SALIENT POINTS OF THE PRESS CONFERENCE OF SENIOR BJP LEADER AND FORMER UNION MINISTER SHRI RAVI SHANKAR PRASAD JI HELD TODAY AT THE PARTY HEADQUARTERS

 

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Union Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad today held a press conference at the party headquarters where he lambasted K Ponamudi, Higher Education Minister in MK Stalin government in Tamil Nadu, for his anti Sanatan Dharma statements.

 

Shri Prasad said the highly derogatory statements of the Tamil Nadu education minister have made it clear that the anti Sanatan Dharma strategy is the "common minimum programme" (CMP) of the "ghamandiya" alliance. Sonia Gandhi who is the senior leader of the "ghamandiya" alliance has remained mum on the issue which proves that all the partners of the "ghamandiya" alliance have their agreement on this issue.

 

The highly objectionable statement of the Higher Education Minister of the DMK has made it very clear that anti Sanatan Dharma strategy is the "common minimum programme" (CMP) of the "ghamandiya" alliance. All the leaders of the"ghamandiya" alliance including its seniormost leader Sonia Gandhi has failed to say a word on this which shows that she has given her silent agreement to the highly derogatory statements.

The Congress party and leaders of the "ghamandiya" alliance ridicule and demean the "Sanatan Dharma". Does the leaders of the Congress party and other "ghamandiya" parties have the guts to criticise or ridicule any other religion? "Ghamandiya" alliance should make it clear in its next meeting that it does not have in their agenda to demean or insult the "Sanatan Dharma".

To which extend Sonia Gandhi and the "ghamandiya" alliance stoop for their politics of vote- bank? The Congress party  President Mallikarjun Kharge and his son have also targeted "Sanatan Dharma". All the parties who are part of the "ghamandiya" alliance have ridiculed, demeaned and insulted Sanatan Dharma.

The Bharatiya Janata Party talks about the growth and development of the country, and it also talks about preserving our rich heritage. Sanatan is the integral part of our great heritage. We believe in respecting all religions, but Hindustan will not tolerate insulted of Sanatan, and no one will tolerate insult and demeaning of the Hindu religion, our beliefs and our ethos.

We will tell people who all are behind this canard and derogatory campaign and where the Congress party and the "ghamandiya" alliance are taking this country for their petty politics and to grab power.

The I.N.D.I. alliance has been formed to oppose the Sanatan Dharma, and to give statement to finish off Sanatan Dharma is the result of the petty vote- bank politics of the "ghamandiya" alliance.

The "ghamandiya" alliance should know that despite ruling Bharat for hundreds of years neither the Muslim invaders nor the Britishers were able to crush or eliminate the Sanatan Dharma which is deeply rooted in the psyche of every follower of the Sanatan Dharma.

Why has the Congress party president Mallikarjun Kharge not commented on the anti Sanatan Dharma statements of his son and a minister in Karnataka government Priyank Kharge? RJD leader and Education Minister of Bihar also insulted the holy Ramcharitmanas and Sanatan Dharma, but why has Lalu Yadav never opposed it? Why is Sonia Gandhi silent on this ?

The Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya, which is a member of the "ghamandiya" alliance, keeps on abusing and insulting Sanatan Dharma. Has Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav ever stopped his party leader from giving such highly derogatory and demeaning statements that hurt sentiments of the people? Similarly, the Congress party leader Digvijay Singh has ridiculed Sanatan Dharma on many occasions, but has the Congress party ever stopped him from giving such statements?
