Congress party must clarify on what kind of statement they have made having come up with manifesto which calls for AFSPA to be withdrawn or to be diluted much before creating a conducive atmosphere. Congress manifesto promises sedition law to be removed.

BJP senior leader Smt Nirmala Seetharaman on Monday slammed Rahul Gandhi and Congress party for lying and said he has lost his credibility. She said that to escape the wrath of Supreme Court he has just taken a politically convenient argument to “say I regret it”. It must be mentioned here that Congress Party’s president Rahul Gandhi expressed regret for his chowkidar chor hai remarks.
Smt Seetharaman further attacked Rahul Gandhi and said, “I would definitely want to say that it is a matter of credibility which is what gets hit badly.” She further said that Rahul Gandhi’s credibility has already taken a beating and he has lost his credibility by saying anything based on untruth and falsehood. She said that I feel sorry that a president of the national party like Congress depends on falsehood. BJP senior leader said that the matter is sub judice and hearing in Supreme Court will take place.
Smt Seetharaman also came out heavily on Congress leaders and former Finance and Home Minister P Chidambaram on his remarks on that India should change its behaviour towards Pakistan. She asked, what is the behavioural change they want us to do? Do they want us to take action on terrorism or compromise on our national security, she asked. BJP senior leader asked Congress leaders, do they want Government of India to state that J&K is a disputed territory much against the resolutions in parliament and our stated position. It is astonishing that a senior leader has come out to say that India’s position has to change, so it is up to the Congress party to clarify on what kind of statement what kind of statement they have made having come up with manifesto which calls for AFSPA to be withdrawn or to be diluted much before creating a conducive atmosphere, she pointed out. She also condemned Congress manifesto for promising to remove sedition law and said that is why this manifesto was thrashed by everyone.
