Union MoS and Senior BJP leader Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar addressed a press conference at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. Shri Chandrasekhar highlighted the BJP's strong performance in the first 2 phases of the elections and confidently stated that the BJP will also perform very well in the south. He criticized the Congress party for resorting to unethical tactics such as using deep fakes to mislead and misinform people, attributing it to their desperation stemming from their evident defeat in the polls.

Shri Chandrasekhar emphasized that as our Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has already mentioned, both phases of elections have gone very well for the BJP in the traditional strongholds of North India. However, in these elections, the performance of the BJP in South India will be historic. In Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, where the BJP is already strong, history will be made on June 4th. We will witness a dramatic change in the political landscape where the BJP is now emerging as the principal second pole in Tamil Nadu.

Senior BJP leader Shri Chandrashekhar stated that the NDA is engaged in a tight three-way fight with LDF and UDF. The response of the people for PM Shri Narendra Modi in the other 11 seats in Kerala will be evident in the electoral results in June. There is no doubt that the BJP's current 39 seats in the south will increase to closer to 60 on June 4th, covering Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Puducherry. During the elections, the common theme and narrative of the Congress has been the extensive use of misinformation and lies.

Shri Chandrashekhar stated that on one hand, the BJP's campaign and politics have centered around the ‘politics of performance,’ highlighting the work of Shri Narendra Modi over the last 10 years and his vision of 'Viksit Bharat,' aiming for growth opportunities and improving the lives of the people of India. On the other hand, the Congress' campaign has been marked by blatant lies, misinformation, deep fake videos, and bizarre economic proposals reminiscent of Marxism rather than offering a vision for the country's future. Examples of this have been observed in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and now in Telangana, where a party known for corruption and looting is also known for its dishonesty and misinformation. 'Loot' and 'Jhoot' have become the signature of the Congress party.

Shri Chandrasekhar pointed out that the same Congress party in Kerala misleads people by spreading falsehoods that the BJP will change the constitution after winning 400 seats in the elections. However, the truth is that this very party has amended the constitution more than any other party in the history of India. They resort to lies and even manipulate videos to create deep fakes. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had already warned about the dangers of deep fakes back in January, stating that desperate political parties would exploit them. Today, the Congress has proven the words of the Hon'ble Prime Minister to be true. Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has highlighted the Congress party's strategy of manipulating videos and spreading falsehoods about reservation policies. Shri Chandrasekhar pointed out instances where the Congress diverted OBC reservation to Muslims, such as in Andhra Pradesh where they allocated extra quota to Muslims at the expense of OBCs. Additionally, in the Ranganath Mishra committee report, the Congress mentioned plans to grant reservations to Muslims by taking it away from SC, ST, and OBC communities. The Congress party, in its desperation, is resorting to tactics involving fake and manipulative videos to mislead and misinform the public.

Union MoS Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar emphasized the seriousness of the issue. On one hand, Congress aims to implement religion-based reservation, which is in direct violation of the constitution. On the other hand, they resort to using deep fake misinformation and the politics of lies to deceive people. He stressed that this issue cannot be ignored, as there are significant consequences associated with such actions.
