A press conference was conducted at the BJP headquarters, where the Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar, while mentioning about the National Startup Day, highlighted the upliftment of families from poverty during Shri Narendra Modi government's tenure and highlighted India's economic growth in the World Economic Forum report. Shri Chandra Shekhar emphasized the remarkable growth in the startup ecosystem due to the BJP government's relentless efforts over the past decade. Shri Shekhar contrasted the government's proactive support for startups post-2014 with the pre-2014 scenario.

Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar highlighted the irony and stated that those individuals who were discussing and advocating for justice today are the same people who, for the past sixty five years, were only pretending to eradicate poverty from the nation with the help of using empty slogans like ‘Gareebi Hataao’. On the contrary, he highlighted that several facts revealed that in the past nine years, 25 crore individuals have come out of the poverty line due to the welfare schemes  such as ‘Gareeb Kalyan’, and a corruption-free governance initiated under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who had reversed the ‘Anyay’ that the Congress did over the public for several decades. He noted that January 16 has been celebrated as National Startup Day and conveyed that it was crucial to note that from 2015 until now, the country has witnessed a profound transformation with over 1,00,000 startups and 112 unicorns. In 2012, a report was presented in the Parliament stating that nine groups had cornered 97% of the net worth of India's banking system.

Shri Chandrashekhar emphasized that earlier startups used to face a lot of difficulties in securing capital, and today the situation is such that, not relying on any godfather, but through their own efforts, innovation, and the power of creativity, one lakh young individuals have created startups, with 112 of them being unicorns. Union Minister Shri Shekhar conveyed that the BJP has been committed to the aim that in the next 10 years, this number will reach up to 1 million startups, and the goal is to create 10,000 unicorns. Due to the policies introduced by PM Shri Narendra Modi in the past three years in various sectors, including semiconductor electronics, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing, the nation will witness the emergence of more startups.

Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar stated that it is another example of 'Nyay' and 'Anyay', where before 2014, startups did not receive government support and capital from the financial sector. But today, our youths are competing globally. India, once a consumer of technology, is now producing technology, manufacturing equipment, digital products, and building futuristic devices here. Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar pointed out that, according to the President of the World Economic Forum and Goldman Sachs, "India is poised to become a 10 trillion Dollar economy over the next decade."

Shri Rajeev Chandrashekhar cited the Periodic Labour Force Survey, according to which the graph of unemployment has been recorded at an all-time low. He stated that those in the opposition who talk about unemployment should note the data: in 2014, out of 41 crore Indians in the workforce, 31 crores were forced to work without skills and education. After 65 years, Congress' legacy was that out of 4 Indians in the workforce, 3 neither had skills nor education. Shri Rajeev Chandra  Shekhar mentioned that from this situation, Transforming India, creating skills, and making people employable is what the PM Shri Narendra Modi-led government has achieved, and all these efforts have resulted in the declining unemployment trend.
