Salient points of the press conference of the BJP National President Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda ji on the completion of eight successful years of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji which marks Service, Good Governance & Welfare of the Poor
● Service, good governance and welfare of the poor are not just words, these are the soul and base of the Bharatiya Janata Party government run by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji.
● Our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has worked tirelessly to put the country on a fast growth path and also ensure welfare and wellbeing of the poor and weaker sections of the society. He has personally monitored the progress of all schemes and programmes. This is the reason why India is progressing so fast and India today is the world's fast growing economy.
● Earlier there was a general thinking that 'nothing can be done in this country'. But today the Indian psyche has changed to 'Modi hai to Mumkin hai' (everything is possible under the Modi regime). The eight year journey is the journey of transformation of the Indian thought process.
● As the nation celebrates 'Azadi Ka Amrit Kaal', our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has taken head on all challenges and has led the nation from front, this is remarkable and historic.
● Earlier the government schemes used to be formed on papers, implemented on papers and used to remain on papers. But under the Narendra Modi Government, when a scheme is announced it is completed in the same regime and within the set timeframe. The last eight years have been the journey of programmers and policies being made on papers and implemented on ground within the set timeframe.
● The last eight years under our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has been the journey of the triumph of politics of development, growth progress and prosperity over politics of casteism, nepotism, communalism, appeasement and dynasty politics.
● Innovation has been the hallmark of the work culture of the Narendra Modi Government and the Bharatiya Janata Party. To showcase achievements and highlights of the last eight years of the Narendra Modi Government a special feature has been added to the NaMo App which people can witness. This is engaging, interesting, progressive and innovative.
● Under the leadership and guidance of our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji India has set new records in foreign affairs. For the first time, India's foreign policy has been totally transformed. Today when India speaks the world listens.
● Tomorrow in Shimla's historic Ridge ground, our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji will deliver the 11th installment of the Pradhanmantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. So far in 10 installments, the Narendra Modi Government has disbursed over Rs 1.80 lakh crores to over 12 crore farmers across the country.
● Our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has brought the government system out of policy paralysis which was given to our system by the previous Congress party government and has changed our bureaucracy who didn't used to take decisions. Now under the Narendra Modi Government, today we have a pro- responsive and proactive government which is highly committed to the last mile delivery.
● Under our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, our guiding principle and philosophy is -- Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas. Our goal is 'Antyodaya' -- welfare and wellbeing of the poorest of the poor. We believe in 'Nation First'. For us, Nation is our top priority.
● In the last eight years, our poverty rate has come down from 22% to below 10% while our extreme poverty has reduced below 1% and has stabilized at 0.8%. Under the Narendra Modi Government, our per capita income and foreign reserves have also doubled.
● India is creating new records in foodgrains production. In 2012-13, our foodgrains production was 255 million tonnes, now it has increased to over 316 million tonnes in 2021. This is a record since our Independence.
● Despite tough economic conditions due to the Corona pandemic, we were able to cross record exports of $418 billion. As compared to previous Congress party governments, the Narendra Modi Government has increased the agriculture budget by approximately 6 times. After ensuring 'Ease of Doing Business', the Narendra Modi Government is now focusing on 'Ease of Living'.
● The amount of FDI investment that India has got under the Narendra Modi Government is approximately 65% more than the Congress party led UPA government. This is the change that our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has brought in the economy of the country.
● After the clarion call by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the Khadi industry's revival was made possible and the turnover crossed Rs 1.15 lakh crores in one year. For the past two years, the Narendra Modi Government has been giving free rations to over 80 crore people with an expenditure of over Rs 3.40 lakh crores.
● Self help groups, security at workplace, permanent commision to women officers in the army, preference in Mudra loan, Beti Bacho Beti Padao, Sukanya Samridhi, PM Samarth Yojna are some of the schemes introduced to empower our women and girls.
● Eight years under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has also been the period of India’s cultural resurgence. While Yoga and Ayurveda has caught the world’s attention, India’s lost cultural and religious icons have regained its glory which include transformation of our holiest places like Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Baba Kedarnath Dham. Bhavya Ram temple in Ayodhya is under construction. It is just the beginning as India awaits to reclaim its glorious history.
● Before 2014, citizens of India used to think there were no solutions to some perennial problems and everything was left to fate. But our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has resolved some of our biggest problems peacefully and amicably.
● In the Northeast region, a new dawn of development has come. Terrorism and separatism has been controlled and the people of the Northeast have got relief from blockades.
● To mark the completion of 8 years of the Narendra Modi Government dedicated to service, good governance and welfare of the poor, the Bharatiya Janata Party is organizing a fortnight long series of programmes. The 75 ministers of the Shri Narendra Modi Government will take part in various programmes in 75 locations across the country dedicated to welfare of the poor.
● Today our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji interacted with childrens who lost their parents during the Corona pandemic and granted scholarships from the 'PM Cares for Children'.
