ilmi highlighted that this is the same Arvind Kejriwal who once traveled in an autorickshaw. For their own enjoyment, for AAP's publicity, using the Delhi government's money, Arvind Kejriwal stays in the most expensive rooms in the most expensive hotels in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Punjab. Be it a Presidential suite, a Maharaja suite, a Maharani suite, or an Imperial suite, whose expenses range from 2-3 lakh to even 7 lakh. They become even more expensive during the season and elections. While citing a document from the Office of the Chief Minister, Government of NCT of Delhi, Delhi Secretariat, Smt Ilmi pointed out that, during the Chief Minister's tour to Punjab, where their government exists and where he could stay in the guest house, he insists on staying in the most expensive hotel's Presidential suite. These bookings are also made by the body responsible for promoting Delhi tourism. When they go to Goa, they also demand an executive suite, and that too in the best hotel.

BJP National Spokesperson Smt Shazia Ilmi stated that by calculating the average or using a conservative estimate, rooms ranging from 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs each, and considering an average of 50 days, AAP had squandered approximately one and a half crore of Delhi's public money just for accommodation within a mere 50 days.

Smt Shazia Ilmi alleged that Chief Minister Kejriwal utilizes charter planes for his travels, and his family members and relatives travel in first-class and business class, with the expenses remaining undisclosed. Shri Ilmi stated that Arvind Kejriwal, who usually wears loose shirts, and Hawaii slippers, carries plastic pens in his pocket, and travels in a WagonR car, has suddenly become the "Sheeshmahal Ke Sultansahab."

Smt Ilmi mentioned her involvement in the movement with Anna Hazare, where they collected funds from vendors, street vendors, and auto drivers. The Delhi voters believed they were electing an honest government, but were left disappointed. She revealed that almost 60 trips of Delhi CM, either in Karnataka, Maharashtra, or Goa, had air tickets booked by DTDC, and Presidential suites were reserved. She disclosed that Arvind Kejriwal, who initially portrayed himself as a common man, was now staying in luxury hotels and suites, allegedly exploiting the poor people.
